Mono Poison Team

Hello all, I've been using this team recently on PS! and it seems sub-par. I can't figure out what's wrong with it, as I haven't really been competitively battling for that long. I thought it was good but...

Dragalge@ Expert Belt
Poison Point
Mild Nature
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 4 Spe
Draco Meteor
Surf
Sludge Bomb
Thunderbolt

I wanted to use Dragalge partly because it's new, and partly because I think it has pretty good coverage. It also has some decent special attack. The Expert Belt helps with the coverage. The Ev's are just what PS! suggested for a "Bulky Sweeper".

Toxicroak@ Life Orb
Dry Skin
Adamant Nature
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 4 SpD
Swords Dance
Drain Punch
Sucker Punch
Ice Punch

I chose Toxicroak because it works well with the rain that Tentacruel can set up, since if he attacks, he'll get health back from Dry Skin. He's meant to be a sweeper, and PS! suggests these Ev's for a "Bulky Physical Sweeper".

Tentacruel@ Black Sludge
Rain Dish
Timid Nature
Ev's: 4 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Rain Dance
Scald
Rapid Spin
Sludge Bomb

I'm running Tentacruel as a weather inducer and a good special attacker. Also a spinner. It's been pretty reliable so far, but it gets shut down pretty easily. The Ev's are just what PS! calls "Fast Special Sweeper".

Swalot@ Leftovers
Sticky Hold
Careful Nature
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 4 Atk/ 252 SpD
Earthquake
Encore
Stockpile
Yawn

Swalot is my wall. I've got Earthquake because it checks most Steel types, and encore to screw over the sweepers that buff themselves. Or just anything that uses something worthy of an Encore. Stockpile is for obvious reasons, and Yawn can sometimes force a switch. The Ev's are PS!'s "Specially Defensive" ones.

Gengar@ Leftovers
Levitate
Timid Nature
Ev's: 4 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Substitute
Disable
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt

Gengar is a really good Poison type, so I wanted him on my team. I had seen people pull off a Substitute set on him, so I thought I'd try one. Pain Split is to regain health after Subbing, and Thunderbolt is for coverage. The Ev's make him a "Fast Special Sweeper".

Venusaur@ Venusaurite
Thick Fat
Modest Nature
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 252 SpA/ 4 SpD
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Sludge Bomb
Giga Drain

Venusaur is a power house. Based off the set suggested by Jack, I'll lead off with Sleep Powder, and, if successful, set up Leech Seed, and go from there. The Ev's make for a Bulky Special Sweeper.

Thanks for taking the time to rate my team. I appreciate all positive feedback.

Not bad. Thing i recommend on gengar is disable over pain split. Trust me, it can help you win the game if played right. Special venusaur is better than physical venusaur by a mile in my opinion. Venusaur@ Venusaurite
Thick Fat
Modest Nature
Ev's: 252 Hp/ 252 SAtk/ 4 Def
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Sludge Bomb
Giga Drain

If you wanna keep physical venusaur, replace something for baton pass speed boost scolipede. It will help you sweep with venusaur alot easier. Thats all i can think of.
