Round One
The crowd is building up here, at the ASB arena for yet another exciting battle. Out battlers come to the stage: Canis Majoris and Ute. Canis is the first to move, sending out a Chimchar, by the name of Red, apparently. Ute follows, sending out a Purrloin, by the name of Merle, in response. Out in the heat of the battle, Red is the first to move. Not in an aggressive way at all, he curls up, protecting himself from the inevitable barrage of attacks from the opposing cat. Merle, not reacting fast enough, begins to insult Red, making faces at him and yelling derogatory comments, but he did not notice them, thanks to his shield. Red now made a sharp movement; he took down his protection, only to attack Merle immediately. This scared Merle, and she was unable to move. However, Merle quickly got over this and shot a wave of lightning at Red, immobilising him temporarily. Ref managed to move through this immobilisation, and insulted Merle in a similar way to how she was insulting him earlier. Now, no-one has really gained anything, but Dog is paralysed, which may make a huge difference. Can Ute pick up on the flaws in Dog's plans? Or will Dog make this too tough for the beginner?

Round Two
Back to the ASB Arena. Merle moves quickly, seeming to almost teleport over to Red, hit it immediately, and teleport back — it was moving that quickly. Red becomes scared from this attack, and is unable to move, and just stands there, motionless. It is breathing heavily, but that is difficult to tell.
Merle disappears into the shadows, travelling over to where Red is. She attacks him with a swift slash from the darkness, and travels back to its original area. Red jumps up, high up into the sky, uses his tail to set his feet on fire, and drops down. He makes contact with Merle, knocking her back. Merle isn't too bothered by this, however.
Merle starts running around, building speed. She attacks Red from the side, running past and back to Ute. Red looks at Merle and tried to move, but is unable to.
Now, Ute has gained momentum, a useful thing in these battles. Is that, however, enough? He is up in health, but that can be easily changed. Will he send in Mincinno or Caterpie?

Round Three
Now, after some bad suspense, Ute sends out Stocke, a Minccino (I keep spelling it Mincinno :/ ). He is quick to kick and throw mud and sand into the eyes and face of Red, but Red is one step ahead of him. Red had, by this point, protected, leaving Stocke to slap a wall. Yeah.
Stocke now ran up to Red and began to tickle him. He burst out in laughter, meaning it must've succeeded. Don't ask me how he knows where they are ticklish… Red, regaining its sanity, ran around and back to Dog, wanting to be returned to its ball. But not yet. He was hit by a couple of slaps from the tail of Stocke, breaking some of Red's fragile… whatever. Red tries to counter this, but is unable to move. This leaves Red switching out.
