New Eragon - Really wanna see how this turns out

And Dark Knight - The sequel to one my favorite movies. Can't go wrong there

Yeah, the Dark Knight looks like it's going to be good. Mixed thoughts about Eragon..really depends on how he writes the plot.

Also lookin for Book 12 in the Wheel of time...but I dont think that comes out soon...Joker does look pretty BAMF...he one of my fav Batman villians

I just found out a third movie after the Mummy Returns is coming out soon. They moved it from Egypt to China, and it looks a bit unlike the past two movies, but I'm going to see it anyways, since I'm still a fan!

Olympic basketball is also something I'm looking forward to. It's the first time I want to watch it. Hopefully it gets aired on NBC.

New Eragon book is definitely of interest to me, as is new Artemis Fowl, though I've only actually read two of the books in that series so far.

Movie-wise, I'm looking forward to Dark Knight, of course, but I'm also interested in Wall-E. Pixar's movies tend to be pretty well-done.

Dark Knight pretty much. Hancock maybe.

Although the new Artemis Fowl book might be of interest as I liked the first couple ones... I also have to read Farenheit 451 and Brave New World for summer reading and I've heard those are good.

There aren't that many movies I want to see this summer... not like last summer where there were tons of sequels (Shrek, Pirates, Spiderman, and Harry Potter). The ones I can think of are Dark Knight, Wall-E, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I don't expect the Star Wars one to be too great, but I do want to see it for the back story on various characters that they didn't mention in the live-action movies.

As for books, I'm definitely looking forward to the next Artemis Fowl and the next book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. And then there's the next book in the Unicorn Chronicles that I've been eagerly waiting for since 7th grade (almost 8 years ago!), Dark Whispers.

I just saw an advanced screening of Hancock, and I wasn't really too impressed... The story takes kind of a big random twist like 2/3rds into it that I thought was really strange. Overall though I guess it wasn't bad, and the action scenes were all really cool.

I'm really looking forward to The Dark Knight... and not too much else lol

Edit: Except for the Olympics, which I'm super excited for mostly because I'm really into swimming and love watching it, and this year should be pretty crazy in swimming with micheal phelps tearing everything up. I actually have a pretty big bet with one of my friends placed on the 100m Fly, so that should be interesting too lol.

Note to self: actually check back on topics I've made...

I should go see the Dark Knight, although the Joker freaks me out a 'lil. And maybe go read random books in Borders, I'm to cheap to actually buy the books...

Omgomg.

Superior Saturday is coming out over here tomorrow. You guys in America have to wait another month. Shame, I guess we returned the favour for games.

I'm running to the shop tomorrow, to get a few books;

Superior Saturday - running there.
Saving the World and Other Extreme sports - Max Ride, ownage.
The Final Warning - also Max Ride.

!!!!The Dark Night!
Hancock.
Some other random ones I can't remember.
And a new book in the Inheritance series.
But that's pretty much it.

I'm looking forward to Hancock, like many. Will Smith's amazing!

Also, that Adulthood looks interesting. I've always enjoyed watching reality films like that. It looks down-to-earth and intriguing, to say the least.

I'm actually posting from the library right now, but aside from a couple of movies that have already came out (and that I haven't seen yet), I'm not really excited about anything this summer (aside from Dark Night, don't wanna be banned). I'm going to be checking out a book about the wold in the future where the ice caps have melted, so hopefully that'll be interesting.

Has anybody read Watership Down? I thought that was a great book...

I already saw Get Smart, and it was really good, I didn't expect much outa it but hey, Steve Carell is amazing and Anne Hathaway is cute!

I heard Love Guru was disappointing...not surprising, new comedy movies like that tend to fail. The saving grace is Jessica Alba for some people, I guess...

Dark Knight, like the rest of you, is top priority. Apparently it already got great reviews. The Joker looks creepy, but his character looks amazing from commercials alone, which is to be expected because it's Heath Ledger (bless his soul).

I'm kinda iffy on Hancock, but overall I love Will Smith and him being a superhero is just too cool to pass up.

@ BAM_UR_DEAD: I had to read Watership Down in 6th Grade GT English. I thought it was ok, but I was probably a tad too young to fully enjoy it. The concept of talking rabbits is cool and the storyline was pretty good. Too many characters to study for though...never got an A on those tests back then.

I'm looking forward to seeing The Dark Knight but that's about it movie-wise.

A list of things I'm intending to read/have read so far this summer:
Norton Anthology of Contemporary Poetry (done)
Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry
Paradise Lost by John Milton (done)
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad (done)
Great Expectations (done), Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
Richard III, Henry IV 2, Henry V by Shakespeare
Gulliver's Travels by Jonathon Swift (done)
The Iliad
A lot of Poe short stories/poems
Some Robert Louis Stevenson novels
A few Hemingway Novels (done)
An assortment of poetry/plays/short stories from various Norton Anthologies for British and American Literature

Most of that reading isn't really for pleasure though, it's in preparation for the Literature in English GRE subject test :-/ I am not really looking forward to it, but I figure familiarity with works is only beneficial for me. I am looking forward to some of the stories I have never gotten the chance to acquaint myself with though, so hopefully I get to have some fun in the process!

Dark Knight- That's a given.

Tropic Thunder- Full of shits and giggles.

Quantom of Solace...Nov 7th- C'mon guys! This is the sequal to Casino Royal!!!

Harry Potter movie- I don't read the books but my GF has got me into the movies!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button- Looks very very good from the trailers.

Well, seeing as i work at a cinema, these are my top picks for upcoming movies that are released in winter (US summer):

Hancock (3/7)- Will Smith is always quite good, and this looks set to be no exception to the rule. A new twist on an old concept.

Dark Knight (16/7)- Already have my IMAX tickets booked for the opening night, cannot wait! Heath looks terrifying as the joker. Has been touted as the 'Godfather 2' of Comic book movies by director Chris Nolan, which is a massive massive claim.

X-Files: I want to believe (24/7): I have always always loved the series since i was 6 years old, and so hopefully this movie doesn't let me down. Billy Connolly looks quite serious and freaky in the trailers, which is a complete opposite to the roles he normally plays. No plot details known.

Pineapple Express (7/8): Another film starring Seth Rogen that looks to be a classic in the making. All revolving around that margical herb, this follows the misadventures of Dale who inadvertantly is witness to a horrible murder and then becomes the target for a local crime lord. Could be quite funny.

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army (28/8): I love Guillermo del torro, with Pan's Labyrinth remaining one of my all time favorites. The first Hellboy wasn't too shabby, and this one should be alright as well.

heh, I'm waiting for both Brsingr (the new Eragon book) and the new Artemis Fowl book.

These are basically the only two series left unfinished which I used to like as a kid, just gotta finish them :D
