My first RU team - any tips?

Hi guys!

I'm new here, and I'm also new to RU play (though not to competitive battling - I have been since 2005).

However, I recently made this RU team, and it's lost nearly every match. Any suggestions to improve it would be greatly appreciated.

Uxie @ Sticky Barb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 126 Def / 252 SDef / 130 HP
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Toxic
- Trick

Standard wall. Sticky Barb + Trick is in there for the surprise factor. The other three moves should be self-explanatory.

Galvantula @ Life Orb
Trait: Compoundeyes
EVs: 252 Spd / 6 HP / 252 SAtk
Mild Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power [Water]

Special Sweeper. HP Water packs off Fire- and Rock-types. Life Orb for the extra power.

Rotom-Mow @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 6 SAtk / 252 SDef
Modest Nature
- Confuse Ray
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Leaf Storm

Defensive presence. Leaf Storm is in there to ward off Taunt users. The other three can also wreck the opponent, given the right circumstances.

Aerodactyl @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 6 HP
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Aqua Tail
- Dragon Claw

Sweeper. Aqua Tail gets rid of Rock-types. Choice Scarf because every bit of Speed helps when the nature is Adamant.

Weezing @ Lagging Tail
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 Atk / 6 HP
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Explosion
- Payback
- Gyro Ball
- Curse

This, again, is in here to take people by surprise. Curse helps to strengthen Gyro Ball. If things start going wrong, there's always Explosion. Also a physical wall.

Hitmonchan (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 SDef / 130 HP / 126 Atk
Careful Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Mach Punch
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

Rapid Spinner/special wall. Mach Punch and Fake Out for priority. Ice Punch to deal with Flying-types.

So... that's basically it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First, you have an item that hurts you on a wall. There is no reason to do that. A better idea for you would be a Choice Scarf Lead Uxie, to get Stealth rocks up early.
For Galvantula, use Thunder and Hidden Power Ice in place of Thunderbolt and HP water. Thunder has 91% accuracy with compoundeyes, and Hidden Power Ice provides BoltBeam coverage.
Choice Scarf Aerodactyl isn't necessary, as Galvantula is already fast and Uxie should have a Scarf. Put a Swellow, Zangoose, or Band Aerodactyl in this Spotto gain more offensive presence.
The Weezing isn't really good. You have a much better Physical wall available to you, and that's Steelix. Steelix gets STAB Gyro Ball, Earthquake, and extra hazards if needed.

Hi
Rule 3 said:
Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it. The standard description length required is three to four lines, if you need more insight look on the detail part, check out the RMT Archive.
Your current descriptions aren't enough; you need a minimum of three lines per Pokemon. PM me your updated descriptions and I'll unlock this thread.
