So far Kadabra has been the MVP, it's incredibly useful to have on hail and acts as a perfect blanket check to stuff that I couldn't afford to get a proper check for on the team. Glaceon is stupidly powerful and fun to use. Snow Cloak is cute but never works :(. Arbok is ass because I want to run 6 moves but can't.

B rank so far, haha. The team has been based off my Mega-Steelix stage Leafeon team. Steelix would have completely filled Regi's role with Pawniard's typing + secondary means of real offense, letting me get a faster wincon that can hit hard off the bat, or a ghost type, or bunch of other things the team is missing, lol, but I guess this'll have to do.

Wish Leafeon has been one of the more overlooked balance members, and to be honest, I have no idea why Leafeon as a whole is getting 0.8% usage right now. If the reason is Garbodor / Vileplume beats offensive sets, either try Natural Gift on site, or use Sawsbuck. Bulky Leafeon checks Kabutops, physical smashers not running mixed Ice Beam, Double Dance Rhydon, and other threats that a lot of teams are blatently weak to. One of my favorite aspects about Wish Leafeon is that it synergizes amazingly with the very Pokemon that would love any form of recovery and ways to remove status. Garbodor provides a fair transition into Poison type moves, Hariyama into special attackers, and Rock/Steels that rely on lefties otherwise love the fact that whenever people try threatening Leafeon with flyings/poisons, they get a chunk of health back. For a Wish mon, Leafeon is fast and strong, for example, outspeeding Specs Aurorus and KOing after SR damage, or KOing Samurott after SR+ Spike or SR + 1 LO recoil. May be worth investing in Attack to make it a normal OHKO after SR. For a defensive mon, it gets a lot of offensive value as long as your opponent doesn't have a Vileplume or Garbodor.

And by the way, I mainly posted the team to suggest making the requirements more strict, perhaps? I'm pretty sure whatever I'm running is not in spirit of a true Dark Horse project. There's bunch of Pokemon at very low usage that are actually very well established and already placed high in viability ranks, meaning most people who actually use the forums know about how good they are. Perhaps maybe the combined usage restrictions will get a bit harder given that combined 40% usage already left the tier, but meh.

Please post your teams, the total usage of the team as well as the individual usage of each, and fresh alts and go out there and "go for the gold". I really liked the turnout for July and cannot wait to see the turnout for August. May you guys have luck on the ladder. Also in terms of the new drops, they are currently OFF LIMITS until they get put on the Viability Rankings. Once that happens, I will decide the "standard" usage based on the rank they are given or "ban" them for this month as they have no usage for the month of July (50/50 at the moment so I will decide when they get ranked in ~a week).

Just a suggestion...maybe the next DH project should have an additional limit that pokemon with a usage over 5% can't be used?

When I was looking over the July teams, I saw a lot of the common/typical pokemon (even I used Sandslash and wound up replacing Whiscash for Quagsire), which makes a team easier to ladder and climb the ranks. A lot of teams (mine included once I replaced Whiscash for Quag) had total usage percentages still under the maximum of 35%, but were extremely close to it (usually hitting around 32%).

I just thought that it might be interesting if folks were limited in team building to force them to be more creative in it rather than use the high use percentage pokemon of the tier to fill the gaps around their Dark Horse(s).
