A standard arena constructed by the pokemon league to be a netural ground for beginner trainers, the Battle Plateau is a neutral, flat, semi-enclosed arena with symmetrical terrain. There are no real features, as it was designed to be as minimalist as possible to aid new trainers in learning the ropes. Due to having a open ceiling, weather abilities work fine. However, in the interest of keeping the arena as cheap as possible to maintain, moves such as dig which burrow into or otherwise significantly harm the ground are not permitted. The lighting is neutral, and comes from both the outside and various lamps placed on the walls of the arena.

This round starts off with a dazzling display of lights to try an even out the score, while the Slakoth despite being leeched off claps enthusiactly is this some kind of Dirty trick. Next turn Necty completely disobeys his trainers commands and does the light display again but this time for nought, whie Slakoth yawns very rudely. Necty tries to impress Slakoth again but Slakoth just sneaks up on it and Thwacks it on the head vine thingy, Necty is not bent on impressing Slakoth anymore but is quite sleepy
