ORAS OU Paper Shredder (TLR's HO)

So, I originally wasn't gonna post this team, but I lost a bet in the OU room, so lucky you guys I guess?

Paper Shredder
(sorry the title font isn't very fancy, please understand)

The core:

Prom Queen (Diancie-Mega) @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 32 Atk / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect

Trap House (Magneton) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

So basically, Mega Diancie and Magneton compliment each other really well offensively. Magneton traps those steel types like Ferrothorn and Scizor that would otherwise force Diancie out, and it can pick 'em off relatively easily with Hp Fire while taking minimal damage from their attacks. Magneton is used over Magnezone to give you the extra speed, allowing you to outrun the likes of Weavile and everything slower, which is nice because mons like Weavile can come in and revenge kill Diancie. Putting pressure on those mons allows Diancie to sweep through teams a lot easier than it could alone. Naive is used on Diancie instead of Hasty because that way it can always tank a Mega Lopunny HJK from full, which is by far the biggest offensive threat to the team. Another spread of 196 Atk / 60 SpA / 252 Spe can be used on Diancie if you wish to run a more physically oriented variant. This allows it to guarantee the OHKO on Volcanion with Diamond Storm while still securing the OHKO on timid Heatran with earth power.

The Wallbreaker:

Shrimp Cocktail (Crawdaunt) @ Choice Band
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Crabhammer
- Knock Off
- Crunch / Superpower

As the heaviest hitter on the team, Crawdaunt it a way to make sure fatter Pokemon like Chansey don't put you down. With a choice band, Crawdaunt is able to 1-2HKO just about every mon in OU with his STAB moves alone. Crawdaunt is also your one way ticket to checking and revenge killing faster Pokemon and set up sweepers thanks to priority Aqua Jet. Max attack is obviously used for as much damage output as possible , and a jolly nature is used to outspeed uninvested rotom and lando.

The Hazard Control:

Sanic (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Recover

While Diancie can bounce back hazards with Magic Bounce, having defog is still very nice because hazards can wear down this team very quickly if not taken care of. Latios is also decently bulky, allowing it to check common sweepers like Keldeo and Mega Zard Y. Draco is its main form of power, and Psyshock is there because it not only hits Mega Venusaur, but it also hit Chansey harder than psychic and hits Azu neutrally, allowing you to revenge kill it in a pinch. Max speed and SpA obviously make it as fast and strong as possible, which is what you want on HO.

The Booster:

Green Bean (Serperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Ground]
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

It's always nice to have a Pokemon that can really pressure stall like SubSeed Serp. While Banded Crawdaddy can break a lot of fatter Pokemon, he's very frail and doesn't always live for very long. Serp is another way to be able to pressure bulkier teams, as after a couple boosts it can become a devastating sweeper. Also, thanks to SubSeed, he can widdle down fatter mons and keep himself healthy enough to keep kicking as long as possible. 56 Hp evs means uninvested rotom's Hydro Pump doesn't break the sub, and max speed allows him to outspeed 110s like opposing Mega Diancie and Mega Metagross.

The Rocker:

Quaker Oats (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Knock Off
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock

Lando-t is pretty much the only bulk you have on the team, which is good because being able to pivot into physical attackers like Mega Lopunny and Excadrill that would otherwise cause you loads of trouble is handy to have. Also able to rock up against most physical attackers, Lando is a solid Pokemon that can support the team through intimidate and hazards. And of course, with U-turn you also get a way to safely bring in your heavy hitters like Diancie and Crawdaunt. The set is pretty self explanatory, as it has max hp and defense, with the Special defense allowing it to always tank a Mega Manectric Hp Ice from full.

Summary: Obviously, this team is very prediction heavy, as there's next to no bulk to go off of and pivoting can be quite difficult. However, if you can play the team well, it can be pretty devastating against the slower teams that lack immediate power. Also, use VoltTurn to your advantage, as it is a way to safely get in the heavy hitters like Diancie and Crawdaunt, who don't want to be taking unnecessary damage. And that's pretty much it, you just gotta hit 'em fast and hit 'em hard!

The Threats
Mega Lopunny
Capable of outspeeding every mon on the team and hitting all of them very hard (even Lando if it carries an Ice type coverage move), Mega Lop is the biggest threat to watch out for. It can be played around, as Lando checks it, as well as Diancie and Latios both being able to tank a hit from full and KO in return, but that doesn't stop it from really pressuring the team. Remember to keep an eye out for this fluffy bunny.

Excadrill
Whether he's in the sand or holding a choice scarf, this is another Pokemon that can outspeed the entire team and deal out heavy hits, capable of 1-2HKOing 5 out of 6 Pokemon on the team. He is susceptible to Crawdaunt's Aqua jet, though, and Lando-T usually takes very little from his attacks, so as long as you play smart around this mole, you can stop him from cutting through the team.

Mega Venusaur (and bulky grass types in general)
One of the more defensive threats to the team, Venusaur can sponge hits from both Diancie and Crawdaunt, which are the most immediate forms of power on the team. Other bulky grass types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth can also be troublesome, so be careful when you see these guys.

(There are obviously more threats, but these 3 are the biggest imo)

Edit: I added in some extra options for atks on some of the mons (HP ground on Serp if you feel the team struggles with Heatran, Superpower on Crawdaunt can stop Mega Gyarados from setting up in its face, and Knock Off on Lando if you want that utility over rock coverage). Added another option for Diancie's EV spread.

finishing note: This is my first RMT (and my first forum post for that matter), so sorry if the layout is a little etchy. Let me know what you guys think. Gen 6 is almost over, but I hope you all can have a lot of fun laddering with this team if you chose to do so.

Hey dude, your team looks pretty cool and there aren't a lot of threats that you cannot handle in some form at a cursory glance. However, Clefable and Bisharp both look very annoying to play against after a boost, and in the case of the latter you don't have a reliable switch-in as Crawdaunt is easily KO'd after an SD and hates being Knocked Off.

To mitigate the damage that both of those threats pose to your team, I'd recommend two small changes: physical Diancie and fast defensive Landorus. Physical Diancie is able to 2HKO specially defensive Clefable on the switch-in with Diamond Storm, keeping it weak so that it can't pose as much of a viable threat against your team, and regardless you still take out most of Moonblast's primary targets if super-effective (Latios, Garchomp) or have viable counterplay in your other members for fatter answers (Slowbro). For the Landorus, 88 Spe EVs should be sufficient to outspeed Adamant Bisharp so that it's forced to Sucker Punch and therefore do a lot less damage. You could also try using Yache Berry to lure in Electric-types like Manectric and Thundurus + mitigate the damage that Mega Lopunny can do with Ice Punch, but Rocky Helmet is usually more optimal.

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. While physical diancie does take on SpDef clef much easier, phys def clef is rising in usage and physical diancie has a much harder time breakering it. That's why I want to leave the option of running physical or special diancie up to the user, as both work and can take on certain threats much easier. As for Lando a speedier spread could work if you feel too threatened by bisharp, however that should also be left up to the user as well since Diancie can still revenge kill if you keep it healthy and the extra defense goes a long way when you're trying to tank hits from loppuny and excadrill. Again, it's up to preference and what Pokemon you find you have more trouble with when using the team.
