Striving for Balance

Excuse the awful/incomplete title (It was supposed to be "An Attempt At Quality), I got into posting the team + explanations and hit "Post Reply" without changing the title.

Hippowdon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/88 Def/170 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock

More SDef to handle LO Mence leads, Chain Chomp and other neutral special attackers.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/218 Def/ 40 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Grass Knot
- Reflect
- Recover

I feel Reflect helps me more than Thunder Wave, especially against Ice Fang variants of Gyarados. Enough speed EVs to beat Adamant Breloom, many variants of BulkyGyara (who like to sit at 245) and Jolly Tyranitar.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit

Kind of undecided on this. I have a pretty big Suicune weak right now. Yes, Explosion helps this, and Metagross's power with Meteor Mash is always very appealing. But I have also considered a CM Jirachi, both for a greater special attacking threat and the ability to provide Wish support.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 196 HP/62 Def/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Rapid Spin

Thinking seriously about dumping Rapid Spin, as it stands, Celebi is my only real Gyarados counter; and yet I don't want to lost the ability to hit Garchomp, especially since the rising popularity of Yache Berry is making it more likely that I have to hit Garchomp at least twice to take it down. My team isn't bothered too much by Stealth Rock (no SR weaknesses, three SR resistances) Toxic Spikes (well Garchomp and Hippowdon hate it but I have two steels and two Natural Curers). Spikes is a bigger concern with 6 ground based pokemon however.

Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 204 HP/54 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fire Fang
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
---

Pretty self-explanatory I guess. Do most people run this much HP on Yache Garchomp?

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/18 SAtk/240 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
---

Rest Talk Heatran, though I'm considering a defensive as opposed to a SDef build to better deal with physical sweepers.

It's been pretty solid for me so far, but I feel it needs to be looked at.
