Blastoise gets 2HKO'd by both Ludi's Giga Drain and Kabu's Stone Edge, so at most its a check. And of course, if either are behind a Sub, bye bye Blastoise.

Hmm. Amoonguss is interesting mainly since it can get something in freely

Mainly what you do is either Spore and set up for free, or set up and Spore for the free switch in. Stun Spore provides paralysis support for if you don't get RD down. Giga Drain / HP Coverage to do some damage. No offensive presence kinda sucks though. But with Regenerator this will be amazing!!

Looks really interesting especially considering great synergy with Omastar. Will add eventually.

I know, double post to spark more discussion: what about Sableye for Rain Dance? Priority and doesnt have to choose between Damp Rock and Eviolite like Murkrow. Spinblocking stops Spikes from Ferroseed being Spun away.

What about Ampharos? Its probably not viable but I have a slight Ampharos fetish.

Sableye isn't very good for it. While it is priority, Sableye is made for stalling and has a terrible case of 4MS. I wouldn't recommend it, but it might work. And sorry, but Ampharos is just meh in all respects...

Amoonguss is great because of its typing as well, good synergy with all the rain sweepers facilitates switchins and it absorbs T Spikes, which is masssive considering Qwilfish can and will set up against rain teams.

Also T Spikes are the best rain check, in conjunction with something like a leech seed / protect Ferroseed, bar none.
