Starborn opens the round with another Copycat! Copying the last move used, she sings again, but Horus is already asleep! He quickly wakes up, however, and strikes Starborn with a powerful Iron Tail! Starborn retaliates by psychically lifting Horus into the air, then slamming him back down on the ground! Horus continues his assault with a mighty blast of fire, which hits Starborn hard. Starborn immediately copies the move, but it's not as effective due to Horus' resistance. Horus finishes off the round with another Iron Tail, leaving Starborn on the verge of collapse.​
Since you've made this mistake twice, allow me to clarify that Copycat copies the move used directly before it. It does not allow you to choose a move to be copied.
New Data Audit said:
The user thinks about the last attack executed and repeats it exactly, duplicating the attack. The user may choose the target of the copied move. This move will fail if Copycat is the first move used in the battle, the last used move was Copycat, or the copied attack requires more energy than the user has. Charge-up actions and priority are ignored for a move copied by Copycat; all of its effects execute immediately when Copycat is used. (e.g. If Copycat copies Revenge, it executes immediately. If it copies Sky Attack, both the charge phase and the damage phase happen in succession, preventing multi-hit attacks from interrupting the user.)
