Did the orange shirt trainer's opponent always looked like a pixie?

I don't recall, nope. But who has time to ponder such silly things they're about to go right back into action!

Pinkie replaces his Froslass with and Unown holding an everstone. The Orange trainer switches out two of his Pokemon and kindly offers his opponent a counterswitch. Pinkie refuses and the show continues.

The fast ninja bug digs a hole going underground and avoid all incoming attacks. Mr Mime moves next and sends a chilly wind towards the two opposing Pokemon in front of him. Volkraken changes the temperature from icy cold to very hot hot hot with a steam Heat Wave at his opponent. New face in the battle: a Banette holding onto a Banettite, Mega Evolves and changes the temperature back to chilly bringing more pain to the Grotle and Unown, Grotle refuses to fall! he sends a red beam at the Banette and saps the health out of the ghost!...That doesn't sound healthy but hey You gotta do what you gotta do to survive. Ninjask returns to the surfaces, striking the Volkraken in the process but it seems to still be intimidated by the Tomohawk who's now cheering his team on. Unown summons some hidden powers around itself and summons icy surf towards Mr Mime and the Banette, who are now drenched with water, let's hope they're prepared for a shock!

Ninjask stays on the surface and slashes at the Banette with malevolent energy. Mr Mime continues keeping the arena cold just like my heart, and Volkraken warms it back up, talk about Global Warming. This transition from Cold to Hot faints the Grotle and caused the Band around Ninjask to glow again, absorbing some of the damage for the Ninjask. Banette summons a portal to the shadow realm and reappears attacking the Unown as it is cooling down. Uncool dude, uncool.

I remember the time we beat an Aurumoth because she tried to burn you but she couldn't because Water Veil is OP.

Sorry for the technical difficulties, we're back! Before we cut out and the camera went dead, things happened and a Floatzel fainted from the orange shirt guy's team. The Pokemon he sent out in its place the Tomohawk we saw before! Let's see what it would like to bring.

After Tomohawk intimidates his foes once again and taunts the Camerupt in front of it, the Ninjask strikes it with the speed of light, literately it was just a blink and the Tomahawk being knocked away by the impressive fast attack. Volkraken is next to move, summoning a huge tidal wave to ride on, crashing down on all who's around her, even her own ally, Snorlax! This surf washes away the Ninjask back to his trainer, fainted. Muk with her gooey body slips and slides to the Tomohawk and smack him in the face with electricity. Camerupt finally comes into the fray, releases waves of fire from its mouth towards its adjacent opponents, with sheer force this damage hurt the Snorlax pretty well for a Pokemon with Thick Fat.

Appear Snorlax is the one that caused devastation across this arena, hurting all that were around it except Tomohawk who was prepared and and flew into the sky until the quake ended.

Volkraken moves first and fires away a ring of water towards the Camerupt across the battlefield, The Tomohawk follows up with sharp wind shears at his opponents, KOing both Muk and the Camerupt in one go.

Appears this battle is coming to an end with orange shirt guy KOing all three of his opponents Pokemon that are on the field in one round. Hm? I don't even see Mewtwo in its throne chair anymore. Wonder where it went?

The Orange shirt guy switches out his Snorlax and Tomohawk and sends out Chandelure and Mr Mime to take their positions.

Honchkrow strikes the Chandelure with intense swiftness before it could even attack, KOing it in the process. As the Unown begins to chill, accepting its death, Volkraken and Mr Mime releases a fury of Heat Waves and Icy Winds towards their opponents, not letting them get any sort of break and ending their lives, and with our pink pixie guy out of active Pokemon to send out, Orange shirt is the winner!

Three things wrong about this round:
- Heat Wave A1 from Volkraken should not have the spread penalty, the attack only has 1 valid target. There is no mon across from Volkraken, so Unown is the only target. This means Unown should have died before A2 happened, and Volkraken should have used Water Pulse A2.
- The above also applies to the Incinerate used A2
- Icy Wind A2 should still have spread penalty on it. Unown died earlier that action, so it was still a valid target for the attack as well (yes I know, this rule is stupid). Doesn't change the fact that Honchkrow dies to it though.

4. Snorlax's Rock Slide A2 should have Consecutive EN Penalty applied to it. (Not noted at the time, R1)
5. Froslass' Shadow Ball (Chandelure) R2A1 was calculated with neutral damage, when Chandelure is 2x weak to Shadow Ball. (Not noted - That's on me ;;)
6. You fixed Bite's damage (Grotle vs Chandelure) but not the calculation itself. (Not noted - That's also on me ;;)
7. This error I noted on subbing in about the invalidation of the Mid-Battle Evolution. Decided it should count against you on account of the fact that the Handbook is explicit on things regarding how it works.
8. Mr. Mime's Icy Wind R3A1 should not have an accuracy roll against Grotle. (Not noted - Sheesh I missed a lot of minor details in my lookovers)
9. Same to Banette's Icy Wind

11. This goes as a knock at both of us. Pain Split R4A2 was incorrectly calculated. Muk and Mega Camerupt should have met at 47.625 HP, and having the move cost 47.875 EN. My fault for not seeing that as both a tutor and a battler. Yeah that's actually huge since that would mean Muk and Mega Camerupt would both be about 16 HP short of what they were at the end of that round. Damn :/
12. Heat Wave A1 from Volkraken should not have the spread penalty, the attack only has 1 valid target. There is no mon across from Volkraken, so Unown is the only target. This means Unown should have died before A2 happened, and Volkraken should have used Water Pulse A2.
    
13. The above also applies to the Incinerate used A2
    
14. Icy Wind A2 should still have spread penalty on it. Unown died earlier that action, so it was still a valid target for the attack as well (yes I know, this rule is stupid). Doesn't change the fact that Honchkrow dies to it though.

Battling Errors

1. Not subbing for Damaging Grass Combination when it was the most damaging option Mega Camerupt had R4 was a big mistake, just in terms of battling oversights.

Bonus Points

1. Yeah that Prankser-Passed Protect play was sweet
2. Nice flawless reffing of Unown's Hidden Power combo
3. Excellent use of moves with "Any Single Target" to make Volkraken a field-wide presence

Also a dunce hat for me not calculating for a critical hit possibility in Round 4.

To be honest, I have absolutely no clue what match you were reffing for this mentorship, but I don't think that matters too much. I think I speak for everyone when it is said that you are a very competent ref. Combine that with your knack for being a very timely ref and your quality flavor that you only fail to produce when working on a time crunch, in all your non-flashmatch reffings, and you get a qualified ref. The amount of errors that you made is slightly high, but that only appears so due to certain errors happening more than once, such as you not factoring Grotle's -Speed Nature into accuracy calcs on Round 3, but luckily that changed nothing. Also there was one error that not many people would've spotted, that one being the mid-battle evolution.

All of that to say, I support the advancement of you to Whitelisted Ref, knowing that it allows you to Self-Ref matches no larger than a 2v2, allows you to tutor the reffing program (which I think deadfox already greenlighted you for), and gives you the status you seeked via this program. This decision does need to be supported by deadfox081 however, so whenever you may deadfox, please post here Affirmiing/Denying my recommendation.
