RMT Cups
Introduction
Hello! RMT Cups were a popular series of regular live tours held in the #ratemyteam channel on IRC a few years ago, and we've decided to bring them to the Rate My Team room on PS to offer people some fun and challenging events to participate in. Rating teams does involve a lot of theory and metagame knowledge, but one of the best ways to get better at it is simply by battling! These cups are designed for just that; they will allow you to face off against skilled players, give you a chance to test your teams in a competitive format, and overall just have a good time.
Leaderboard & Rewards
The winners of each tour will be announced in this thread and a leaderboard will be recorded to keep track of the points players earn. Every two months we'll add up the points and declare an overall winner.
Points Breakdown:
- 32 Man: 5 for 1st / 4 for 2nd
- 16 Man: 4 for 1st / 3 for 2nd
- 8 Man: 3 for 1st / 2 for 2nd
- The top two seeds every two months will be recorded in a Hall of Fame in this thread and will be promoted to room voice if they show a willingness to get involved in the room as well along with the tours.
- Tours will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 5 pm EST.
- To participate, simply join the RMT room and type /join when the signups are posted.
- Do not ask mods to host tours at other times; any requests will be denied.
- You're allowed to join as many cups as you want.
- The first tour will be OU but we'll incorporate different formats as we go along. OU will get more exposure due to it being the most popular tier but there'll be plenty of opportunities for people to compete in other tiers too!
