RMT-OU Ladder Climbing Team

Hey, I'm new to smogon but not new to Battling. This is my latest team, I have changed it a lot, but I still think it can be improved.
[Jump=Team]This my Team[/jump]
[Jump=Threat list]Things I struggle againest[/jump]
[Jump=Opinions]What I think my team is like[/jump]
[Jump=Log Win]A log of one of my wins[/jump]
[Jump=Log Lose]A log of one of my losses[/jump]

Team:
[pimg]485[/pimg]
(Uxie) @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Def/104 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Yawn
- U-turn
- Reflect
- Light Screen
---Uxie is my lead, it is a great lead as it helps protect my team in the early stages of the game. As it might look I use it to get screens up. Depending on the lead I'm facing is what screen I use. Ie if it is a physical lead, I will set-up Reflect up and vice versa. I then Yawn and proceed to U-turn they either swap and I get a good scout or they stay and fall asleep. If they stay I would swap to Breloom, if they switch I would switch to a pokemon that is a counter to that pokemon.

[pimg]330[/pimg]
(Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
---Flygon is here as sort of my revenge killer. Chocie scarf helps him outspeed most things and the moves are there for the best type coverage. I may switch this in from Uxie's U-turn if it has the best chance of KOing the opponent. Flygon is also there to take out Kingdra, I used to have trouble with it but now Flygon can take it out.

[pimg]490[/pimg]
(Heatran) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Explosion
---Common set, Hidden Power grass for vaporeon. I believe it has better coverage over electric. I explode when I'm just about gone. I would not normally swap this in early as it is better as more a mid-game sweeper. I try and switch in from a fire attack that is targeting Breloom.

[pimg]286[/pimg]
(Breloom) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 12 HP/252 Atk/244 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Substitute
- Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch
---Breloom is a beast, a lot of teams I face are very weak to Breloom. I try and get him in after Uxie. And set-up straight away, once the sub is up I try not to switch out unless it gets completely walled.

[pimg]68[/pimg]
(Machamp) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/128 Atk/128 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Bullet Punch
- Dynamicpunch
- Thunderpunch
---The thing I like most about Machamp is the how many sets it can use, so for a while you have the element of surprise. I usually switch in after Breloom is dead, or breloom spores a person who completely walls it. I try to get some bulk ups up, and then try for the sweep. I put Thunderpunch in over Stone edge for more type coverage, and the only reason I would have stone edge would be for gyarados which Thunderpunch can KO it anyway.

[pimg]121[/pimg]
(Starmie) @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Recover
---Common Starmie set, he is here to deal with sub Gengar as it can rip apart my team. I recover the damage from life orb recoil. Thunderbolt to take out bulky waters. Surf and Psychic for STAB. I was thinking I may turn this into Scarf'd set to make sure I can out-speed most things and change recover for Ice Beam.

Threat List-
I have been founding trouble with ghost types such as Gengar and Dusknoir. If either of them set-up I'm basically going to lose. I sometimes struggle againest Lead Machamps, but depending on what moves they have I can sometimes beat it with Starmie after reflect is up.
I also have troubles with Breloom, Machamp and Breloom are ok at beating but I want something that can beat it 100% which doesn't sacarfice to many of my pokemon. You all are saying what about Heatran, well what I have found when I switch in it either gets spored on entry or the breloom will sub and next turn use Focus Punch.

Opinions-

I think I may have too many physical sweepers. I notice this when I versus skarmony, it doesn't shut me down it just limits my opitions if Heatran is dead. I have also noticed that the longer a match goes the more I have a tendency to lose, I believe my team is a team that has to hit it hard and fast. I have also noticed that I either win big or lose big, which suggests that my team is weak to certain pokemon.

Yeah, that's about it. Thanks for your help.

Use Ice Beam over Psychic on Starmie. It provides better coverage, and helps against Dragonite who could set up easily on some of your Pokemon.

Just a quick rate, I'm tired.

Good luck.

Weaknesses:
Swords Dance Adamant Lucario
Offensive Suicune
Offensive gyarados
Lack of Stealth Rock

How they're threats
Lucario doesn't get too many opportunities to come in, but if he comes in on Flygon's Stone Edge or to force Heatran out, it can get a Swords Dance boost, and OHKO your enitre team with Close Combat and Extremespeed, and Uxie with Crunch. Suicune doesn't get too many opportunities, but is still a threat nonetheless if it comes in on Heatran, which is when you're forced to explode, (if it uses Calm Mind), which takes out your only Dragon, and Outrage resist. Starmie can't OHKO Suicune with Thunderbolt when its at +1, and risks being OHKOd by +1 Hidden power Electric after Stealth Rock. Gyarados and lack of Stealth Rock weakness fit in the same category lol. Without Stealth Rock, you won't be OHKOing Offensive or Bulky variants with Flygon's Stone Edge anytime soon.

Solutions
First thing's first, replace Yawn on Uxie with Stealth Rock, so you actually have a chance of killing Gyarados with Flygon's Stone Edge. You say you get walled by Skarmory if Heatran is down, but have you ever considered Rotom-A over Machamp. Machamp and Breloom on the same team is kinda eh. Machamp checks Tyranitar, which Breloom already covers, and Screens + Substitute attacker is too good to pass up. I think you could try Specs Rotom-W over Machamp. This thing has the potential to annihilate Suicune even at +1, and Adamant Lucario is screwed by a Specs boosted STAB Thunderbolt, it also gives you something to screw over Skarmory, and fuck up Blissey's walling attempts through Trick. Rotom also gives you a better Fighting immunity, as Starmie is simply isn't enough (it takes huge amounts from Close Combats without investment).

Here's the set:
Rotom-w @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 40 HP/216 SAtk/252 Spe
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Trick

As for Jolly Lucario, you should try this spread over your current Flygon: 48 HP/ 232 Atk / 228 Spe Jolly nature, to always survive +2 Jolly ExtremeSpeed from lucario, and KO it with Earthquake.(got that set from Nosferalto rating another team :P). Also try Taunt over Explosion on heatran, as it gives you an awesome Pokemon to push around stall teams, as Blissey won't be crippling you, or healing itself from repeated Fire Blast assaults. With Blissey gone, Rotom-w and Starmie can sweep with nothing stopping them.

Anyway, GL

Hi Horizon, welcome to Smogon! TLK has made a lot of good points already, so I'll get to my rate immediately.

Notable Threats

  • LO Starmie
Opposing Starmie can cause some problems for your team, but the threat isn't game-breaking. The usage of dual screens helps, but Starmie's excellent coverage means that it will still 2HKO most of your team. Probably the best way to deal with it is to get Flygon in on a Thunderbolt, and U-Turn it for heavy damage.

  • SD Lucario
Lucario can be quite a major threat, considering that it can single-handedly sweep your team after one Swords Dance when screens are down. The main problem here is that all of your faster sweepers are frail enough to be OHKO's by a +2 Extremespeed, while Close Combat will of course OHKO anything slower.

Suggestions

  • Use Stealth Rock over Yawn on Uxie
Seconding this. There's really not much to comment on here, as Stealth Rock is undoubtedly the best move in the game; the entry hazard damage combined and its ease of setup make it invaluable.

  • Add a Lucario check
To prevent your team from being swept by Lucario, you'll need a way to check it. Rotom-A is one of the best Lucario checks, and has a variety of viable sets. You could use TLK's suggestion of Specs Rotom, or even try out a Scarf Rotom; either way, both will also help you deal better against Gyarados.

  • Try Suicune over Starmie
I feel that Dual Screens function best with team members who possess a reasonable amount of bulk. If Starmie's frailty is of notable concern, an Offensive Suicune is an option to replace it; Suicune shares similar typing and move coverage with Starmie, while being extremely bulky at the same time. Here is the set below:

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spe / 252 SpA
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Surf

As stated before, this set has a lot in common with Starmie, with the main difference being speed over bulk. The reason Suicune takes advantage of Dual Screens well is because it is already very bulky to begin with, but under Screens can easily accumulate multiple Calm Minds and sweep opponents.

Good luck with your team!
