Sableye [Singles] [QC 2/2] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Sableye's excellent bulk and access to support moves and reliable recovery allow it to be an effective stop to many physical attackers and defensive Pokemon such as Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp, Chansey, and Cresselia. Its Dark / Ghost typing gives it immunities to Fighting, Normal, and Psychic, a resistance to Poison, and only weak to Fairy. Magic Bounce allows Mega Sableye to effectively bounce back any kind of status move, making it a great status absorber and letting it act as a setup Pokemon that doesn't have to worry about Taunt, Leech Seed, and any status-inducing moves such as Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, and Thunder Wave. Mega Sableye is also the biggest counter to SwagPlay strategies, making your opponent think twice before sending out Klefki, Liepard, and Thundurus. Sableye also has access to Prankster prior to Mega Evolution, which grants its non-damaging moves priority, notably letting it burn its foes with Will-O-Wisp and recover off damage with priority. Sableye uses both the number of physical attackers dominating the metagame and entry hazards being less common in Battle Spot Singles to its advantage by not having to Mega Evolve the first turn, letting it punish Pokemon such as Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp, and Landorus-T with Prankster Will-O-Wisp and Mega Evolve when it needs to.

Battle Spot Singles is a very fast-paced metagame, which means Sableye can't utilize its stalling capability to its full potential. Even with Mega Sableye's extra bulk, its low HP is a problem. With the Speed decrease after Mega Evolving, Mega Sableye will have huge difficulty outspeeding any threat in the metagame. However, priority STAB Sucker Punch along with its passable Attack after Mega Evolution assists with its terrible Speed. Sableye still lacks offensive presence, though, increasing its reliance on setting up Calm Mind to deal more damage. However, Foul Play helps with that against the monstrous physical attackers of Battle Spot. Also, Sableye is very vulnerable to wallbreakers and setup sweepers such as Hydreigon, Mega Charizard X, Serperior, and Thundurus, so leaving it in against those threats would mean trouble for the jewel thief.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Will-O-Wisp gives Mega Sableye and its teammates excellent support in crippling physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Salamence, and Garchomp, which helps it set up Calm Mind on them. This also helps get residual damage on Pokemon that lack recovery such as Ferrothorn. Recover gives Mega Sableye a reliable recovery move, increasing its longevity so that it can gain more Calm Mind boosts and wear down the opposing team with Will-O-Wisp. Calm Mind boosts Mega Sableye's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, making it a bulky sweeper and helping it survive special attacks. Snarl reduces the opposing Pokemon's Special Attack by one stage. With Calm Mind and Recover, it can assist in stalling out opposing Calm Mind users such as Raikou.

Set Details
========

Prankster gives Sableye priority on Will-O-Wisp, Recover, and Calm Mind. Prankster is active on the turn Sableye Mega Evolves as well. Sablenite is used to increase Sableye's bulk, allowing it to check many physical attackers and defensive Pokemon. Gaining Magic Bounce helps Mega Sableye be a great status absorber, bouncing back any status move to the foe. Maximum HP and Defense EVs with a Bold nature optimize Sableye's bulk because the majority of attackers in Battle Spot Singles are physical, such as Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Mawile, Garchomp, Mamoswine, and Landorus-T.

Usage Tips
========

Make sure to Mega Evolve Sableye and set up Calm Mind on defensive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Chansey, and Porygon2, which are likely to status it. Chansey and Ferrothorn can't do anything to Mega Sableye. If the opponent has Heatran and leads with a physical attacker like Garchomp, they will usually expect Will-O-Wisp and switch out to get the Flash Fire boost. On some occasions, you really don't need to Mega Evolve Sableye, as it can stall out some physical attackers on its own. For example, against Landorus-T and Garchomp, Sableye can use Prankster Will-O-Wisp to burn them, cutting their Attack and dealing residual damage each turn while Sableye stalls them out with Recover. Mega Sableye is very vulnerable to Fairy-types, so keep it away from them and make sure you have a partner for them.

Entry hazards aren't all that common in Battle Spot Singles due to it being fast paced, so you can focus more on Sableye stalling out the foes. Dealing with special attackers can be tricky because Sableye's Special Defense isn't all that great. The best it can do is set up Calm Mind on the first turn and then Mega Evolve to go for Recover. Mega Sableye has a huge presence in Team Preview for the opponent. Many physical attackers don't enjoy getting burned by Will-O-Wisp, so the opponent will most likely bring their special attackers and leave their physical threats such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Mega Kangaskhan behind. Play this to your team's advantage when picking which three to send out to battle. Mega Sableye should definitely not stay in on dangerous special attackers such as Choice Specs Hydreigon and Serperior unless it has set up enough Calm Minds. Because Mega Sableye is slow and almost always goes second, it is very important to keep track of its HP and how much damage the foes do so you can judge when to use Recover and when to set up Calm Mind.

Team Options
========

Heatran 4x resists Fairy-type attacks, while Mega Sableye can safely switch into Fighting-type attacks. Excadrill can also remove Fairy-types from the field with STAB Iron Head and dent Electric- and Fire-types such as Raikou and Heatran with Earthquake. Additionally, Choice Scarf variants of Excadrill carry Rock Slide, demolishing Talonflame and Mega Charizard Y. Scizor can use Fairy-types to set up with Swords Dance and eliminate them with Bullet Punch. Clefable makes for a great partner for Mega Sableye because many sweepers like to set up on it. Switching Unaware Clefable into the foe can prevent them from using Mega Sableye as a setup fodder. Mega Sableye can also switch into resisted Poison-type moves for Clefable and burn some physical Steel-types that threaten Clefable such as Excadrill and Scizor. Thundurus can paralyze the foe with Thunder Wave or shut down defensive Pokemon with Taunt, allowing Mega Sableye to get free turns to set up Calm Mind.

Gengar can be a nice partner, removing Fairy-types with its Poison-type STAB move and switching into Ground-type moves due to Levitate. Together, Chansey and Mega Sableye can make a fine defensive core. With Mega Sableye burning the foe with Will-O-Wisp, both Pokemon can tank more hits from physical attackers. Chansey's amazing special bulk lets it switch into several special attacks for Mega Sableye, while it appreciates the removal of Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar and Aegislash. Breloom can provide Spore support along with eliminating Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Talonflame with Rock Tomb. Also, it can help clear the field of Water-types such as Suicune and Rotom-W. While Breloom is a shaky check to Fire-types, with Focus Sash + Rock Tomb and Spore, it has a chance to stop them in their tracks.Latias can provide Thunder Wave support and switch into predicted Ground-type moves, as well as use Healing Wish to bring Mega Sableye in with full health along with healing it of any status. Choice variants of Latias help cripple Suicune, a common check that can use Sableye as setup fodder due to Pressure and superb bulk, and it also helps eliminate Fighting-types such as Blaziken and Mega Lopunny that threaten Mega Sableye.

Bulky Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Mamoswine are all fine partners with Sableye. Not only are they great Stealth Rock users, but they also are able to check dangerous Fire- and Steel-types such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, Mega Lucario, and Mega Mawile. The former two also deal with Blaziken, while Mamoswine is able to check Mega Altaria and Mega Salamence relatively well. Mega Kangaskhan is a great partner for Sableye, as it can eliminate Pokemon that Sableye hates such as Mega Salamence, Clefable, and Heatran. VoltTurn support in general from partners such as Rotom-W and Landorus-T is neat for getting Sableye in safely because it's not very bulky prior to Mega Evolving.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Will-O-Wisp is required on Mega Sableye to cripple physical attackers. Recover replenishes Mega Sableye's health and pairs nicely with Will-O-Wisp to rack up damage every turn while stalling. Foul Play punishes setup sweepers such as Mega Salamance, Mega Kangaskhan, Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, and Aegislash. Taunt helps with stallbreaking Pokemon such as Chansey along with preventing Pokemon from setting up on it prior to Mega Evolution. Sucker Punch is a great STAB move for Mega Sableye, as it can deal massive damage against frail Pokemon such as Mega Gengar. Together, Foul Play + Sucker Punch is a guaranteed KO on Mega Gengar. When using Sucker Punch over Taunt, Mega Sableye will need to be wary of stall Pokemon and setup sweepers such as Suicune, Clefable, and Mega Salamence.

Set Details
========

252 HP EVs optimize Mega Sableye's overall bulk, and 204 Defense EVs with an Impish nature increase its physical bulk. 52 Special Defense EVs help Sableye take special attacks from the likes of Mega Gengar and Aegislash and give it a chance to survive Serperior's Leaf Storm at +4 Special Attack. Prankster gives Sableye's non-attacking moves priority before and while it Mega Evolves. Sablenite is used to increase Sableye's bulk. With this in mind, the physical bulk and Will-O-Wisp will allow Mega Sableye to wall several physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan, Landorus-T, and Garchomp.

Usage Tips
========

Stallbreaker Sableye can easily disable defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Chansey, and Ferrothorn with Taunt. You can use the free turn as an opportunity to switch in a setup sweeper while they can't recover any health for the next turn. You can burn any physical attackers you see with Will-O-Wisp; the only thing to worry about is using it when you see a Fire-type in Team Preview because that'll just give them a safe switch in. After burning them, you can stall out the physical attackers with Recover + Foul Play. This makes Mega Sableye a pretty good lead. You can also trick your opponent because many always lead with a Mega Sableye counter, expecting Mega Sableye to come out first. Mega Sableye is best switched in from a fallen teammate because it doesn't want to take any hits on the switch prior to Mega Evolving. When Mega Sableye is low on health, it's best to just keep it in as death fodder due to its terrible Speed. Most opponents don't expect this set, so Taunt / Sucker Punch might be able to catch them off guard.

Team Options
========

Heatran, Excadrill, Scizor, and Aegislash get rid of Fairy-types for Sableye. Rotom-W can be paired up with Heatran and Mega Sableye, as the three provide excellent synergy with each other. Rotom-W can switch in on resisted Water- and Electric-type attacks for Heatran and Mega Sableye and is immune to Ground-type moves. Landorus-T can eliminate Fire- and Steel-types such as Talonflame and Excadrill. Sylveon helps eliminate Dark- and Dragon-types such as Hydreigon, Mega Altaria, Mega Salamence, and Garchomp with Pixilate Hyper Voice. Ditto is a great revenge killer against offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gengar and Mega Charizard X. Mamoswine and Excadrill are immune to Electric-type attacks and can check Fire-types such as Talonflame and Mega Charizard X and Y. Greninja provides excellent coverage, getting rid of various Pokemon that threaten Mega Sableye such as Sylveon, Clefable, Thundurus, Mega Salamence, and Mega Altaria. Togekiss can be a nice teammate for clearing the field of Dark-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and Grass-types such as Hydreigon, Garchomp, Blaziken, and Serperior. Sableye appreciates Mega Kangaskhan on its team, as it is useful in some matchups that are unfavorable for Sableye. This can catch players off guard, as the presence of Mega Sableye in Team Preview can make the opponent bring their special attackers such as Mega Gengar, Aegislash, and Greninja. Return or Double-Edge from Mega Kangaskhan can KO many threats, and it outspeeds Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Clefable. Mega Kangashkan also has access to Ice Punch to deal with Dragon-types such as Mega Salamence, Mega Altaria, and Garchomp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Dark Pulse can be used for perfect accuracy with Calm Mind, but Snarl is much better to help Sableye stall out special attackers. Metal Burst can be used as a surprise attack to many setup sweepers and powerful attackers, but Sableye doesn't have the bulk to take too much damage prior to Mega Evolving. Mega Sableye would be able to take certain attacks such as burned Bisharp's Iron Head at +2; the problem is that its low Speed keeps it from outspeeding many threats to use Recover, which makes Mega Sableye an open target for another attack. Gravity can be used to boost Will-O-Wisp's and Snarl's accuracy to 100 percent along with giving teammates such as Garchomp and Landorus-T the ability to hit Flying-types such as Zapdos and Talonflame with Earthquake. However, Gravity gives your team pretty slow momentum, only lasts for five turns, and requires a turn to set up, which is pretty critical in the metagame. Swagger can be used to confuse foes and increase the damage output of Foul Play; however, Sableye is outclassed by Thundurus and Klefki as a Swagger user, as they both have access to Prankster Thunder Wave, and Klefki has excellent defensive typing, boasting useful resistances to Flying, Ice, Dark, and most importantly Fairy, which Sableye is weak to.

Leftovers is useful together with Recover to gain back health. Shadow Ball hits Ghost- and Psychic-types; however, Dark Pulse and Snarl hit everything that Shadow Ball does and don't leave Mega Sableye walled by Normal-types. Substitute allows Sableye to avoid any status moves and can be used to stall with Will-O-Wisp or Toxic. With Prankster, Sableye will freely set up a Substitute if it's not fighting faster Prankster users such as Thundurus and Whimsicott. Knock Off can be used to hit item-reliant Pokemon such as Garchomp, Chansey, Landorus-T, and Porygon2. Power Gem allows Mega Sableye to hit Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Talonflame, and Weavile. However, Mega Sableye relies more on its STAB moves. Toxic is good for putting defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Porygon2 on a timer, but Will-O-Wisp is much more viable due to it crippling physical attackers, despite the increase in damage Toxic does each turn. A specially defensive spread along with a Calm nature is viable when using the Calm Mind set. This can catch people off guard; Mega Sableye will likely lure in special attackers such as Mega Gengar, Aegislash, and Greninja and deal with them better. Prankster Will-O-Wisp still helps against physical attackers, so you don't have to worry too much about the loss of Defense.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Dealing with Fairy-types can be a massive dilemma for Sableye. Sableye is unable to tank hits from Fairy-types and oftentimes can't cripple them with Will-O-Wisp, as the majority of them are special attackers. Clefable has Unaware, which can discourage Mega Sableye from setting up Calm Mind, and can proceed to KO it with Moonblast. Even though Mega Mawile gets burned by Prankster Will-O-Wisp, it can proceed to use Sableye as setup fodder by using Swords Dance and threaten it thanks to its ability Huge Power. Azumarill can use Belly Drum even if Mega Sableye has burned it and KO it with STAB Play Rough.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types have an immunity to Will-O-Wisp, which makes Mega Sableye vulnerable to several threats. Blaziken, Mega Charizard X, and Volcarona can all use Mega Sableye as setup fodder. Mega Charizard Y can deal a lot of damage to Mega Sableye under the sun with its STAB Fire-type moves, acting as a great wallbreaker. Heatran can switch in and get a Flash Fire boost from Will-O-Wisp and use that as an opportunity to hit Mega Sableye with Magma Storm. Entei can break past Mega Sableye's physical bulk with Sacred Fire and burn it. Talonflame isn't at all affected by the Special Attack decrease from Snarl, and specially defensive variants are becoming more common. However, both Mega Charizard X and Talonflame need to be wary of Foul Play while setting up Dragon Dance or Swords Dance.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Sableye is unable to outspeed Thundurus to Taunt it and prevent Thundurus from using Thunder Wave or Taunt itself. However, Sableye can reflect Thundurus's status moves if it Mega Evolves. Some Thundurus variants run Nasty Plot, which they can use to set up on Sableye and KO it with Thunderbolt. With Contrary, Serperior can out-boost Calm Mind Mega Sableye and get more damage off with Leaf Storm. Mega Sableye isn't able to deal much damage back if it hasn't already set up. Choice Specs Hydreigon can give Mega Sableye a lot of trouble if it has no Calm Mind boosts. Mega Gengar is able to take down Mega Sableye with Shadow Ball; however, it needs to be wary of Snarl.

**-Ate Ability Users**: Pokemon such as Mega Salamence, Mega Altaria, and the uncommon Mega Pinsir can take advantage of Mega Sableye's Will-O-Wisp with Facade. Additionally, all three Pokemon can set up on Mega Sableye with Dragon Dance and Swords Dance and proceed to KO it with Pixilate or Aerilate Facade. Choice Specs Sylveon can OHKO even +1 Mega Sableye with Pixilate Hyper Voice, as can Mega Gardevoir with a little prior damage.

**Raikou and Suicune**: Raikou and Suicune can set up Calm Mind and beat Mega Sableye. Raikou can set up behind a Substitute and hit Sableye with its STAB Electric-type move; however, it cannot afford to be burned by Will-O-Wisp, and Snarl can deal damage through Substitute. Suicune can repeatedly use Scald in order to attempt to burn Mega Sableye. With Mega Sableye receiving residual damage, it'll struggle to continue to Recover health, while Suicune can use those turns to set up Calm Mind or go for another Scald. Additionally, both Raikou and Suicune have Pressure, allowing them to stall out Mega Sableye.

Hi Lucy, I bring good news! I'm glad to see this analysis is still alive from your edit yesterday and you're probably one of the most active writers in BS right now. So I was looking PGL stats and noticed that Swagger wasn't even in the top moves used by Sableye (I forgot what the % was on Leftovers usage and PGL is currently under maintenance so I can't check). I personally think Sableye should just utilize on its Mega Evolution as the Swagger set is probably outclassed by Klefki due to better typing. Klefki has a lot more useful resistance to make use of Swagger such as Flying (Salamence), Ice (Greninja), Dark (?) and most importantly, Fairy (which Sableye is extremely weak to). Foul Play doesn't even proc from Prankster, so maybe that's why Thundurus and Klefki (both with access to T-Wave) can make full use of Foul Play better, as they have Swagger in their top moves used but Sableye doesn't.

I've spoke to NOVED the godsend over PS and he actually agrees with this:
[11:37:29] +NOVED: Hmm i'll have to look at the analysis rn to get a better idea but yeah i agree of its not in the top 12 its a bit questionable to keep in the moveset
[11:37:42] +NOVED: and klefki is definitely better as a swagger mon
(PART 2)
[11:40:08] +NOVED: Ok yeah looking at it i think it probably should just merge like you're saying
[11:40:29] +NOVED: especially since swagger isnt even top 12, probably just not that solid on sableye

As Theorymon stated in his analysis, "Klefki's most notorious luck abusing utility may in fact be its greatest flaw in the long run." So might as well fully utilize Sableye's mega evo ability Magic Bounce, which is a godsend itself as the increased bulk is huge. So I'm glad this is out of the way, I will thoroughly check your analysis after you've polished things up :D

(Tl;dr) Merge the bottom two sets (both Sablenite but one is Calm Mind the other can be Taunt/Foul Play/whatever) and you can mention Swagger + Leftovers set in the Other Options + fill in the blank sections of the analysis. -> Then move into QC stage.

I believe I am missing some things but I can't think of it.

I know there's a little bit of wording going on. I'll make sure to expand on the Team Options part.

Ready for QC.

[OVERVIEW]

+ Sableye also has access to Prankster (prior to Mega Evolution), which grants its non damaging moves priority. This would help Sableye move first and burn its foes easier with Will-O-Wisp and recover off any damage that was lost.
- With the Speed decrease after Mega Evolving, Mega Sableye will have a huge dilemma outspeeding any threat in the metagame.
Do note: Mega Evolution does increase its bulk by a significant amount (50 in each), although low HP is still a problem.
Worth a mention: Having access to STAB priority move Sucker Punch along with a passable Attack after Mega Evolution somewhat helps with its low Speed.

- Sableye faces tough competition from other Prankster users such as Thundurus, Whimsicott, and Liepard, as they're much more faster. Thundurus
Not sure with this part at the moment, both Sableye sets are Mega, you can possibly move this to Other Options where Swagger is.
- Still lacks offensive presence, increasing its reliance on setting up Calm Mind to deal more damage.
Foul Play somewhat helps with this point. I also tested a Power-Up Punch set against a friend and it really did suck.

With Calm Mind and Recover as part of its moveset, it can assist in stalling out opposing Calm Mind users such as Cresselia and Raikou.
Cresselia isn't a common Calm Mind user, consider removing it.

Set Details
========

After Mega Evolving Mega Sableye is able to utilize Prankster as well.
Possibly reword to: Prankster activates on the turn Sableye Mega evolves as well (because it sounds weird at the moment, like even after Mega evolving, Sableye still has Prankster).

Usage Tips
========

Chansey and Ferrothron can't do crap anything to it. dayum~
On some occasions, you really don't need to Mega Evolve. For example, in dealing with physical attackers such as Landorus-T and Garchomp, Sableye can use Prankster Will-O-Wisp to burn them, cutting their attack and deal residual damage each turn while Sableye stalls them out with Recover.
Mention: Retaining Prankster might be useful in those situations as you get to Will-O-Wisp another threat or just getting priority on that clutch Recover in case things go wary (such as a critical hit).
Overall when dealing with physical attackers, you really don't have to Mega Evolve Sableye early. It's decent enough to stall some out on its own.
Note: This is pretty much what you said above, "on some occasions, you really don't need to Mega Evolve", so remove this part or put something else (up to you).
Also mention somewhere: Sableye has a huge presence in Team Preview for the opponent. It will most likely lure out special attackers and might be able to keep physical threats such as Garchomp, Landorus-T and Mega Kangaskhan at bay. Play this to your team's advantage and when picking which 3 to send out to battle.
Worth adding: Mega Sableye is also the biggest counter to SwagPlay strategies, making your opponent think twice before sending out Klefki, etc.

Team Options
========

Additionally, Excadrill carries Rock Slide, demolishing Talonflame and Mega Charizard Y.
Applies to Choice Scarf variants only as both threats outspeed Excadrill.
Mega Sableye can also switch into resisted Poison-type moves for Clefable.
Add: While Sableye is able to burn some physical Steel-types that threaten Clefable such as Excadrill and Scizor. (I say "some" because Mega Mawile Play Rough 57.9 - 68.7% after burn = RIP Sableye)
Breloom can provide Spore support along with eliminating Fire-types with Rock Tomb such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Talonflame.
Should note: While Breloom is a shaky check to Fire-types but with Focus Sash + Rock Tomb and Unlimited Spore Works it might be able to pull it off, hehe.
Latias can provide Thunder Wave support and switch into predicted Ground-type moves. Additionally, Latias can use Healing Wish for Mega Sableye to switch-in and regain full health along with healing it of any status. (Oh wow, this is actually a top 10 in PGL.)
Add: Choice variants of Latias helps cripple Suicune, a common check who can use Sableye as setup fodder due to Pressure and superb bulk, while Latias also helps eliminate Fighting-types such as Blaziken and Mega Lopunny that threaten Mega Sableye.
Moar add: Bulky Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon and Mamoswine are all fine partners with Sableye. Not only are they great Stealth Rock users, but also being able to check dangerous Fire- and Steel-types such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, Mega Lucario and Mega Mawile. The former two also deals with Blaziken while Mamoswine is able to check Mega Altaria and Mega Salamence relatively well.

Moves
========

Sucker Punch actually only has 2% less usage than Taunt, might be worthy of a slash next to Taunt at least (I believe). Some advantages of Sucker Punch over Taunt is that Taunt only works effectively prior to Mega Evolution, and Mega Sableye certainly does not have the proper Speed to make full use of Taunt after evolving. STAB Priority coming off a passable 85 Attack after Mega Evolution is actually pretty decent against certain foes like Mega Gengar, as you're likely to get 2HKO by Shadow Ball anyway, Sucker Punch might be able to turn the tide. (Foul Play + Sucker Punch is a guaranteed KO, or simply weaken Gengar prior.) Do change Bold to Impish so it doesn't hinder Sucker Punch's damage.

Set Details
========

204 Defense with a Bold nature allows for Mega Sableye to be more bulky.
52 Special Defense gives Sableye some special bulk in taking special attacks in general.
Note: I actually don't know where these numbers are coming from, worth noting an example how 204 Defense helps with certain threats or why 52 in Special Defense. (Like, the more Special Defense, the better you deal against Mega Gengar, Aegislash, etc.)
Also: Don't forget to expand this section by mentioning nature and item, etc.

Usage Tips
========

You can also trick your opponent because many always try to use a Mega Sableye counter as their lead because they expect Mega Sableye to come out first.
Also mention: Most opponents expect the Calm Mind set so Taunt/Sucker Punch might be able to catch them off guard.
When Mega Sableye is low on health it's just best to keep it in the game due to its terrible Speed and that it won't really be outspeeding anything.
Note: This is why Sucker Punch helps a lot in these situations as you can get off some chip damage at least if you're gonna go down anyway.

Team Options
========

Rotom-W can be paired up with Heatran or Mega Sableye, as the three provide excellent synergy with each other. Rotom-W can switch-in on a resisted Water- and Electric-type attack for Heatran and Mega Sableye. Also, it's immune to Ground-type moves.
Add: Choice variants of Rotom-W help cripple some of Sableye's defensive checks that can like to use Sableye as complete setup fodder, such as Suicune, Clefable, Sylveon and Cresselia (not setup but hard to break down without Toxic/Calm Mind, especially true for this set).
Moar add: You can mention Mega Kangaskhan as well here as bulky Mega Evolutions are appreciated against matchups that may be unfavorable for Sableye. Mega Kangaskhan deals with Fairy-types relatively well. Return or Double-Edge is usually a OHKO, has no problem outspeeding Clefable/Sylveon/(Gardevoir before Mega Evolution). Has Ice Punch to deal with Garchomp (Lum Berry), Mega Salamence and Mega Altaria, which Sableye all struggle with due to possible Facade. [You can mention Mega Kangaskhan in the Calm Mind set also if you wish.]

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Sucker Punch helps pick off threats that are low in health, but Sableye's offensive presence isn't too desirable. (Don't need this here anymore)
Gonna leave some of these Other Options such as Metal Burst and Gravity for the second check as I don't have experience with these to comment on.

Swagger can be used to confuse foes (and complements well with Will-O-Wisp + Foul Play); however Sableye is outclassed by Thundurus and Klefki, as they're superior Swagger users (because of Thunder Wave and Klefki due to its much better typing).
Shadow Ball a nice STAB move that hits Ghost- and Psychic-types. But Snarl is much better in stalling out the foe and Mega Sableye won't be walled by Normal-types.
Better to say: Shadow Ball is outclassed by Snarl and Dark Pulse as they hit everything Shadow Ball does and doesn't leave you walled by Normal-types. (Something along these lines, or just remove it.)
Substitute allows Sableye to avoid any status moves. This can be used to stall with Will-O-Wisp (or Toxic), giving out residual damage to the opponent. With Prankster, Sableye will freely set up a Substitute if it's not fighting faster Prankster users such as Thundurus or Whimsicott.
Toxic is good for poisoning defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Porygon2. Will-O-Wisp is a much viable option due to crippling physical attackers despite the increase in damage Toxic possess each turn.
Mention Cresselia here as well, Toxic is particularly useful against everything you mentioned due to access to recovery moves, so burn won't be able to fully stall them out but nevertheless put a timer on these defensive threats.
Add: A specially defensive spread along with a Calm nature is viable when using the Calm Mind set (7% usage). This can catch people off guard as Mega Sableye is more than likely lure in Special attackers which Sableye can deal with better such as Mega Gengar, Aegislash and Greninja. Prankster Will-O-Wisp still helps against physical attackers so you don't have to worry too much about Defense.

Night Shade gives out consistent damage, especially to Ghost-types such as Gengar. However, Sableye is better off setting up with Calm Mind or utilizing Foul Play.
You can remove this as Snarl or Foul Play is better in every way.
Mega Sableye Night Shade vs. 0 HP Mega Gengar: 50-50 (37 - 37%)
0- SpA Mega Sableye Snarl vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gengar: 50-62 (37 - 45.9%)

**Fire-types**: Talonflame deserves a mention and specially defensive variants are becoming more common (24%). Both Mega Charizard X and Talonflame have to be wary if Foul Play though when setting up DD and SD.

**Raikou and Suicune**: Do mention: Raikou cannot afford to take a burn while Sableye still has Prankster (this happened when Pika's Mega Sableye beat my CM Raikou ;_;), however, Snarl does well against Sub Raikou anyway since it goes through subs. Also mention these mons have Pressure which helps in outstalling Mega Sableye out of PP.

This is all the suggestions I can give at the moment and the second check will be done by much more experienced players such as Theorymon/NOVED/cant say so rest assured Lucy!
I can still look over it when you've written it up to see if you missed something or anything else which can be added, otherwise this is a very nicely done and extremely detailed as always. +1

Alright, first QC check so why not get started with one that's been waiting almost a month? A lot of the big stuff has already been covered between you and bobochan so I don't have too much too add. There's some grammar stuff going on that needs fixing but I'm not here to GP stuff so I'll leave that to the experts for the most part.

For the CM set: In Usage Tips I don't think the mention of OP Mega Evolutions and use of item clause is necessary since that's hopefully already evident for the reader. You already touch on strong special attackers but I'd definitely note that huge special attackers like Specs Hydreigon and offensive Serperior are things Mega Sableye should not try to stay in against unless you've somehow managed to set up a good amount before they've come in. Also mention that since Mega Sableye will almost always act second, it's very important to keep track of Mega Sableye's HP and how much damage the opponent does so you can judge when you should be Recovering or trying to set up.

For Team Options mention that Heatran and Talonflame beat Serperior because that thing smashes Sableye thanks to getting further boosts from Snarl. Volt Switch/U-turn support in general from stuff like Rotom-W and Landorus-T is neat for getting Sableye in safely since it's not super bulky before Mega Evolving.

For the Utility set: In Moves I'd probably make a mention of stall Pokemon and setup sweepers becoming tougher to check if you use Sucker Punch over Taunt. Also continuing in Set Details I'd mention what exactly the SpD helps it survive, Shadow Ball from Aegislash and Mega Gengar still 2HKO 50% of the time. Otherwise I think just 252 Def is fine there if there's nothing specific that helps it survive. For Team Options I'd reword the sentence about Rotom-W since that makes it sound like the focus is Rotom-W instead of Sableye. I'd also specify why the Ground-types are useful for Electric types relative to Mega Sableye, namely because they don't mind Foul Play much and hit its weaker Special Defense.

In Other Options, the point about Swagger has a typo about it being better than Confuse Ray because it confuses, instead of mentioning the Attack boost. For Checks and Counters add Mega Gardevoir to Fairy-types. I almost wonder if Thundurus could be changed to Special Wallbreakers since huge special attackers like Hydreigon, Gengar and Aegislash can also give Sableye a rough time if they come in before it starts setting up, especially on the non-CM sets. That's up to you though I think it's worth mentioning those three somewhere. I think Serperior still warrants its own separate section though for not caring about anything bar the Wisp burn damage.

That's about all I have to say, once you decide on what to do with the spread for the Utility Set and whether or not to include a Special Attacker section for Checks and Counters I'd say it's about time this gets turned over to GP. No fancy stamp but you can pretend it's there, ~QC 2/2~

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Sableye's jumps into Battle Spot Singles with excellent bulk and a great access to support moves and reliable recovery allow it allows for Mega Sableye to be an effective stop to many physical attackers and defensive Pokemon such as Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp, Chansey, and Cresselia. Its Dark / Ghost typing gives it Mega Sableye immunity to Fighting, Normal, and Psychic, a resistance to Poison-types, (AC) and only one weakness to such as Fairy-types. Mega Sableye has access to Magic Bounce, which allows Mega Sableye to effectively bounce back any kind of status moves, (AC) making it a great status absorber. Because of the ability, Mega Sableye can and letting it act as a setup Pokemon that doesn't have to worry without worrying about Taunt, Leech Seed, and any status-inducing moves such as Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, and Thunder Wave. However, it doesn't stop secondary effects from attacks such as Scald and Sludge Bomb. (doesn't seem relevant) Mega Sableye is also the biggest counter to SwagPlay strategies, making your opponent think twice before sending out Klefki, Liepard, and Thundurus. Sableye also has access to Prankster prior to Mega Evolution, which grants its non-damaging moves priority. This would help Sableye move first and, notably letting it burn its foes easier with Will-O-Wisp and recover off any damage with priority that was lost. Sableye uses both With the amount number of physical attackers dominating the metagame and entry hazards being less common in Battle Spot Singles, Sableye can use both of these to its advantage by in not having to Mega Evolve the first turn, letting it as it can punish Pokemon such as Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp, and Landorus-T with Prankster Will-O-Wisp and Mega Evolve when it needs to.

Battle Spot Singles is a very fast-paced metagame, which means Sableye can't utilize its stalling capability to its full potential. Even with Mega Sableye's the extra bulk added onto Mega Sableye, its low HP is considered a problem. With the Speed decrease after Mega Evolving, Mega Sableye will have a huge dilemma difficulty outspeeding any threat in the metagame. However, having priority STAB Sucker Punch along with its passive passable Attack after Mega Evolution, (RC) assists with its terrible Speed. Sableye still lacks offensive presence, though, increasing its reliance on setting up Calm Mind to deal more damage. However, Foul Play helps with that against the monstrous physical attackers of Battle Spot. Sableye becomes is very vulnerable to wallbreakers and setup sweepers such as Mega Charizard X and Thundurus. (this ends rather abruptly, is there some way to make it end more naturally? no generic summary sentence though)

Moves

Will-O-Wisp gives Mega Sableye and its teammates excellent support in crippling physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Salamence, and Garchomp, which helps it set up Calm Mind on them. This also helps get residual damage on Pokemon that lack recovery such as Ferrothorn. Will-O-Wisp is necessary because it gives Mega Sableye the likelihood setting up Calm Minds on physical attacker due to burns cutting their Attack in half. Recover gives Mega Sableye a reliable recovery move, increasing its longitivtiy longevity so that it can gain more Calm Mind boosts and/or wear down the opposing team target with Will-O-Wisp. Calm Mind is a requisite, as the move boosts Mega Sableye's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, making it a bulky sweeper. It also helps with surviving Special Attacks more appropriately and helping it survive special attacks. Snarl reduces the opposing Pokemon's Special Attack by one stage. With Calm Mind and Recover as part of its moveset, it can assist in stalling out opposing Calm Mind users such as Raikou.

Set Details
========

Prankster should always be used, as it gives Sableye priority in on Will-O-Wisp, Recover, and Calm Mind. Prankster is active activates on the turn Sableye Mega Evolves as well. Sablenite is used to increase Sableye's bulk, allowing it to check many physical attackers and defensive Pokemon. Gaining Magic Bounce helps in Mega Sableye be a great status absorber, bouncing back any status move to the foe. Maximum HP and Defense EVs with a Bold nature optimizes Sableye's bulk because the majority of attackers in Battle Spot Singles are physical, (AC) such as Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Mawile, Garchomp, Mamoswine, and Landorus-T.

Usage Tips
========

Make sure to Mega Evolve Sableye and set up Calm Mind on defensive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Chansey, and Porygon2. That's because they're, which are likely to status it. Chansey and Ferrothorn can't do anything to Mega Sableye it. If the opponent has a Heatran and leads with you see Heatran in team preview and it's not leading but a physical attacker like Garchomp is, they will usually the opponent will expect a Will-O-Wisp and switch out from Pokemon such as Garchomp to get the Flash Fire boost. On some occasions, you really don't need to Mega Evolve, as it Sableye can stall out some physical attackers on its own. For example, in dealing with physical attackers such as against Landorus-T and Garchomp, Sableye can use Prankster Will-O-Wisp to burn them, cutting their Attack and dealing residual damage each turn while Sableye stalls them out with Recover. Pretty much you keep away from Fairy-types and make sure you have a partner for them. Mega Sableye is very vulnerable against Fairy-types, so keep it away from them and make sure you have a partner for them.

Hazards aren't all that common in Battle Spot Singles due to it being fast paced, so you can just focus more on Sableye stalling out the foes. Dealing with special attackers can be tricky because Sableye's Special Defense isn't all that great. The best it can do is Calm Mind the first turn and then Mega Evolve to go for Recover. Mega Sableye has a huge presence in Team Preview for the opponent. Many physical attackers don't enjoy getting burned from by Will-O-Wisp, so the opponent this will most likely bring their lure out special attackers and might be able to keep leave their physical threats such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Mega Kangaskhan behind at bay. Play this to your team's advantage and when picking which 3 three to send out to battle. Mega Sableye should definitely not stay in on dangerous special attackers such as Choice Specs Hydreigon and Serperior unless it Mega Sableye has set up enough Calm Minds. Because Mega Sableye is slow outsped and always goes second, it is very important to keep track of its Mega Sableye's HP and how much damage the foes do so you can judge when to use Recover or try and when to set up Calm Mind.

Team Options
========

Heatran 4x quad resists Fairy-type attacks, while as Mega Sableye can safely switch into Fighting-type attacks due to being immune. Excadrill can also remove Fairy-types off from the field with STAB Iron Head and deal a huge dent to Electric- and Fire-types such as Raikou and Heatran with Earthquake such as Raikou and Heatran. Additionally, Choice Scarf variants of Excadrill carries carry Rock Slide, demolishing Talonflame and Mega Charizard Y. Scizor can use Fairy-types to set up with Swords Dance and eliminate them with Bullet Punch. Clefable makes a great partner for Mega Sableye because many sweepers like to set up on it. Switching Unaware Clefable into the foe can prevent them from using Mega Sableye as a setup fodder. Mega Sableye can also switch into resisted Poison-type moves for Clefable and Mega Sableye is able to burn some physical Steel-types that threaten Clefable such as Excadrill and Scizor. Thundurus can help paralyze the foe with Thunder Wave or shut down defensive Pokemon with Taunt. That would allow, allowing Mega Sableye to get free turns to set up Calm Mind.

Gengar can be a nice partner due to, (AC) removing Fairy-types with its Poison-type STAB move along with and switching into a Ground-type moves due to Levitate making it immune to it. Together, Chansey and Mega Sableye can make a fine defensive core. With Mega Sableye burning the foe with Will-O-Wisp, (AC) both Pokemon can tank more hits from physical attackers. Also with Chansey's amazing special bulk, (RC) lets it switch into several special attacks for Mega Sableye. Chansey, while it appreciates the removal of Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar and Aegislash. Breloom can provide Spore support along with eliminating Fire-types with Rock Tomb such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Talonflame with Rock Tomb. Also, it can help with clearing the field of Water-types such as Suicune and Rotom-W. While Breloom is a shaky check to Fire-types, but with Focus Sash + Rock Tomb and Spore, it has a chance to stop them in their tracks.(space)Latias can provide Thunder Wave support and switch into predicted Ground-type moves. Additionally, Latias can, as well as use Healing Wish to bring for Mega Sableye to switch-in with and regain full health along with healing it of any status. Choice variants of Latias helps cripple Suicune, a common check that who can use Sableye as setup fodder due to Pressure and superb bulk, while Latias and it also helps eliminate Fighting-types such as Blaziken and Mega Lopunny that threaten Mega Sableye.

Bulky Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, (AC) and Mamoswine are all fine partners with Sableye. Not only are they great Stealth Rock users, but they also are being able to check dangerous Fire- and Steel-types such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, Mega Lucario, (AC) and Mega Mawile. The former two also deals with Blaziken, (AC) while Mamoswine is able to check Mega Altaria and Mega Salamence relatively well. Mega Kangaskhan is a great partner for Sableye, as it can eliminate Pokemon that Sableye hates such as Mega Salamence, Clefable, and Heatran. Volt Switch/U-turn VoltTurn support in general from partners such as Rotom-W and Landorus-T are is neat for getting Sableye in safely because it's not super very bulky prior to Mega Evolving.

Moves

Will-O-Wisp is definitely required on Mega Sableye to cripple physical attackers. Recover replenishes Mega Sableye's health and is used pairs nicely with Will-O-Wisp in racking to rack up damage every turn while stalling. Foul Play works on dealing with punishing punishes setup sweepers such as Mega Salamance, Mega Kangaskhan, Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, and Aegislash. Taunt helps with stallbreaking Pokemon such as Chansey along with preventing any Pokemon from setting up on it prior to Mega Evolution. Sucker Punch is a great STAB move for Mega Sableye to possess, as it can deal massive damage against frail Pokemon such as Mega Gengar. When using Sucker Punch over Taunt, Mega Sableye will need to be wary of stall Pokemon and setup sweepers such as Suicune.

Set Details
========

252 HP EVs optimizes on Mega Sableye's overall bulk., and 204 Defense EVs with an Impish nature increase its physical bulk allows for Mega Sableye to be more bulky and Sucker Punch won't be dealing less damage coupled with the fact that it's not running any Special Attacks either. 52 Special Defense EVs gives help Sableye some special bulk in taking take special attacks from the likes of Mega Gengar and Aegislash. Additionally, it lowers the percentage of Mega Sableye to be OHKOed by and gives it a chance to survive Choice Specs Hydreigon's Draco Meteor. (is that right?) Prankster is the chosen ability in order for Sableye to get priority in its gives Sableye's non-attacking moves priority before and while prior or as soon as it Mega Evolves. Sablenite is used to increase Sableye's bulk. With this in mind, the physical bulk and Will-O-Wisp will allow Mega Sableye to wall several physical attackers such as Mega Kangaskhan, Landorus-T, (AC) and Garchomp.

Usage Tips
========

With the stallbreaker set you can most certainly Stallbreaker Sableye can easily disable defensive Pokemon with Taunt such as Cresselia, Chansey, and Ferrothorn with Taunt. You can use the free turn By making use of Taunt, you could use that as an opportunity to switch in a setup out and go into a more set up sweeper while they can't recover any health for the next turn. You can burn any physical attackers you see, you can burn them with Will-O-Wisp. T; the only thing to worry about is using it when you see a Fire-type in a Team Preview because that'll just give them a safe switch in. After burning them, With Will-O-Wisp you can continue stalling out the physical attackers with Recover + Foul Play. It kind of This makes Mega Sableye as a pretty good lead. You can also trick your opponent because many always lead with try to use a Mega Sableye counter, expecting as their lead because they expect Mega Sableye to come out first. Mega Sableye is only best to come switched in from a fallen teammate because it doesn't you surely don't want to take any hits on the switch prior to Mega Evolving switching into a threat. When Mega Sableye is low on health, (AC) it's just best to just keep it in the game as death fodder due to its terrible Speed and that it won't really be outspeeding anything. Most opponents expect the Calm Mind set, (AC) so Taunt / Sucker Punch might be able to catch them off guard.

Team Options
========

Heatran, Excadrill, Scizor, and Aegislash gets rid of Fairy-types for Sableye. Rotom-W can be paired up with Heatran or and Mega Sableye, as the three provide excellent synergy with each other. Rotom-W can switch in on a resisted Water- and Electric-type attacks for Heatran and Mega Sableye. Also, it's and is immune to Ground-type moves. Landorus-T can get eliminate Fire-, Rock-, and Steel-types such as Talonflame, Tyranitar, and opposing Excadrill. (bobochan and anirav approved) Sylveon helps eliminate Dark- and Dragon-types such as Hydreigon, Mega Altaria, Mega Salamence, and Garchomp with Pixilate Hyper Voice. Ditto can be used as is a great revenge killer against offensive Pokemon such as Mega Gengar and Mega Charizard X. Mamoswine and Excadrill are immune to Electric-type attacks and can check Fire-types such as Talonflame, (RC) and Mega Charizard X and Y. Greninja provides excellent coverage, (AC) in getting rid of various Pokemon that threaten Mega Sableye such as Sylveon, Clefable, Thundurus, Mega Salamence, and Mega Altaria. Togekiss can be a nice teammate for clearing the field of Dark-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and Grass-types such as Hydreigon, Garchomp, Blaziken, and Serperior. Sableye appreciates Mega Kangaskhan on its team, as it is useful in some matchups will be that are unfavorable for Sableye. This can catch players off guard, (AC) as the presence of Mega Sableye in Team Preview can make the opponent bring their lure in special attackers such as Mega Gengar, Aegislash, and Greninja. (hopefully I read that correctly) Return or Double-Edge from Mega Kangaskhan can KO many threats, (AC) and it outspeeds Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Clefable. Mega Kangashkan also has access to Ice Punch to in dealing with Dragon-types such as Mega Salamence, Mega Altaria, and Garchomp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Dark Pulse can be used for perfect accuracy with Calm Mind., but Snarl is much better to help due to Sableye stalling out special attackers. Metal Burst can be used as a surprise attack to many setup sweepers and powerful attackers., but Sableye doesn't have the bulk to take so too much damage prior to Mega Evolving. Mega Sableye would be able to take certain attacks such as burned Bisharp's Iron Head at +2 while being burned. T; the problem with that is its slow Speed keeps it from outspeeding many threats to use Recover, which makes Mega Sableye an open target for another attack. Gravity can be used to give boost Will-O-Wisp's and Snarl's accuracy to 100 percent along with giving your teammates such as Garchomp and Landorus-T the ability to hit Flying-types with Earthquake such as Zapdos and Talonflame. with Earthquake. However, Gravity gives your team a pretty slow momentum and only lasts for five turns. Additionally, this requires, as well as requiring a turn to set up, which is pretty critical in the metagame. Confuse Ray a less risky move than Swagger; however, Swagger is much better in Swagger can be used to confuse foes; however Sableye is outclassed by Thundurus and Klefki, as they're superior Swagger users, they have access to Thunder Wave, and coupled with excellent typing. (discussed with bobochan)

Leftovers is used useful together with Recover to gain back any health that Sableye lost. Shadow Ball a nice STAB move that hits Ghost- and Psychic-types. H; however, Dark Pulse and Snarl hits hit everything that Shadow Ball does and don't leave Mega Sableye won't be walled by Normal-types. Substitute allows Sableye to avoid any status moves. This and can be used to stall with Will-O-Wisp or Toxic, giving out residual damage to the opponent. With Prankster, Sableye will freely set up a Substitute if it's not fighting faster Prankster users such as Thundurus or and Whimsicott. Knock Off can be used to hit item-reliant Pokemon such as Garchomp, Chansey, Landorus-T, and Porygon2. Power Gem allows Mega Sableye to hit Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Charizard, Talonflame, and Weavile. However, Mega Sableye relies more on its STAB moves. Toxic is good for putting on a timer in poisoning defensive Pokemon such as Cresselia, Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Porygon2 on a timer, but Will-O-Wisp is a much more viable option due to it crippling physical attackers, (AC) despite the increase in damage Toxic does possess each turn.(space)A specially defensive spread along with a Calm nature is viable when using the Calm Mind set. This can catch people off guard, as; (ASC) Mega Sableye is more than will likely lure in special attackers which Mega Sableye can deal with better such as Mega Gengar, Aegislash, and Greninja and deal with them better. Prankster Will-O-Wisp still helps against physical attackers, (AC) so you don't have to worry too much about the loss of Defense.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Dealing with Fairy-types can be a massive dilemma for Sableye. Sableye is unable to tank hits from Fairy-types and oftentimes can't cripple them with Will-O-Wisp, as the majority of them are special attackers. Clefable has Unaware, which can discourage prevent Mega Sableye from setting up Calm Mind, (AC) and can proceed to KO it with Moonblast. Even though Mega Mawile gets burned from by Prankster Will-O-Wisp, it can proceed to use Sableye as setup fodder by using Swords Dance, as despite being burned, Mega Sableye will still need to deal with and threaten it thanks to its ability Huge Power. Azumarill can use Belly Drum even if Mega Sableye has burned it and KO it with STAB Play Rough.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types have an immunity to Will-O-Wisp, as this which makes Mega Sableye vulnerable to several threats. Blaziken, Mega Charizard X, (AC) and Volcarona can all use Mega Sableye as a setup fodder. Mega Charizard Y can deal a lot of damage on to Mega Sableye under the sun with its STAB Fire-type moves, acting as a great wallbreaker. Heatran can switch in and get a Flash Fire boost from Will-O-Wisp and use that as an opportunity to hit Mega Sableye with Magma Storm. Entei can break pass past Mega Sableye's physical bulk with Sacred Fire and burn it. Talonflame isn't at all affected by the Special Attack decrease from Snarl, and as special defensive variants are becoming more common. However, both Mega Charizard X and Talonflame need to be wary of Foul Play while setting up Dragon Dance or Swords Dance.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Sableye is unable to outspeed the mighty (sry) Thundurus to Taunt it and prevent Thundurus from using Thunder Wave or the opposing Taunt unless it Mega Evolves. Some Thundurus variants run Nasty Plot, which it they can use to set up on Sableye and KO it with Thunderbolt. With Contrary, Serperior can out-boost Calm Mind Mega Sableye and continue to get more damage off of it with Leaf Storm. Mega Sableye isn't able to deal much damage back to it if it hasn't already set up. Choice Specs Hydreigon can give Mega Sableye a lot of trouble if it has no Calm Mind boosts before it starts to set up Calm Mind, especially non-Calm Mind variants. Mega Gengar is able to take down Mega Sableye with its STAB moves such as Shadow Ball; however, it needs to be wary of Snarl.

**-Ate Ability Users**: With status being around Pokemon such as Mega Salamence and Mega Altaria can take advantage of Mega Sableye's Will-O-Wisp with Facade. Additionally, all three Pokemon (you only listed two) can set up on Mega Sableye with Dragon Dance and Swords Dance and proceed to KO it with Pixilate or Aerilate Facade. Pixilated-Choice Specs Hyper Voice Sylveon can OHKO even +1 Mega Sableye with Pixilate Hyper Voice even at +1 Calm Mind. Pixilate Hyper Voice Mega Gardevoir can KO Mega Sableye with Pixilate Hyper Voice as well.

**Raikou and Suicune**: Raikou and Suicune can set up Calm Mind and beat Mega Sableye, as they both can set up with Calm Mind. Raikou can also set up behind a with Substitute and continue to set up, hitting it and hit Sableye with its STAB Electric-type move. H; however, it Raikou cannot afford to be burned by Will-O-Wisp, (AC) and Snarl can deal damage through Substitute. Suicune can repeatedly use Scald in order to get a burn on Mega Sableye. With Mega Sableye receiving residual damage, it'll struggle to continue to Recover health, while Suicune uses those turns to set up Calm Mind or go for another Scald. Additionally, both Raikou and Suicune have Pressure, being able to stall out Mega Sableye.

Make sure to Mega Evolve Sableye and set up Calm Mind on defensive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Chansey, and Porygon2, which are likely to status it. Chansey and Ferrothorn can't do anything to Mega Sableye. If the opponent has a Heatran and leads with a physical attacker like Garchomp, they will usually expect a Will-O-Wisp and switch out to get the Flash Fire boost. On some occasions, you really don't need to Mega Evolve Sableye, as Sableye it can stall out some physical attackers on its own. For example, against Landorus-T and Garchomp, Sableye can use Prankster Will-O-Wisp to burn them, cutting their Attack and dealing residual damage each turn while Sableye stalls them out with Recover. Mega Sableye is very vulnerable against to Fairy-types, so keep it away from them and make sure you have a partner for them.

Play this to your team's advantage when picking which three to send out to battle. Mega Sableye should definitely not stay in on dangerous special attackers such as Choice Specs Hydreigon and Serperior unless it has set up enough Calm Minds. Because Mega Sableye is slow and almost (nitpicky, but still) always goes second, it is very important to keep track of its HP and how much damage the foes do so you can judge when to use Recover and when to set up Calm Mind.

Team Options

Also, it can help with clearing (subjective) the field of Water-types such as Suicune and Rotom-W.

Moves

(Perhaps mention how priority helps it?) When using Sucker Punch over Taunt, Mega Sableye will need to be wary of stall Pokemon and setup sweepers such as Suicune. (Which category is Suicune part of? Or is it in both...?)

Set Details
========

252 HP EVs optimize Mega Sableye's overall bulk, and 204 Defense EVs with an Impish nature increase its physical bulk. 52 Special Defense EVs help Sableye take special attacks from the likes of Mega Gengar and Aegislash and gives it a chance to survive Serperior's Leaf Storm at +4 Special Attack.

Usage Tips
========

Most opponents don't expect the Calm Mind this (don't directly cross-reference) set, so Taunt / Sucker Punch might be able to catch them off guard.

Team Options
========

Other Options
=============

Mega Sableye would be able to take certain attacks such as burned Bisharp's Iron Head at +2; the problem with that is that its low Speed keeps it from outspeeding many threats to use Recover, which makes Mega Sableye an open target for another attack. Gravity can be used to boost Will-O-Wisp's and Snarl's accuracy to 100 percent along with giving teammates such as Garchomp and Landorus-T the ability to hit Flying-types such as Zapdos and Talonflame with Earthquake. However, Gravity gives your team pretty slow momentum, (AC) and only lasts for five turns, as well as requiring and requires a turn to set up, which is pretty critical in the metagame.

Substitute allows Sableye to avoid any status moves. (remove period) and can be used to stall with Will-O-Wisp or Toxic. With Prankster, Sableye will freely set up a Substitute if it's not fighting faster Prankster users such as Thundurus and Whimsicott. Knock Off can be used to hit item-reliant Pokemon such as Garchomp, Chansey, Landorus-T, and Porygon2. Power Gem allows Mega Sableye to hit Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types such as Charizard, (which one?) Talonflame, and Weavile.

===================

**Special Wallbreakers**: Sableye is unable to outspeed Thundurus to Taunt it and prevent Thundurus from using Thunder Wave or the opposing Taunt itself. However, Sableye can reflect Thundurus's status moves if unless it Mega Evolves. (I think this is what you were saying here?) Some Thundurus variants run Nasty Plot, which they can use to set up on Sableye and KO it with Thunderbolt.

**-Ate Ability Users**: Pokemon such as Mega Salamence, (AC) Mega Altaria, (AC) and the uncommon Mega Pinsir can take advantage of Mega Sableye's Will-O-Wisp with Facade. Additionally, all three Pokemon can set up on Mega Sableye with Dragon Dance and Swords Dance and proceed to KO it with Pixilate or Aerilate Facade. Choice Specs Sylveon can OHKO even +1 Mega Sableye with Pixilate Hyper Voice, as can Mega Gardevoir can KO Mega Sableye with Pixilate Hyper Voice as well with a little prior damage. (Did the calc myself and that's what it came out to be. Removed extraneous stuff as well.)

Suicune can repeatedly use Scald in order to attempt to get a burn on (it's not always gonna happen) Mega Sableye. With Mega Sableye receiving residual damage, it'll struggle to continue to Recover health, while Suicune can uses those turns to set up Calm Mind or go for another Scald. Additionally, both Raikou and Suicune have Pressure, being able allowing them to stall out Mega Sableye.
