XY OU Sand Team based round mega chomp

Firstly, this team is made to get a mega garchomp sweep.
In Addition to that I decided to make a sand team.

Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Yawn
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock

Hippowdon is a physical wall which can be used to wall things like bisharp.
Yawn to force my opponent to switch giving me a free turn to set up rocks,
Earthquake to get rid of some counters to it and slack off to sustain this physical tank as well as to set up the sand.

Tyranitar @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Ice Punch

Tyranitar is my late game sweeper which is offend seen in the OU meta game.
Basically predict your opponents switch and go for a DDance and sweep your opponent.
Also used to set up sandstorm

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Cosmic Power
- Stored Power
- Wish
- Moonblast

Clefable is a special wall, with the ability unaware my opponent can set up for absolutely nothing.
Also, clefable can set up on your opponent to a point where a resisted hit can do as low as 4%.
Overall with my sand team weak to fighting types, clefable can easily wall them.

Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite
Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Naughty Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Swords Dance

Firstly garchomp is my personal favorite pokemon, when mega garchomp was made I wanted to try it out. However, with its 4times weakness to ice, the lowered speed during mega evolving and the -2 by burn, it was easily crippled. But running one special move such as fire blast can easily OHKO some ice types.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Almost all teams run a spinner or a defogger and excadrill is a perfect spinner for this team. Sand rush to take advantage of the sand to out speed most things and decent attack stat of 405, drill can even be used as a sweeper.

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Superpower
- Thunder Punch
- Thunder Wave
- Bulk Up

This team has a huge weakness to ground too, so it is important to run a flying type or a air ballon poke. Thunderus offend used as a special attacker can is a way I can trick my opponent into switching into a special wall.

This is my first thread so would appreciate good feedback anyways hope you all enjoyed!

Hi there, cool heavy sand team :] I have a few suggestions.

First of, cosmic power clefable is pretty outclassed by the cm cm, as the cm set can often pull off a sweep on unprepared or weakened teams. Also I would change to magic guard to take advantage of the sand, plus it'll also act like a status absorber, taking burns which really hurts your team ^^

Clefable
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 def/ 4 spe
Bold Nature
- Calm mind
- Flamethrower
- Softboiled
- Moonblast

Moving on I would suggest running a defiant set on Thundurus, as that will make defog a nice setup for it, + excadrill in the sand can already take care of most setup sweepers, so thunder wave is not that necessary.

Thundurus
Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Superpower
- Thunder Punch
- Knock off
- bulk up

Other than that, running 4 hp is (almost) never beneficial, I would suggest investing them in defense or Spdef. Hope it helped ^^
