Sands of Awesomesauce

Ok so this team sorta turned weird from what I started with. It began with me wanting to use a good Latias and build a team around her, but it then turned into this sand focused team. I've gone through a few battles, and so far have 15 wins, 4 losses. So far I'm happy with the team, but those 4 losses were devastating as I was usually just completely swept by 1 or 2 pokes, so I want to see if you all have anything to suggest

Latias w/Leftovers

Levitate
-Dragon Pulse
-Calm Mind
-Recover
-Substitute

I like latias both for her ability to safely switch in to MANY potential threats and set up calm minds, and it's incredibly high speed. Dragon Pulse has good coverage, and Recover helps me gain some health back during a risky switch in. I like to use substitute when a Will o Wisp or Toxic is pretty obvious, and take the opportunity to set up some calm minds and really deal some damage.

-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Fire Blast

T-tar's main goal is just to set up rocks to break multi-scale and focus sash, and set up sand to counter other weather teams. It's natural bulk and large SpD gives it many opportunities to switch in safely. Crunch is its primary move, and pursuit is used to rack damage on switch outs such as Gengar or Espeon. I really didn't want to use Fire Blast, but my friend said it was really great when dealing with steel types like who would try and take the opportunity to set up hazards like Ferrathorn or Forretress, but I'm starting to think Superpower would be the better option.

Infernape w/Life Orb
Jolly 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpD
Iron Fist
-Close Combat
-Flare Blitz
-U turn
-Thunderpunch

Infernape works as my Physical Sweeper, with it's good movepool and high speed, it can harm just about anything that comes after it. Close Combat and Flare Blitz are basic stab, but I try to avoid Flare Blitz as it can really drop my health with life orb being added onto that. I use U turn mostly as a counter to Psychics that switch in to harm Infernape like Espeon or Alakazam. Thunderpunch has proven to be an invaluable counter to water switch ins such as Jellicient and Starmie, and has completely turned the tables in past matches. My one though it maybe making this a choice band set, but I think I prefer having the ability of changing moves immediatly

Landorus w/Choice Scarf
Naive 252 Atk/4 SpA/252 Spe
Sand Force
-U turn
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-HP Ice

Choice Scarfed Landorus serves as both a great scout/leader, and Clean up sweeper when I've dwindled down the more serious threats. Earthquake and Stone Edge will both get a nice boost in the sand, and U turn can be a good scouting tool. I like to use HP Ice as a counter to dragons, and other Landorus.

Magnet Pull
-Substitute
-Charge Beam
-T-Bolt
-HP Fire

Steel types like Scizor, Skarmory, and Forretress are a major threat to this team thus far, and so I like to use Magnezone to help eliminate them as soon as they come in. It becomes the perfect switch in for choice scizors who just locked themselves into bullet punch, but I have to be sure it won't use Superpower. Substitute lets it comfortably spam charge beam to boost SpA. T-Bolt is its stab, and HP Fire makes short work of pesky steel types.

Alakazam w/Focus Sash
Timid 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP
Magic Guard
-Psyshock
-Energy Ball
-Focus Blast
-HP Ice

Alakazam finishes up this team as the special sweeper that can hurt just about anything I couldn't hurt before. With Magic guard I don't need to worry about damage from the sand or hazards, and the sash guarantees me at least one hit (assuming of course I make contact). Psyshock is his main stab, and provides a way to hurt troublesome Blisseys/Chanseys that may switch in. Energy ball can hurt a variety of pokes, but I had gastrodon in mind with that one. Focus blast is always great, especially when they think they've trapped me with T-tar ^^, and HP Ice has great coverage, but also serves as a counter to pesky dragons.

So that's the whole team. Any advice is welcomed

Hey Mate! Sadly I am not able to rate your team yet, but I will suggest by putting an image code around your links, you can simply display the picture.

For example, your Tyranitar

All you need are what i have in bold

http://www.gophoto.it/view.php?i=http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6a8ppGU4L1rnkfgmo1_500.jpg#.UMQ8coNX1lw

Take that and wrap it with

so it shound look like this

In the end it should look like this

Cool team. I love that I'm seeing more Sand abuse these days! :D

The change that I was thinking of was TechLoom>Infernape. Seeing as you can't very well use Infernape's FlareBlitz much, it'd be a better set up sweeper for your team. It also helped counter opposing Tyranitar that may have trapped Latias. It could also Spore-trap T-tar, Forretress, Ferrothorn and other threats. But, then again, Infernape could always opt for FirePunch>FlareBlitz? IronFist does give a nice power boost+STAB+LO.

•Infernape moveset change:
Infernape@LifeOrb
Trait: IronFist
Jolly nature
252 Attk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
CloseCombat, FirePunch, ThunderPunch & U-turn

•Possible Breloom change:
Breloom@LifeOrb
Trait: Technician
Adamant nature
252 Attk/ 236 Speed/20 Hp
MachPunch, BulletSeed, SwordsDance & Spore

I hope this helps and good luck w/ the team! :)

Hey there Sumvin,

I found a bad weakness to rain team, you haven't any water resistor and Tornadus-T can 6-0'd you easily so I'd use special defensive Rotom-W in place of your Infernape that I believe is your most useless pokèmon here.

Rotom-W set:

(Rotom-W) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 56 SAtk / 200 SDef / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Hope I helped, good luck!

Hey!

Solid team dude. In the future if you want to use pictures, just click the little icon that looks like some mountains (it's yellow), and paste your link there! Anyway, I don't think you'll need many changes, but Infernape looks totally out of place. Infernape is pretty bad this generation, and practically every niche it fills in OU is better filled by another Pokemon.

The biggest thing that pops out to me is that you can't really switch into Rain teams. Latias is your only Water resist, and if Specs Politoed caught you with Ice beam, you're going to be in for a long day. For this reason, I'm going to suggest you try Gastrodon. It's a superb Rain counter as well as Rotom-w (which seems to be everywhere nowadays). Rain's usual answer to Gastrodon is Ferrothorn, which you can take advantage of with Magnezone. It's suprising how many Rain teams can't touch Gastrodon if Ferrothorn is taken out of the equation. Gastrodon will be your main answer to a ton of Special Pokemon and Rain Teams when appropriate. I'd recommend you use Ice Beam / Scald / Recover / Earth Power. Ice Beam is awesome for deterring Dragons and Tornadus-t while Earth Power gives you some fire power vs. Jirachi and Tentacruel. If you don't find yourself getting burned often, you can try Earthquake too.

After that, definitely try Flash Cannon Magnezone. Thunderbolt kills basically everything anyway. You'll mostly set up vs. Ferrothorn, and +6 Thunderbolt will do KO it anyway. Flash Cannon will help you vs. the omnipresent Landorus/Lando-t, Lati@s, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Garchomp, etc. Hidden Power Fire is pretty weak, and even at +6, it's not going to do anything notable.

Finally, use Shadow Ball on Alakazam. Energy Ball is pretty much useless. I think STAB Psychic (Psyshock maybe not) is comparably powerful to a Super Effective Energy Ball. Shadow Ball will be much more useful vs. Psychic types like Reuniclus, Lati's, other Alakazam, Jellicent, etc. It's just way more useful in almost every circumstance I can think of.

Good luck!
