For the next Pokémon, I'm on a doubt between Maractus, Tynamo, Dedenne, Plusle, Spiritomb, Stunfisk and Cottonee.

Edit: In the end I didn't hatched 1313, but 1213 eggs. I was counting them 100 eggs ahead of what was the real number of eggs I hatched. So that means that my shiny Klink hatched in the egg 1119. I was already making this mistake even before I sign up here in Smogon and decided to join this project, so all the numbers I said here were 100 eggs higher then the reality.

I'm on quite a dry spell right now. This hunt has been going on for months to the point where I hiatus'd pokemon for a while in frustration. I actually got my first random encounter shiny ever today that was not intentional.
The number is a slight bit off, since my calculations were based off of my absol hunt (which ended in 300 w/o the shiny charm) plus my approximate number of other eggs hatched (I gave myself 100- which is actually a really high estimate. It's likely slightly lower) minus my total hatched eggs. This resulted in the number 900, but it could be a little higher depending on various factors. It's close enough that it shouldn't add or subtract to the overall study.

Well I started this post, but it got deleted ;-; at least I have my count. I've hatched a LOT more eggs from last update. This is a sob story for the ages everyone. This is literally seven times the amount of eggs that it took for me to get my absol WITHOUT the shining charm :/ Anyone have any advice?

Seeing you hatched quite a few shinies already i don't think you need any advice now.
Every eggs had the same ratio and it won't increase the more egg you hacth. just like playing lotto game every time
Hatched 1960 eggs but still found no shiny is quite bad (esp for the long hacth eevee) but trust me, you're not alone to feel that. Me and several peoples here too.
I can only suggest you should try combine with hatching o power lv3. It really speed up the process.
Or take a break before your morale drop to high and return sometime later

I've actually only hatched one, I apologize if my signature is misleading. (It was the Absol- and it was after 300 eggs without the Shining Charm. The rest were from hunts outside of MM. I should specify that hehe)
I am aware of that- in fact I know the game mechanics like my life depended on it. I spend several years studying what I could of breeding for black and white, including learning the RNG (which helps understanding).

I really appreciate the advice! May I ask- What's your hatching strategy? I've tried two in particular:
* Collect 6 eggs, hatch and release
* Collect several boxes of eggs, hatch, check then release

I know I'll get it eventually, And I thank you so much for the boost of confidence. I really needed that, as I almost ended my eevee hunt last night, but I think I'll keep going! Thanks :)
 
I know you didn't ask me, but I'm going to answer anyways. :D

I always collect several boxes of eggs (I'm working with six at the moment), then I go to Lumiose City and cycle around the Central Plaza.
It's personal of course, but I find that collecting six eggs at a time slows down the process immensely. When you have multiple eggs in your box, you can just pick up some new ones and hatch those. When you only have six, you must return to the day-care and wait until a new egg appears.

I hope your Eevee hatches soon. I'm working on an Eevee as well at the moment! :D
 
Roxie Since I don't really just hatch to look for shinies (I usually do breeding projects etc. for other people and IVs are important to me), I always collect five at a time and hatch, check for IVs, deposit them and carry on. Even playing one or two hours every day I can do up to three boxes.

If you don't care about IVs though, collecting a lot of eggs and then hatching them all at once does sound like a good idea, but then your O-Power will run out really fast even if it's at max regenerating power. That's what I like about checking IVs and depositing before picking up new eggs.

I also suggest not getting too worked up about the numbers! My goal in breeding is normally to get perfect IVs or save eggs for SV hatching so a shiny is just a nice bonus and not the end game. Then I don't get too mad, I hardly even noticed when I went a couple of thousand eggs without any shinies (I just checked my egg total while battling ... over 8000 eggs. I'm not even at max time yet and that's not counting using the Time Machine method either!). If I need to regenerate O-Powers I go and play at the Battle Maison, battle other people, SR legendaries or events and so on. Don't focus on your shiny rate too much, there lies the road to madness and it's a short one.

Oops why did I ramble like that. tl;dr: Don't give up and don't work yourself up about it ;)

My hatching is nothing speacial. It hardy can even call "strategy" but since you ask i guess i can share:
First i need 4000+steps count on my 3ds. Just shaking about 20-30 mins is enough. Or you just put it to your pocket and walk around for some time. This need to max out the o power recharge rate and because it reset at night you best do it as soon as possible.
Second is every time i load my game, i take out both the parents out the day-care and send them back. Just for the MM reactive (not sure about this but better then nothing). Suck for eggs move i know so you can ingore this. After all there is no proof.
After that i just stock the eggs with me (no store it in the box) and active the hatching o power lv3 after i get full six eggs and bike around at route 7. After two eggs hatched (or one if that pokemon took long time to hatch) i visit the day care and release it and get the new eggs to hatch. I believe this is faster than collect several box then hatch at Lumisoe City.
And after that, it all depend on your patience and luck. My longest hun is Timburr, took me around 2000 eggs and fastest is Bagon, just 3 eggs.
Well, i think i now in the second place in this topic who hatched the most eggs at around 20000 now. And about 8000 non-shiny charm put me around 28000 eggs hatch

It has modest nature and 31/31/XX/31/31/31 ivs, I hope the def ivs isn't lower than 30.

OKAY! So.
*useless anecdote* I was just shiny hunting for jokes half to procrastinate on my essay. I found my first shiny in BW- Which is the first full odds shiny I have ever found (Without MM, FS, SC) I started to cry. I finished writing my essay, and the first encounter was shiny! I was so floored that I actually found a shiny on a game other than X.
I decided to take advantage of my seed, and continued to hatch my last batch of eggs before bed while I shiny hunted in W2 and B in the same location.
