Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

(R) Only half a standard team.
(L) Diancite... Luxray (is this a thing???)
(R) Pixie Last Resort. Ok, there are worse gimmicks tbh...
(L) Speaking of gimmicks, real men use offensive Skarmory.
(R) Steelixite Tyranitar using Dragon Claw on said Skarmory, who freely boosts to +6.
(L) Idk if Venusarite Godgoat is legit.
(L) Ok, that's a Sablenite Blissey. With Seismic Toss AND Hyper Voice.
(L) Blue Orb Gliscor.
(L) Red Orb Victini is legit, but standard sets don't carry Shadow Ball, do they?

Left looks OK. But right...
- Hypnosis Mega Gallade is... weird. Also Sleep Clause is there. Not that it mattered anyway, your Hypnosis has been bounced... let's use it again!
- A full-health non-Mega'd Haxorus uses Endeavor. Also, if your opponent is spamming Scald, I wouldn't send in a physical attacker, you know.
- Haxorus proceeds to spam Endeavor and then tries to Counter a Scald.
- Special MMX. Also, that worthless freeze.
- Switching exists. Recover won't save you from toxic poison.
- Thunder + Thrash Mega Tyranitar...
- Draco Meteor weakens over time. Just saying.
- Itemless (?) Gliscor with SD +Acrobatics.
- Sablenite Mew Toxic stalls the whole team.

(R) Red Orb Blissey.
(R) Non-Mega'd (?) Entei.
(L) Quick Claw Ditto. Also, don't copy a mon with stat drops.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-330783585
(L) Special MMX.
(R) Special Gallade.
(R) Gyro Ball + Hammer Arm Metagross. Nice gimmick, but using Hammer Arm on MMX is a bad idea.
(R) Please, no more regular Charizards, please no more regular Charizards...
(L) Defog with no hazards and when your main move is unavoidable is the right way to use Defog.
(R) Aaah, it's not a non-Mega Charizard, it's a physical Mega Charizard Y.
(R) Why are you using Ice Beam on a Primal Kyogre?

  • (L) Trick Room Hoopa-U. Not the 0 Spe IV, -Spe nature variant though, as Sylveon moved first under TR. (Sylveon has 156 Spe with 0 EVs, Hoopa-U can reach 148 Spe with the right IV and nature).
  • (L) Not sending out Aggron vs. Sylveon; instead Giratina-O replaces Hoopa and loses lots of HP from Hyper Voice.
  • (R) Power Trick Shuckle. It was actually knocked out by a special move and never had a chance to attack.
  • (R) Delcatty, beaten up by a crit Blizzard from...
  • (L) ...Primal Kyogre, also equipped with Double-Edge. It gave a free Swords Dance to Shedinja, one of its hard counters, before retreating.
  • (L) Dragon Claw / Double-Edge non-Rock Head Aggron. Worse, it used Dragon Claw right when a Kingler switched in (the only conscious Pokémon not immune to Dragon on right). It certainly attempted to use it on Shedinja.
  • (R) That Kingler had Surf (when Crabhammer exists) and Shell Bell.
  • (R) Togetic, with Double-Edge (already 3rd weird Double-Edge user).
  • (L) There are a Shedinja and a severely wounded Sylveon on right. Instead of sending out Mega Rayquaza to clean, left sends out... BoltBeam / Double-Edge / Rest Primal Kyogre #2, which allows Shedinja (which had a Sash) to get 2 SDs and finish off the rest.

  • (L) Incinerate Krookodile.
  • (L) Steel Wing / Blizzard Empoleon. It also tried to use its Steel STAB on Jolteon, but missed on Mandibuzz.
  • (R) Speaking of which, Mandibuzz had the annoyer Iron Defense / Snarl set. It notably gets the achievement of outstalling...
  • (L) ...Cross Poison Galvantula, who had to give up after getting its SpA taken down.
  • (L) Left sends out Flame Charge / Iron Tail / Dragon Pulse Mega Charizard X instead of Gardevoir on that buffed Mandibuzz. Left forfeits a few turns later.

Right's attempt at sweeping with
failed when Smeargle tried to Belly Drum at 31% HP, vs a mono-Poison team.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-331018300
  • (R) Dynamic Punch / Trick Room / Dark Pulse Dusknoir. Of course, it landed none of its punches.
  • (L) Signal Beam Primal Kyogre, failing to KO Sceptile. It also missed two Origin Pulses out of 4 tries.
  • (R) Ancient Power Armaldo in a Swords Dance moveset. This is no longer Gen 3, folks (and even then it learnt Rock Slide at that time).
  • (L) Power Gem Mega Sableye managing to finish off Blaziken. At least it's better than Dark Pulse here.

>Bring team that doesn't know if it wants to be PU, NU, or OU
>Say it's just a game and should never be taken seriously
>Get mad and say someone has an all legendary team when in reality they only have three legendaries

Low ladder AG sure is fun.
You forgot the fact that Wobbuffet used COUNTER against something known for being a special attacker, AND had Sp. Atk boosts.
Mixed Venusaur.

Fun hax. Bad opponent and rage, what more could you ask?

Mono-Bug vs. Life Orb + Brave Bird (ouch, the recoil, especially without any spinner/defogger) / Overheat Talonflame, Pachirisu and others. Guess who wins.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-331785753
Swords Dance Infernape vs. the world. Right really took their time beating left, with notably Sticky Web used against that lone Infernape.

Proudly said by right:
★Jibanyan Rancio:Team smash bros.
Including some SSB-related moves, such as Disable Mewtwo, Rollout Jigglypuff, Double Team Mega Lucario and Fly non-Mega Charizard.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-331803045
Left has:
  • Brick Break Blaziken (when Low Kick and High Jump Kick exist)
  • Itemless Hoopa-U to abuse Magician
  • Psychic Mega Mewtwo Y (when Psystrike exists, unless you want to hit Primal Groudon harder)
  • Brick Break Zygarde (when Superpower exists and Fighting-type moves are crap on it anyway)
Meanwhile, right has a megaless Kanto starter team and nothing else, including Hydro Cannon + Surf Blastoise (who used Protect after Hyperspace Fury was revealed) and Sunny Day Venusaur paired with Life Orb, non-Solar Power Charizard.

And for some reason that Hoopa-U is level 96 rather than 100.

(Enemy): Giving Gengar (a Poison-type) a Toxic Orb
(Me):Not maxing out Gengar's speed EV
(Enemy):Rain Dance... Mega Charizard X with Origin Pulse and Speed Boost? (WTF?)
(Me):Spamming Leech Seed for no particular reason
(Enemy): Forfeiting for no particular reason
(Me):Using Spiky Shield on a turn the enemy was setting up Bulk Up
(Enemy): Using Ancient Power against Ferrothorn
(Enemy): Bone Rush on a Conkeldurr that already knows Earthquake? (WTF?)
(Enemy): Balloon on Dragonite? (WTF???)
(Enemy): Trick or Treat on said Dragonite? AND USING IT ON A GHOST TYPE?

  • Blizzard Kyogre-P. Ya know, there's another powerful attack that has a 30% chance to cause a status effect, and this one even has perfect accuracy in rain. Looking at you, Thunder.
Blizzard 2hkos any Latias but thats not really relevant in MnM i guess

Tried it and, after a lot of failed attempts, I found this.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-332199943
It just HAD to work.
Is there anything stopping the foe from switching out the turn after you Skill Swap Magnet Pull onto them? Also, why Skill Swap and not Entrainment for Magnet Pull? You know they already have Colour Change, so there's no risk of your Entrainment being Magic Bounced. Does Skill Swap hit through Substitute/Magic Coat while Entrainment doesn't? I feel like the risk of the foe switching after you Skill Swap them is greater than the risk of Substitute/Magic Coat.

Edit: Unless Magnet Pull 'mons can automatically switch out of other Magnet Pull 'mons, in which case Skill Swap is the better option.

EDIT EDIT: Never mind you already fixed that. It's the previous replay with that strat I was remembering.
