Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/smogondoubles-88203035

Not necessarily an OM but there is no thread for it and it sure is stupid.

Featuring:
Switcheroo EVERYWHERE
Type chart ignorance
"Dargon" the charizard and even worse names
The pinsir in this battle will make you flip your lid. seriously.

http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/anythinggoes-218706397

the obligatory AG battle.

http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/anythinggoes-218706881

Zubat is always good enough for AG. Just like Magikarp.

Quiver Dancing is not the way to beat magnemite.

He used Thunder Wave on Galvantula, Switcheroo on everything, and killed 2 of his own Pokemon--and that's the guy that won
/me dies
Also, put Pinsirite on Pinsir, give it Giga Impact>Hyper Beam and it would be passable as a nuke, but Quick Claw+Hyper Beam=no

Let me know if I missed anything in these absurd replays.

First replay:
Poison Powder Vileplume with Miracle Seed. (Just use a freaking Plate. Or something good like a Life Orb).
Quick Claw Pinsir with Hyper Beam (Giga Impact, as stated above) and Bug Bite. You're not Scizor.
I will say that the Sticky Barb Trick was pretty damn clever, though.

Second replay:
The fine Anything Goes tradition of pairing Ubers with your favorites. Here we have Flareon, Jolteon, and Torterra on one side, Luxray and Eelektross on the other.
Quick Claw Deo-S (gotta go fast!) that activates on Avalanche.
For that matter, Avalanche Deo-S, which just happened to work.
Heat Wave Staraptor (decent coverage, but not off 50 SpA).
Dragon Rush Salamence (I love the move too, but nice 75% accuracy).
Blaze Kick Lucario? What are you hitting with that?

Third replay:
Way to forfeit the easy victory. Also, random shiny on the mono-Zubat. Please don't; that's one of the ugly puke-green ones.

Fourth replay:
That is not how one FEARs. Which is exactly why it worked. Nicely done.

The only thing you missed is the replays themselves

Sing + Dream Eater non-mega Altaria. Also, using Dragon Claw on a Fairy. Aye aye aye. Also, three potential megas (it, Gyarados, and Mawile) and apparently none of them were.

I think I've figured it out. In Anything Goes, it isn't just the rules that go out the window. Common sense goes with them. (Though it certainly is more entertaining than the same old SwagPlay, Moody abuse, chain-passing, and Mega Ray shenanigans.)

Featuring things that look legit at first, but really suck.
Cuz Fire Blast/Flamethrower/Precipice Blades/EQ is totally the best PrimalDon set. Powerful, or accurate, all in one set!
Also, DIVE mixed PrimalOgre, Fusion Bolt/Bolt Strike Zekrom, using a Water move in harsh sun, Lefties+BD Azumarill, and the winner doesn't know the type chart! I don't even want to know what the other Pokemon had.
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/balancedhackmons-219142731
If your crummy Mono fire team doesn't suceed, toss a primal groudon onto it. You'll win battles even if you use crummy starters.
Zard can live 2 rounds of Rocks damage with an even HP number!!!1!!11!
>Desolate Land PrimalDon in BH
Also featuring badplayz4dayz, stupid items, and a flinchax Mega Steelix!
http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/anythinggoes-219142533
A mandibuzz almost sweeping and HYPER BEAM kyurem B.
Using good Pokemon will make you win even if you use shitty sets :^)
Hyper Beam Kyu-B, P-up Punch Luc, Psystrike mixed MMX, and a guy who is using a team of OU things in AG (some are even below OU). I also think the guy who lost may have had 3 Megas :I

http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/monotype-219148038
Shitty Normal Monotype and subpunch breloom sweeping.
Really putting that 57 base SpAtk to work there with Braviary. Bounce Sawsbuck is also quite uh...interesting. My only question is why the Breloom didn't have Mach Punch or something. Overall, as you said, a pretty shitty Mono Normal team.

Can't complain about free points.

Knowing that this person hates Fire of any kind, it seems that Steel or any other type can easily run through his team because without Fire moves, Poison's kinda screwed against a whole bunch of other types. I wonder why he kept on using Destiny Bond when I was setting up though. The only real silly thing was the Weezing. Infestation and Venoshock aren't very common on Weezing and for good reason.

Man, this guy pissed me off. May he burn forever.

Bro
Fire moves are for scrublords
We've been thru this

My estimations of human sanity have dropped so low by watching stuff on this thread. And that Weezing set was weird asf

Headbutt Megamence sweeps a team with, among other things, Light Metal Metagross, normal Charizard, and no knowledge of type charts.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/customgame-219625595
CursePass to Charizard-Y, then turn 5 happened. And more later.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219626590
Okay then.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-219625667
Does OU No Mega count as stuff for this thread? Because there are some shite sets, plus a random Drifloon.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/pu-219625934
You can switch out of Encore, you know.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-219624608
Protect AND Spiky Shield on the same Chesnaught. And that guy won, due to his opponent's odd gimmicks not working all that well. That use of Skill Swap was also hilarious.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219628145
Turns 1 through 4, Tyranitar reveals its moveset. Which is completely walled by Gengar. It doesn't get any better from there.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219628592
Fly Megaray, and idek what the chat was about.

How not to deal with Shedinja, and more oddness in the chat.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-219627968
Shadow Claw Bisharp, but not too much else notable here, unless you count the lol factor of Crobat killing Magnezone with Brave Bird.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219627281
Echoed Voice gimmick failing, and a disproportionate amount of Dark Pulse hax.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219631204
Persian and Dragonair vs. (presumably) poor Ubers team with Roar of Time Darkrai.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-219632092
No Harvest shenanigans for you.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-219629193
Not really sure what to say about this one.

Not really sure if Geospam Whimsicott is a thing. And that P2 tho.

not the first time I've seen that P2 trick. it's back a bit in this thread, actually.

I decided to try to start Triples by using a Gravity team from the Triples Thread.
Got some funny matches, but only saved one replay.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-220152985
- Hydro Cannon Torrent Greninja.
- Blast Burn Infernape.
- Lucario using Aura Sphere when its only targets either resist it or are immune.
- Thunder Wave Raichu. I taunted it the turn it went for it because Sableye had literally nothing else to do. Discounting the fact that Thundurus does a fast paralysis better, Raichu gets Nuzzle, which completely invalidates Thunder Wave.

From separate miscellaneous matches:
Mono-ground team.
Magnezone with Magnet Pull, and without Discharge.
A guy whose apparent strategy seemed to be having Scarf Porygon-Z spam Discharge with two Lightning Rod users on the sides. Ignoring the fact that any ground can cockblock the Porygon, he additionally had nothing for Tailwind.
Lack of Sleep Clause in triples.
Stone Edge Landorus-I. Rock Slide not only gets a Sheer Force boost (Or if you're using Sand Force, gets annoying flinches), but is a spread move.
Curse Ferrothorn with no real objective. It also had no recovery to prevent it from being worn down.
Venusaur and Charizard are on your team. What do you do? You Mega Evolve the Venusaur and have Charizard spam Dragon Pulse on a resist when Heat Wave would OHKO two of the active Pokemon.

And then, the most surprising and astonishing thing of all.....
A real team.
