They can even beat celesteela and toxapex (victini can still do this but it can't recover the hp lost if there are the rocks)

Counters: latios and latias

They can beat the entire core without being switched-out multiple times

Checks: Mega Medicham and Kyurem-Black, two hole-punching threats that do massive damage to the VenuCelePex core (especially Kyurem-B).

This Weeks victim is mega Lopunny. A Pokemon That has started in recent times started gaining traction thanks to its unresisted stabs, Decent Movepool and Great Speed.

Sets
Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Substitute / Power Up Punch / Ice Punch
- Fake Out / Encore / Ice Punch

Gaining Traction in the meta during recent weeks Lopunny is Often used offense breaker thanks to her Solid Speed Teir and Unresisted stab combo as well as fantasic movepool which make her without something Like Clefable or a Priority user very hard to switch into. Return and HJK are mandatory stabs which thanks to scrappy are unresisted by the entire game. From There she has 2 slots to do whatever she pleases with. Substitute and Encore provide means to break stall and Take advantage of status users. Power Up punch let her boost her offense's, Fake out offer Chip dmg and Priority for weakening bulky mons While Ice Punch handle's the Ground Trinity.
However Even with her extensive movepool and Unique abilities she cant beat everything and struggles with Bulky mons like Clefable and mega venusaur and Hates the resurgent Scarf Lele but regardless Lopunny remains a threat in the game.

Goodluck everyone this week and happy posting

EVs: 240 HP / 156 Def / 112 Spe
Timid Nature

Mew may seem to be a Substitute / Encore bait, but Psychic neutralize every chance that Mega Lopunny has to beat it.

M-Venusaur as Counter

Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 248 HP / 140 Def / 104 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leech Seed/Giga Drain
- Synthesis
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Earthquake

Mega Venusaur's very good bulk and typing allows it to take hits from M-Lopunny comfortably. Return 3HKOs only if rocks are up. Ice punch does absolutely nothing thanks to its ability Thick fat, which halves damage from ice/fire type move, HJK doesn't do much either. PuP can be a bit annoying as it can 2HKO with Return after +1. Even from 0SpA,Sludge Bomb does 45-55% and can possibly poison it, Giga drain is a guaranteed 3HKO . It can also cripple M-Lopunny with Leech Seed while gaining some recovery back. Synthesis is reliable form of recovery and allows it to switch on attacks multiple times.

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 248 HP / 140+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 118-139 (32.5 - 38.2%) -- 96.7% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 140+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 75-88 (20.6 - 24.2%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Ice Punch vs. 248 HP / 140+ Def Thick Fat Venusaur-Mega: 58-70 (15.9 - 19.2%) -- possible 6HKO
+1 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 248 HP / 140+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 175-207 (48.2 - 57%) -- 90.6% chance to 2HKO

Clefable as a counter

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast

Clefable is bulky enough to live Frustration pretty comfortably and resists High Jump Kick thanks to its Fairy typing. On top of this, it's immune to all forms of hazards due to its Magic Guard ability, which prevents it from being worn down after a couple of switchins. Lopunny's only way to bypass Clefable outside of the unreliable Iron Tail is Encore, which is very risky because of the threat of Moonblast

Toxapex as a Counter

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Black Sludge
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Recover
- Toxic Spikes
- Haze

Toxapex's typing, ability and monstrous bulk enables it to wall M-Lopunny back and forth without much trouble. Even if M-Lopunny had PuP to get past physical walls, Toxapex would still Haze it, ruining its wallbreaking opportunity. The only threat Toxapex has to fear from M-Lopunny is Encore, but when it does get Encored, Toxapex can simply switch out, regain health via Regenerator and switch back into M-Lopunny to wall it again (harder to do with hazards though). In return, Toxapex stays alive with Recover, can render M-Lopunny completely useless with a Scald burn (however, Scald isn't strong enough to break its Subs T_T) and even lay down some Toxic Spikes to wear it and its teammates down.
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 23-28 (7.5 - 9.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 61-72 (20 - 23.6%) -- possible 6HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 96-114 (31.5 - 37.5%) -- 85.7% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
+1 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 144-169 (47.3 - 55.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
+1 252 Atk burned Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 72-84 (23.6 - 27.6%) -- 6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny-Mega: 54-64 (19.9 - 23.6%) -- possible 5HKO

Reserving Scarf Lele

Scarf Tapu Lele as a check.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Hidden Power Fire
- Focus Blast

Scarf Lele can outspeed Mega Lopunny and easily OHKO it with any of its STAB moves, and it can also live a Return from Lopunny at full.

252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny-Mega in Psychic Terrain: 458-540 (169 - 199.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny-Mega: 320-380 (118 - 140.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Banned deucer.
Gonna take Pinsir-Mega for this
PINSIR-MEGA AS A CHECK
Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake / Close Combat

Pinsir-Mega is known to terrorize almost every team archetype with its incredible Aerilate boosted attacks. Its Quick Attack is fearsome against offense, hitting faster and frailer foes with extreme power behind its priority. One of these targets is Lopunny-Mega.

252 Atk Aerilate Pinsir-Mega Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lopunny-Mega: 188-224 (69.3 - 82.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

With a bit of chip, whether through Spikes or just hits through the match, Lopunny is KOed.
At +2, Lopunny-Mega is easily OHKOed.
If Lopunny's in range and you predict well, Pinsircan even take the risk of switching into HJK:

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Pinsir-Mega: 46-55 (16.9 - 20.2%) -- possible 5HKO

That being said, Pinsir-Mega is 2HKOed by Return, and rocks take off tons of its health, so it can be pretty shaky at times. That being said, if you can keep rocks off the field mid-game Pinsir can easily beat Lopunny.

The set is standard. SD gives it the power it needs to break through teams, Return is the Aerilate-boosted STAB, Quick Attack is boosted STAB priority, and EQ is the best move in this meta to break through the rampant steels for the SE hit on Magearna. If your team doesn't really have a way to break past Celesteela and Skarmory, you can use CC but the hit on Magearna is more important and the defense drops are really bad for it.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell / Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog / Whirlwind
- Spikes / Toxic
- Brave Bird

Skarmory's bulk allows it to switch in on any of Mega Lopunny's moves (with the exception of High Jump Kick at +1) and OHKO it with Brave Bird after one Substitute or one round of hazard damage.

Offensive:
0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lopunny-Mega: 228-270 (84.1 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 SpD OR 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower

Celesteela isn't 2HKOed from full by High Jump Kick (although SR brings it into range of a ~60% 2HKO rate with the mixed spread). Furthermore, it fears nothing from Return while also pressuring Lopunny with the threat of Protect-->crash recoil. It's not a perfect defensive answer, but it works when the situation calls for it.

Counter: Shedinja

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Swords Dance
- Leech Life
- Shadow Sneak

Such a gimmicky Pokémon, but the point still stands that Shedinja is the only Pokémon to prevent Lopunny from having perfect coverage. Shedinja utterly walls this set and can take it down with Leech Life or cripple it with Will-O-Wisp.

Hippodown as a Counter

Hippowdon's great bulk and acces to a reliable recovery makes it a solid mega lopunny counter.

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Hippowdon: 153-181 (36.4 - 43%) -- 98.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Slowbro @ Leftovers / Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Psyshock
- Thunder Wave / Calm Mind

Slowbro does not fear any of Lopunny's STAB damage whatsoever, not even if Lopunny is somehow able to setup beforehand. Lopunny doesn't do anything at all to Slowbro and things get even worse for Lopu if she faces Mega Slowbro. Even if it carries Thunder Punch (which is extremely rare), it would take five turns in order to potentially finish Slowbro off (and it would never happen anyways, because Slowbro can keep healing itself and will finish Lopunny way before it happens and might cripple it completely in the proccess). Thunder Punch does less damage than Return anyways, so we shall not take it into consideration.

On the other hand, Lopunny must fear being potentially 1-2 K.Oed with ease, being burned or even being used as a setup fodder if Slowbro is carrying a Calm Mind variant as its set. If Lopunny switches out, its trainer must also watch out for a potential cripple on whichiever Pokémon it choses to respond to Slowbro.

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 117-138 (29.6 - 35%) -- 13.4% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro-Mega: 82-97 (20.8 - 24.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
+1 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro-Mega: 121-144 (30.7 - 36.5%) -- 62.7% chance to 3HKO

On the other hand

0 SpA Slowbro Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lopunny-Mega: 182-216 (67.1 - 79.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Slowbro-Mega Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lopunny-Mega: 228-270 (84.1 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Slowbro Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lopunny-Mega: 272-324 (100.3 - 119.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Slowbro Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny-Mega: 90-106 (33.2 - 39.1%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO (We must also consider the high chance to apply burn, completely crippling Lopunny)

Latios's access to a choice scarf giving its speed a 1.5x boost allowing it to outpace m-lop + good offensive stab allows it to always beat it on a 1v1.

Counter

Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power Fire
- Sleep Powder

Physically Defensive Tangrowth is a good pivot into Mega Lopunny as it avoids the 2HKO from HJK, while Ice Punch does considerably less. Regenerator keeps it healthy enough to continuously switch-in under normal circumstances, Rocky Helmet punishes the assailant, and Sleep Powder is useful for annoying the opposition.
