Snorlax
HP: 160
Atk: 110
Def: 65
SpA: 65
SpD: 110
Spe: 30

Doubles/Triples Sets
Snorlax @ Sitrus Berry / Chople Berry
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
nature: Adamant
ability: Thick Fat
- Return / Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Protect / Selfdestruct
  • Snorlax can take a huge number of special hits, and can deal good damage in return with its large Attack stat.
  • Return or Body Slam gives Snorlax a strong STAB attack; while Return is more powerful and better suited to Trick Room teams, Body Slam has a chance of paralysis, which can help Snorlax immensely if it's not on a Trick Room team.
  • Earthquake hits Rock-types such as Tyranitar, and Crunch hits Ghost-types, complementing Return's coverage.
  • Selfdestruct is a powerful attack that can take the place of Protect, allowing Snorlax to go out with a bang when it's low on health.
  • Snorlax's EV spread and item are incredibly malleable, and you can manipulate them to survive whatever attack or combination of attacks you wish. Chople Berry is useful for taking Close Combat and other Fighting-type attacks, but other items are also useful.
  • Belly Drum is usable thanks to Snorlax's huge special bulk, but the HP lost makes it difficult to use without dying.
  • Normal Gem is an option for an item, allowing Snorlax to KO even bulky opponents such as Garchomp in a single hit. With Snorlax's excellent Attack stat, a Gem-boosted Return hits like a truck and can be gamebreaking.
  • EV spread is suboptimal but Snorlax is like the trickiest thing to EV around...so use your imagination.

link says blaziken and no nature :P

also selfdestruct is a pokewalker mon (i think), so IVs may be less than optimal.

Normal Gem Return is ridiculously powerful, and it really changes the game (especially since return without normal gem *almost* KOes things a lot of the time).

eep you enjoy this dont you

There are three ways to get Selfdestruct on a Snorlax:

  • Get a Snorlax in the 3rd Gen and trade it to XD. Use a Selfdestruct tutor to teach it Selfdestruct. Migrate as you please. (RNG Difficulty: Breed one in Emerald)
  • The aforementioned Pokewalker Munchlax. RNGing it is doable. You might have trouble with the nature with the right IVs. Pokewalker IVs are restrictive, but IIRC you should be able to get 31/31/31/x/31/31 or 31/31/31/x/31/0 from Pokewalker.
  • Selfdestruct is an egg move for Munchlax in Gen V. Just get any male Snorlax with either of the two above methods, and breed. Easy to RNG.
IVs should not be a huge issue for Selfdestruct Snorlax.

yes I do enjoy this, moof
