Umby
I'm gonna bury you in the ground~
Here's a team I kinda want to see end up better, since it has somewhat of a "glass cannon" effect.
Swampert (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 236 HP / 136 Def / 80 SAtk / 56 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rest
Raikou @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 188 HP / 216 Spd / 104 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roar
- Thunderbolt
The idea is to receive support from Celebi/Vaporeon to make up for lack of Sub. Roar out Snorlax/Regice over Spikes, then decimate with +1 Thunderbolt. Pretty much the same goes for Swampert. I opted for HP Ice because I don't have a *solid* counter for Celebi. Once they spot Roar, I'm pretty sure the Leech versions will have no fear switching in. Might as well surprise them.
Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 148 Def / 120 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Heal Bell
- Psychic
- Recover
Skarmory (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Atk / 136 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Drill Peck
- Roar
- Spikes
I like Counter. I never really Rest unless I have some kind of standard Brazilian stall team, and Sub just seems like a waste of health now. Takes on late game Aerodactyl when Swampert/Vaporeon are down, at least. Also cool for those lame HP Fire Celebis.
Aerodactyl (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Rock Slide
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Roar
- Surf
- Wish
Swampert and Raikou have Ice moves, so I thought why not use Roar here?
The main problems it's been having is not having a way to shut down spinners. The team offense thrives on Spikes damage, but if I can't keep them down, it's not going to be doing much.
The other issue is just a personal preference. Sometimes I'll intentionally forego using a special wall and rely on typing to field special attacks. In that regard, Raikou/Celebi/Vapreon together take a lot of special attacks without problems.
