All administrative decisions pertaining to the fifteenth edition of the Smogon Premier League will go here, with relevant precedents from previous tournaments linked below. As always, the general tournament rules and guidelines are in effect for SPL as well.

The auction for SPL XV will take place Sunday, January 7th at 5 PM GMT -5 (10 PM GMT). Player signups and retentions will close 48 hours prior to the auction.

The first week of SPL XV will go up Monday, January 15th.

The auction for SPL XV will now take place on Sunday, January 7th at 3 PM GMT -5 (8 PM GMT). Player retentions and signups will close 48 hours prior to the auction.

Due to the short notice of the auction being moved, signups will remain open until the original 5pm EST (GMT-5) deadline. Following this point, no signups will be allowed.

Re: mind gaming

mind gaming was contacted by a SPL manager regarding the possibility of being drafted in this SPL. During the conversation, mind gaming indicated clearly that they did not want to play for this manager. Initially, mind gaming provided a handful of justifications for their position, but subsequent to those issues being cleared up through discussion, they continued to reiterate that they had "no interest in teaming with [the team in question]". This includes an instance wherein mind gaming was asked plainly if they would play for the team, to which they continued to respond "no interest".

The TD team feels that mind gaming's continued denial of interest in playing for this team violates the following rule from the signup thread:

"If you are interested in playing, be aware that any team may buy you, and you are expected to play for any one of them."

It is clear that this continued denial will have a material impact on the SPL auction, and as such, cannot be ignored. mind gaming's actions, however, are not deemed to be overtly malicious, and as such it is within the discretion of the TD team to provide a minimal punishment. As a result of the above mentioned circumstances, it has been decided that mind gaming will be banned from participation in SPL XV with no further punishment.

The manager who initially reported mind gaming reconciled with them and wishes to retract their report. As a result, the TD team will be allowing mind gaming to participate in SPL XV under his original signup.

We also heard the community feedback around this and will be opening a policy thread to discuss possible changes to the rules around manager/player interactions.

imperfectluck was banned from Smogon for reasons unrelated to SPL XV. Because this ban occurred after the auction but before the start of the regular season, the Dragonspiral Tyrants had to choose a player from the undrafted pool instead of deferring their pick to midseason.

The Dragonspiral Tyrants have chosen Mada as their replacement player.

re: Lord_Enz vs TDNT

Situation: Lord_Enz (GMT +1) offered TDNT (GMT -3) to play between 6am-1pm GMT +1 on any day from Friday on. TDNT signaled to Lord_Enz that they cannot play at all during this window, and stated their availability as being between 5pm-4am GMT +1 on any day from Friday on. This is a clear situation of conflicting schedules due to varying timezones, leading to both players not being able to reach an agreement.

Decision: A double substitution will be enforced; the Indie Scooters and Wi-Fi Wolfpack must both provide a substitute for Lord_Enz and TDNT.

Both players successfully scheduled their game after the above decision had been posted. As such, it is no longer effective.

Due to extenuating irl circumstances, Lord_Enz is no longer able to compete in SPL XV.

The Indie Scooters will receive 3k sellback credits to be used at the midseason auction. Lord_Enz will not be barred from SPL XVI.

Genesis7 has been banned from Smogon for reasons unrelated to SPL XV. As per precedent, z0mOG is allowed to choose one of his players to act as his comanager for the remainder of the tournament while still being able to play in the tournament. RealJester will be assuming comanager duties for the Circus Maximus Tigers.

Baloor vs Beraldo

Beraldo refused to play despite Baloor and Circus Maximus Tigers managers' best attempts to get it played. Baloor is granted the activity win.

Eternal Spirit vs Isza

No contact was made until today by either party. This game is a dead game.

RE: Dridri vs Malekith, SPL Semifinals:

Upon the Dridri vs Malekith SPL game beginning, it appears Malekith’s account was compromised by another user. This user proceeded to !showteam and behave erratically, ruining the prospect of a legitimate SPL game.

Given the clearly compromised status of Malekith’s account, the match is deemed a forfeit and Dridri is awarded the win. This is an unfortunate situation, but Dridri and the Tyrants clearly have no fault in the matter and it would be unfair to them to replay the match. Ultimately, every PS user is responsible for their own account's security. Please make sure your passwords and accounts are secure moving forward.

RE: Dasmer

Towards the end of SPL, the TD team received a report on Dasmer that claimed that he had not met the minimum activity expectation for a drafted player. On review after SPL ended, per standard policy, the TD team agrees that Dasmer did not engage with his team even following efforts to get him more involved.

Dasmer will be infracted and barred from signing up from the next edition of SPL.
