ZU (SS) Electivire (GP 1/1) [DONE]

[OVERVIEW]
Electivire might seem appealing on paper due to its high attacking stats and good coverage movepool, but this is offset by the lack of a good physical STAB move and setup options, making its damage output often underwhelming. Electivire is outclassed as an offensive Electric-type by Rotom, Rotom-S, and even Manectric, and as a general mixed attacker by the likes of Silvally-Poison and Silvally-Fighting.

[SET]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Thunderbolt
move 2: Flamethrower
move 3: Focus Blast / Darkest Lariat
move 4: Earthquake / Darkest Lariat
item: Life Orb
ability: Motor Drive
nature: Hasty
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to make use of Electivire's decent attacking stats and movepool. However, it falls short because of the fact that Electivire has to make do with a rather weak STAB Thunderbolt, and its attacking stats are such that Electivire can often fail to get the KOs it really wants. Pokemon such as Silvally-Poison and Silvally-Fighting work better as mixed attackers due to either stronger STAB moves or a reliable boosting option, both of which Electivire lacks. As an offensive Electric-type in general, Rotom, Rotom-S, and Manectric are better choices due to having more reliable damage options.

[OVERVIEW]
Electivire has historically struggled in competitive Pokemon, and it's no different in SS ZU. Irrelevant + viré is a top mon in sm zu On paper, Electivire might seem appealing due to its high attacking stats and good coverage movepool, but this offset by the low base power of a lot of these moves, the lack of good physical STAB move and set up options making its damage output often underwhelming. Electivire is outperformed as an offensive Electric-type by Rotom, Rotom-Fan, and even Manectric, and as a general mixed attacker by the likes of Silvally-Poison and Silvally-Fighting.

Apologies for the double check, but given how short this analysis is it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
