Pinsir is a rather poor choice in SS ZU despite its great Attack stat, good coverage, and decent Speed, mainly due to the fact that it lacks a strong STAB option to make use of the former. Pinsir has to make do with X-Scissor, a rather weak move, and as a result its power is severely undercut. It's outperformed as a physical wallbreaker by Sawk, which has a far stronger STAB move in Close Combat and similar coverage, and as a Bug-type attacker by Crustle, which has access to Shell Smash and a strong secondary STAB move.
