Galahad [Empoleon] (♂)
From the moment Galahad hatched out of his egg, he knew he was destined for greatness. After all, becoming the regal and powerful Empoleon was within his wings. But, overconfidence led to his downfall, as he lost too many battles at a young age and carries numerous scars. The ghostly Caliber approached the Piplup, promising redemption, and, though reluctant, Galahad accepted, though his pride is still out of control.

Titania [Aggron] (♀)
A truly exceptional Aron, Titania first made herself known to Caliber during an arduous hike through the snowy mountains of Kalos. Her level-headed temperament and impeccable defenses were a necessity for his army. A standalone threat, she can single-handedly defeat many foes, and can stand firm even in the toughest situations. Her rare, whimsical coloring reminded Caliber of old fairy tales.
Nature: Careful (+1 SpD, -1 SpA)

Type: Steel/Rock / Steel (Mega)
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
Rock: Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage. Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Rock Head (Passive): This Pokemon's hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash. This does not prevent recoil damage from Struggle.
Heavy Metal (Passive): The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight.
Filter (Passive) (Mega): This Pokemon has a special energy barrier that reduces the Base Attack Power of any opponent's super effective attack by two (2).

Oberon [Metagross] (N)
Caliber found Oberon amidst the wreckage of an abandoned laboratory. Why anyone would leave such a rare Pokemon to die in the dust, he didn't know. Oberon's shiny coloring isn't entirely a blessing, though; there are defects in its mental processors that prevent it from being as smart as it could be. Oberon still stands firm despite that, and is a wise and humble member of the team.
Nature: Jolly (Speed*1.15, +8% Accuracy (Base), +19% Accuracy (Mega), -1 SpA

Type: Steel / Psychic

Light Metal (Passive): The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments).
Tough Claws (Mega) (Passive): This Pokemon has sharp claws that enhance the power of all of its contact attacks by two (2) BAP.

Holy Grail [Bronzong] (N)
Ouruboros dug up a dormant Bronzor one night during a training session. When defeated in battle, it submitted to Caliber's will, but only out of necessity. Grail is skeptical of Caliber's motives, and believes them to be impure. It often judges other Pokemon, and seems to call upon a higher power when using its psychic abilities.
Nature: Brave (+1 Atk, Speed/1.15, -10% Evasion)

Type: Steel / Psychic
Steel:
Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Abilities: Levitate / Heatproof / Heavy Metal
Levitate (Passive): This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.
Heatproof (Passive): This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance. The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.
Heavy Metal (Passive): The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight.

Morning Star [Ferrothorn] (♀)
In the dark ages of Kalos, Ferroseed and Ferrothorn were used as brutal weapons of torture, giving them a bad reputation in the rural parts of the region due to the terrible legends associated with them. Star is, unlike the Ferrothorn of days past, incredibly passive, but also willing to stand up to anything. She's excellent at standing her ground, and won't budge even from the most heated of attacks.
Nature: Brave (+1 Atk, Speed/1.15, -10% Evasion)

Type: Grass / Steel
Grass:
Grass STAB; immunity to Leech Seed, Worry Seed, and all "Powder" based attacks. Unable to have Petal Dance disrupted by oncoming damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Grass attacks requiring an external grass source. Access to Bloom Command.
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Lagann [Excadrill] (♂)
Lagann was not captured by Caliber, but instead by his long-lost descendant and heir, Cassandra, who lets him use the tricky little Drilbur on his Steel team. Lagann is smaller than the average Excadrill, and while some would see this as a detriment, he abuses it to maximize his maneuverability underground. His high speed and quick thinking compliment the power of his drill, which can pierce any enemy.
Nature: Jolly (Speed*1.15, +12% Accuracy, -1 SpA)

Type: Ground / Steel
Ground:
Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

EC: 6/6
MC: 0
AC: 5/5

Abilities: Sand Rush / Sand Force / Mold Breaker
Sand Rush (Passive): This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, feeling more at home in them than all other Pokemon. This Pokemon's Base Speed is doubled (x2) in a Sandstorm.
Sand Force (Passive): This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks. Each of this Pokemon's Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks will have the Base Attack Power increased by two (2).
Mold Breaker (Passive): Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities. Attacks are still redirected by Lightningrod/Storm Drain, but damage is dealt normally. Status-immunity abilities such as Limber will remove their relevant status at the start of the victim's next action.

Yo yo YO! Welcome asbers and random folk to Steel Quals, where our canidate, Iron Caliber will have the chance to test his skills to see if he will become the Steel Gym Leader! Our Examiner today will be Frosty and he waste no time sending out Yoake the Infernape with his favorite kind of candy that is very common in asb rare. Iron Caliber sends out Oberon the Metagross, holding onto a Metagrossite.

Iron Caliber activates Metagross' mega stone and orders Oberon to protect from Yoake's mighty roar....sadly protect doesn't protect from Roar, so Metagross is now inspire to retreat once this round is over.
Oberon shakes the earth, striking the Infernape. Yoake becomes angry and turns red like a tomato and cause the ground to burst jets of fire, assulting Oberon with pillars of scathing flames.
Yoake felt a little sluggish after using that move, but seem to find the energy to strike the Metagross with immense swiftness causing Oberon to flinch!

Oberon returns to his trainer and forces Titania the Aggron to take his place.
