Assault Vest
########
name: Assault Vest
move 1: Giga Drain / Power Whip
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Hidden Power Fire / Sludge Bomb
move 4: Focus Blast / Earthquake
ability: Regenerator
item: Assault Vest
evs: 248 HP / 48 Atk / SpA / 208 SpD
nature: Relaxed

Moves
========

-Giga Drain is the primary STAB move that deals with Water, Rock, and Ground types such as Alomamola and Rhyperior.
-Power Whip is an option for a more Physical based moveset.
-Knock Off is a great utility move that cripples lots of opponents and provides coverage on Ghost and Psychic types.
-Hidden Power Fire is to deal with opposing Steel types such as Doublade, Durant, Escavalier, and Registeel. It also hits things like Yanmega hard on the switch.
-Sludge Bomb is used to hit Fairy types such as Aromatisse, as well as opposing Grass types. It also provides neutral coverge against several opponents.
-Focus Blast can be used to hit Steel types and Dark types, but its bad accuracy is unappreciated.
-Earthquake is used to hit Electric types, and Steel types on a more Physically based set.

Set Details
========

-248 HP is used to give Tangrowth the bulk that it needs to perform its role.
-48 EVs go into either Attack or Special Attack to give it power, depending on whether the set is more Physically based or Specially based.
-208 EVs are used in Special Defense to pick up its lackluster Special bulk.
-A Relaxed nature is used to boost Tangrowths best stat, while lowering the one that matters the least.
-Assault Vest is used to pick up Tangrowths Special Defense even further at the cost of only being able to use attacking moves.

Usage Tips
========

-This set is used mostly as an offensive set.
-Tangrowth should not try to take on Special Attackers, as its Special Defense is still weak.
-It should not stay in too long as it has no reliable recovery moves with the Assault Vest.
-It should switch out after doing its job, to regain health with Regenerator.

Team Options
========

-Slowking for fire/ice. Tangrowth helps with electric types.
-Registeel for yanmega/hazards/twave support
-rhyperior for poison/flying/bug/fire. Tangrowth handles water.

Support
########
name: Support
move 1: Giga Drain
move 2: Leech Seed / Synthesis
move 3: Sleep Powder / Stun Spore
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Protect
ability: Regenerator
item: Leftovers
evs: 248 HP / 48 SpA / 208 SpD
nature: Relaxed

Moves
========

-Giga Drain is the primary STAB move that deals with Water, Rock, and Ground types such as Alomamola and Rhyperior.
-Leech Seed is a great move to give extra recovery while draining its opponents HP each turn in tandem with Leftovers.
-Synthesis can be used to regain health fast, and can increase Tangrowths survivability.
-Sleep Powder is used to put opponents to sleep, and forces swiyches while also potentially crippling great threats to your team.
-On the other hand, Stun Spore can be used to cripple oppoents for the whole battle,and it is not limited to just one opponent.
-Hidden Power Fire is used to hit Steel and Bug types, as well as opposing Grass types that would otherwise wall it.
-Protect is used to gain extra health each turn from Leech seed and Leftovers. This should only be used with Leech Seed, however.

Set Details
========

-248 HP is used to give Tangrowth the bulk that it needs to perform its role.
-48 EVs go into Special Attack to give it power on its Specially based attacking moves.
-208 EVs are used in Special Defense to pick up its lackluster Special bulk.
-A Relaxed nature is used to boost Tangrowths best stat, while lowering the one that matters the least.
-Leftovers are used to gain more HP each turn.

Usage Tips
========

-Should switch out of Special Attackers.
-Regenerator, Leech Seed, and Leftovers provide longevity, so it can last a while, and works well with stall.
-Should only use protect with Leech Seed.
-Dont try to deal big damage with things, as it is mostly a staller and users of it must be patient.

Team Options
========

-Slowking for Fire types and Ice moves
-Registeel for hazards, twave support, flying types, namely Yanmega.
-Rhyperior hazards / resisting each others type weaknesses.
-Sweepers can benefit from Leech Seed and when Tangrowth cripples its counter with status.

-Leaf Storm
-Choice Specs
-Toxic
-Amnesia
-Growth
-Infestation
-Poison Jab
-Rock Slide
-Swords Dance

Just a little bit, but what's the purpose of the second set?

The first set is way more offensive. And giga isnt enough for a pure health monster..also power whip is slashed.

Yokatta...
I would change the second set to something like Support and have moves like Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. The problem with the second set currently is that there is no reason for Tangrowth to stay in for a long time. It has Regenerator, so I see it as more of a pivot. Also, while its plain Grass typing isn't necessarily bad, it can be forced out rather quickly, so staying in and trying to go for Leech Seed and Synthesis and Giga Drain is not something it can reasonably do.

As a side note, you really should have an offensive set.

Well, I'd imagine it'd be more clear that the first set is offensive if the EV's and nature are shown. Same for the role of the second one.

On the second set, Sleep Powder should be the first slash in the third, imo, as only inexperienced players would leave their physical attacker in play if it can't break through Tangrowth, so crippling the switch in that can force Tangrowth out is nice, rather then Leech Seed that wouldn't benefit you anyway as you're forced to switch out (and take advantage of Regenerator, which in most case will be your source of recovery). Double powder seems more crippling and capitalizes on the forced switch out that Sleep Powder creates, by crippling the next mon with paralysis, although I'd wait for more input (from QC) before adding it to the second set.
