This is something I've been playing with lately, and I'd like to see what you can do with it:
magnezone.gif
+ Fairy spam
The idea is similar to DragMag, in that Fairy has very few things that resist it. So, by adding Magnezone, you can take down mons that resist Fairies like Skarmory, Bisharp, Scizor, and Ferrothorn. I'd love to see this idea come to life from an expert teambuilder, if you like the idea

I have a request to you CTC, If you can build a team around Gothitelle cause it have an amazing ability, Shadow Tag, it help to trap and eliminate Pokemon in defensive cores, Gothitelle performs exceptionally well against stall teams, as it can cripple and dismantle multiple defensive Pokemon.

I have another request. I would like to see a team built around dd zard x, band nite and cm stored power clef. Zard x is one of ou's most powerful hitters. Zard x breaks down the team for a band nite espeed sweep or vice versa. Clef is there for a auto win against stall an to check threats like scarf chomp. Stored power at +6 to Chansey does 62 percent iirc.

Alright, I have an odd request here. While I know the two play styles of Showdown and the in-game battle maison are very different, a fun little core I've been using there is Breloom/Weavile/Togekiss. Each pokemon can take on other mons that either one or both the other two can't. I'm curious to see how well this core could transfer over to the OU meta, and if it would still work as well in this competitive environment.

Since this is a "workshop" of sorts, and there's no real clarification on what that entails, I'll go ahead and assume that the teams CTC provides are up for discussion.

I requested the Gardevoir/Gliscor team, and CTC's plows through scrubs on the ladder like no tomorrow, but that's not exactly an extraordinary feat if we're all being honest here, so let's see what we can do with it to possibly make improvements. Here's the team that was provided:

Mega Gardevoir (F) @ Gardevoirite
Trait: Trace
EVs: 248 HP / 224 SDef / 36 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Hyper Voice

Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 188 SDef / 76 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 48 SDef / 212 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Protect

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Roost
- Defog
- Whirlwind
- Counter

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Roost

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ice]

the EVs don't really have anything warranting much discussion, but I've been fiddling with the movesets and think there might be somethings worthy of discussion.

First being Heatran + Skarmory. I don't have significant qualms about the switch from Ferro to (BAN ME PLEASE) and the addition of Skarm, as they have p fucken good synergy and cover the non-EQ Zards + Mega Pinsir threats, but tbh I'm not feeling Whirlwind on Skarm. Its purpose as a phasing panic button only really works when Sturdy is intact, and with rocks on the field and Skarm being the only way to remove them, Whirlwind seems kind of subpar on Skarmory atm, and I've got similar bitchings about SR on Tran, since CTCs Heatran set of choice takes a much more passive route and abusing sounds really appealing, so here's my suggestions:

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 48 SDef / 212 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock --> Substitute
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Protect

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Roost
- Defog
- Whirlwind --> Stealth Rock
- Counter

ya still got rocks so no worries there, albeit at the loss of phasing but tbh I don't really see the benefit in this instance, but at the benefit of gaining SubToxic + Protect, which is really fucken easy to abuse since (BAN ME PLEASE) forces a lot of switches and after a burn breaking his sub can be really fucken difficult for physical attakers unless you're conkeldurd, plus Heatran like Aegis resists all the moves that bypass subs like Bug Buzz, Boomburst, and Hyper Voice, so its got that going for it.

That's my take on it, idk what the general opinion will be but yeah, discuss

ok first off the maw ninja nite core. kinda sand weak, defog may or may not be needed since bandnite. no ground so a lanT or gliscor can be the sand check, lanT is more offensive so is preferred. thund switchin appreciated so that could be a lati, goodra, raikou, clef, mamo, or hmmm maybe somethin fun,,,, thunt! actually thatd require a defogger and only skarm n lati fit but lati makes u mamo weak.... ok so fuck thunt maw nite lati lant ninja + last mon.
prolly usin orb loom cuz it deals w sharp while allowing u to not get 6-0d by gliscor, even tho its a p shit mon (better assuming aeg leaves)

onto sableye. i would personally use it as a full on phys tank since most special attacks are killin it, and the weak ones r fairy type :{|} I rlly like this in kanga meta on stall since it switched into a buncha shit and stopped spins from exca. most balloon exca cant do shit about this so thnx 4 bringing this up, this can be a very antimeta mon. things that trouble it -- special mons, azu, maw, and fires. tired of usual cores so gonna experiment a bit w this one. rest cune + hippo seem like they put in wurk vs this shit, seeing as tran catn switch into knock forever but cune switches into tran 4ever. hippo just there for general fatness, and a mon that appreciates other fires weaknd (mostly tran and maybe some fairies like azu) is zardx, so that can tag along (it's also sand weak so sableye comes in nice,,,,)

Toge is pretty fuckin ass tbh its outclassed by clef in stallbreaking and only rlly has the niche of switching into chomp and most lando since sludge is no longer used. ill jus take advantage of that and slap on a tran and a venu since those 2 grounds force them out and they cover elec steel n poison attacks. rock moves r tough, but i need lant for sand so unless i wanna make it hippo n go full fatty im gona have trouble w terak no matter what. max def venu should kinda suffice as somwat of a check. lati for zardy which rips the 4, defog is also gr8 since toge can come in on bisharp after they take an initial hit from lati(but id go to venu usually) gyara rounds up the batch cuz having another intimidate user is pretty nice, taunt gyara also does work v stall and dents flynig resists on the physical side. also idk how much boosted aura does to rotom but i guess toge can weaken it at least or flinch it to death. yea idk how toge will do but it seems p ass

On the Wind semistall is too general of a concept, im p sure the mew team is a prime example of semistall (or u replace mew w any offensive threat n call it semistall)

Loom + vile i can do, but toge rlly is too ass,,,, weav pursuits lati after something dies so i can omit the steel/fairy type on the team. lando + psychic thund appreciate the removal of lati, while gyara loves those 2 to take care of grass types. taunt gyara also likes to have lati weakened. this team is weak to nite doe cuz it jus clicks espeed. actually its weak to a buncha shit, but fuck it we got a fuckin weavile

Heres the Zone + fairies squad. i dont think zone works best w fairies since only like azu n clef like to have steels gone. but then again its not bad, and allows clef to use stored. shoutout Stathakis for magrise zone to counter exca. tar for sharp n to take advantage of skarm/ferro being taken out.

clef drag drag is very weak to sand so ill toss on a skarm which defogs too. however 2 rock weaks n a slow defogger doesnt look so good so a taunt lead rak is considered. now we need a secondary water check, ninja (kinda) switchin, and thund switchin cuz dont want zard parad. theres gastro! it even helps switch into opposing zard x.

Rosenfeldius i personally dont like having rocks n defog on the same mon cuz its too much pressure and if matchup is bad u get neither rocks or defog (say, vs taunt rak) but yea sub tran is def viable and may even be used over tect

aight to everyone posting so if i respect ur post enuf 2 take 3 mins n make a team then u should reciprocate the fuckin effort and check if a team has already been posted. dont fuckin request 1 standard ass mon in a 1 line post,,, fuck u think u is? be elaborate and intrigue me w ur suggestions.

ctc, can i request a mega scizor offensive team? I could prolly make one, but I,m too lazy and it would take some time. use the set with sd bullet punch, knock off, and roost. i wan it to be a late game sweeper. include a genie or two with the team. can you choose the next five members out of these mons: bd azuamrill, av azuamrill, band azuamrill, lo pursuit bisharp, sash loom, band dnight, lo ninja with hp fire or grass, specs or scarf keldeo, lo lando i or rp lando i, sr lando t or scarf lando t, hw latias or lo latios, lead, band or scarf terrakion, defiant or lo thundy, scarf t tar.

this team looks good: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-ou-8332

Could you make a para shuffle team around Chatot? The Chatot set would probably be max speed just in case something is unable to be paralyzed, and have Chatter, Nasty Plot, Roost, Substitute. It would be a late game sweeper once other pokemon wear down the team with hazards and the move they use to phaze the opponent. One of the best parashufflers i can think of is Dragonite, the Sub Twave Dtail Roost set.

Hey CTC, your teams are godly. That numbered team you gave Joey is laughably brain-dead and your name is always popping up on Blunder and PK's channel. Do you mind trying to make a team around Victini? I've been trying to make a team around it, but have been caught up at work recently. Thanks man, and keep up the good work.

literally the entire reason to use Chatot is because it has the strongest Boomburst in the game, not using it means you should just be using something that doesn't die in a single hit and can't actually kill anything

anyway CTC if you could make a stall team that isn't stupidly fucking passive and uses SpDef Mandibuzz that would be really cool

Mandibuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- U-turn
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt

checks Landorus, Lati@s, Aegislash (for like another day lol), and sometimes Keldeo while still doing well against stuff like Mega Venu, Bisharp, Excadrill, and the other stuff it usually checks. you can change the EVs, I didn't really know what to creep because I suck at OU (although 248/252+ actually lives two consecutive Draco Meteors from Specs Latios which is kind of cool).
also Defog is dumb on a Pokemon with no offensive presence so I'd prefer it on a Latias or something but if you can't find anything else to use it then Defog can probably work over U-turn

yes peiyao it looks good cuz i made it for atticus,,,, or rather made it for myself preparing for him but got FUCKING HAXED AND THEN GAVE IT TO ATTICUS but i digress,,,,
yea im sry chatot + parashuffle,,,,, theres a time and place for everything bruh this aint Nog 's shitass thread about building w the shittiest possible mons so ill pass on that (shots fired,,,,)
Vic looks good since it wont have to worry bout swithin into sballs, so it comes in on most steels. idk wat set is the best tho so u gonn have to give me one Ropeburn
uh Arcticblast as for the non passive stall w the most passive mon (which also lost its biggest niche w aegi ban) i dont rlly get that demand so,,, is this a trick question? i can do like semistall.,,,
also since when did spdef mand check exca sharp keld,,, or r u talkin bout ingame where theyr lvl 74?

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Wood Hammer
- Spiky Shield

Can I get a hazard stacking team involving these 3?

Garchomp can shuffle the Mons around to get the poison and the damage on. Mega or not is up to you, cause I sort of want something offensive to clean up later on, like a Mega Gardevoir or a Mega Medicham. Probably Mega Gardevoir, cause I want that more. Or if something non mega can do that, make Chompy the Mega. EV Spread takes Jolly Mamo Ice Shard+LO HP Ice from Thundy.

Scolipede can stack on the Poison. Protect to get some speed, and Taunt to get other taunters (after pranksters). Sub to get more bulk, maybe block some tricks, maybe BP over Taunt to get it into something else. EVs hit Black Sludge number and outspeed scarf Rotom at +1.

Chesnaught can stack up normal Spikes, and be a physical wall. EVs hit Lefties number and Wood Hammer>Seed Bomb for Azu.

Please add a SR setter and something to deal with flyers/Steels/fairies.

And something to block Hazards.

uh Arcticblast as for the non passive stall w the most passive mon (which also lost its biggest niche w aegi ban) i dont rlly get that demand so,,, is this a trick question? i can do like semistall.,,,

yeah semistall works, also it's a lot less passive than shit like Quag and Chansey from what I've seen/used (brought Quag in last OST and it checked the shit it's supposed to but did literally nothing else -.-)

252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Scald vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Mandibuzz: 145-172 (34.2 - 40.6%)
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Mandibuzz: 199-235 (47 - 55.5%)
yeah I know rocks etc. but it works as a pinch switchin (and you can fucking Roost stall Hydro Pump with lefties) meanwhile Bisharp needs LO + flinches to beat it and Exca needs Rock Slide and takes 73% min from Foul Play
EDIT: it just occurred to me that Roost stalling is incredibly passive but I'm just trying to back up the calc there okay okay

What an absolute lord.
If it's viable enough to be built around, do you think you could make a Double Dance Land-T team? After seeing Chimp choke with it back in the day, I've always wanted to see someone make another team with it, since I haven't been able to form a good one myself. Balance or Offense, but not HO or Stall is what I think would be ideal.

EDIT: Also, if you have any DD-Wisp ZardX teams, I'd like one. Thanks :]

Could you make a team around a defensive rhyperior? I've tried to make a balanced team with it as a Zard-x check and to man handle common phys attackers, the team itself was p bad though.. (would be cool if you can throw in a quick build process if I wanted to make a rhyperior team later on my own :]) Used it over Hippo because of its greater offensive presence and ability to threaten defog users.

Here's the set:

Rhyperior @ Leftovers

I've never been all that impressed by Mega Garchomp but I've decided to give it one last shot before I start shitting on it in the viability ranking thread. Can you build a Sand team based around mixed Mega Garchomp with a little explanation of your team building process?

Aight so why the fuck Solrock?? Part of it might have to do with you touching yourself, but mostly because it has some surprisingly solid (heh) niche roles that it just happens to be outclassed in almost every single one, HOWEVER it's the only mon I can think of anyway that has them all at once. Solrock counters Mega Pinsir and Talonflame both (so does Rotom-W but w/e), has access to Will-O-Wisp (yeah Rotom-W again) and Stealth Rock (fuck you Rotom, but yeah Heatran) as well as instant Recovery (literally the only advantage this thing has over above shit mentioned) so yeah it's pretty much a top-tier rock. Anyway, this thing does have some decent utility and a few niche roles so it's not totally unusuable, just almost. EVs let it OHKO Mega Pinsir.

Anyway Rocks has some decent synergy with Amoonguss, although most of the attacks Amoonguss is weak to are special and Solrock has shit SDef but let's look past that. The EVs allow it to survive 2 Iron Heads from standard Bisharp so it can Spore the fucker before switching out. Regenerator blah blah you know what Amoonguss does.

Talonflame revenges what will likely kill the other two, be it Greninja or one of the Zards or Mega Gard or what have you, and is literally the only thing keeping the three together. Plus Solrock and Amoonguss cover Talonflames rock, electric, and water weaknesses so that's not half bad for burd.

I don't really give a shit about the sets, especially Talonflame's, but that's pretty much the only set Solrock is capable of running so I woudn't do much there. Idk if you can even do anything with this but I kind of really want to see the result. Again idk what you'd do for the mega, I'm thinkin mega man but w/e

I_am_A_Garchomp i dont think muilti mon spikestack works esp w tspikes bein so ass this gen. look at ur core a defog lati just shits on all 3 so ill jus save u and i both some time
and heres a vic squad. i think due to zard its more common to physically check fire types, so i went w uturn special since the usual special fire switch is lati or like goodra and bisharp just traps them. vic n hera also have good synergy as u can uturn out of tars trans n nites to just fire off ridiculous moves w bug. team is slow but demolishes fat shit

afterburn that rhyp is borin looks like its time to use rp rhyp,,,, shake got #1 w rp rhyperior back in the day when xy first came out, shits a threat. but as for fat rhyp builds,,, hmm go with a mon that tanks sand teams, rotom or skarm, water resists, loom/venu resists, and perhaps a heavy hitter or two that r weak to flying so u can abuse rhyp's strength
imma go w a more offensive rhyp + 2 mons that hate bird aka pins and keld. sd sedge does like 70 to skarm and sub beats counter/eq beats roost. rhyp also comfortably puts landt into pinsir range, while chipping away at offensive teams by subbing on talon. or u can rock out and go rp rhyp w either lefties or lo n jus smash shit (which sounds pretty dope for this team) a jolly nature is needed for ninja at +2

yea been meaning to use megachomp (it was actually on my first rain team when xy just came out) but its preeeeetty shit. the special set in sand does seem scary tho seeing as very few things can switch into it. so yea this shit breaks exca checks n counters and sd exca just proceeds to shit on things. nuff sed. return on exca is for rotom, but u can do rslide if u wwanna like revenge nite or get more damage on skarm or w/e

Okay CTC, I quit with building this shit, I make a team, it looks great, I use it looks good for the first three battles then it fails MISERABLY.
I would like to request you make me a HO team with Mega Mawile and Scarfchomp. I would also appreciate it if you explain to me how you builded the team and what made you pick the other pokemon. Also please explain how it works and how you made it work. By the way, here are the sets I want you to use, but you can change the EV spreads and moves of both pokemon.

I'm really in love with LO offensive scolipede. It cleans up teams really well, only common problems it has (after a bit of wearing down) are landos, gliscor, skarm, thundy, and talon off the top of my head. Some sort of hazard stacking offense that can handle those mons would be neat.

Appreciate the response fren, and RP Knock is something I wanted to try too since I saw it on Land-I anyway.

Also, a couple questions about the Power Rangers team:
1. Is there it can be adapted to a post-Deo meta?
2. What's the real utility of Sneak on ninja on this team?

Finally, do you think SubCham with STAB+Elemental Punch can form a sort of core with CM Land-I, maybe with Scoli passing to patch their speeds up?
