Team Rocket Returns! (Warstory)

No matter how many times they tried, Team Rocket's schemes never seemed to work. World domination was always one Pokemon Master away, and Pikachu was always right out of their grasp. It would almost seem that there was a force against them - evil could only go so far before the forces of good put it down, and peace reigned once again.

Dismayed and angry, Team Rocket once again came up with a new scheme: to rule Shoddy Battle once and for all! Under the alias "Rocket Returns," and with the combined forces of Jesse, James, and Giovanni, I set out to help them achieve their dream. Weak challengers fell before our might, and after taunting the main chat, a stronger foe, TTS, arose to the challenge. Could Team Rocket finally have a breakthrough?

This is their story.

Team Rocket's Forces of Evil:
Giovanni's Pokemon:

James' Pokemon:

Jesse's Pokemon:

TTS' Team of... Justice? (In order of appearance)

Rocket Returns' (me) will be in red, TTS' Pokemon will be in blue. Nicknames have been removed for convenience, and Leftovers have been removed after first mention. Comments will be in bold. This is my first warstory too so I apologize if there are formatting errors.

Rules: Evasion Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause

Rocket Returns sent out Persian (lvl 100 Persian ?).
TTS sent out Roserade (lvl 100 Roserade ?).
Persian used Fake Out.
A critical hit!
Roserade lost 100% of its health.
TTS's Roserade fainted.

TTS: ...
TTS: ._.

Persian stretched out its claws and Faked Out TTS' Roserade - so much so, that it simply couldn't take it and fainted. Things were looking good so far for Team Rocket!

6-5

TTS switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
Metagross used Bullet Punch.
Persian lost 56% of its health.
Metagross lost 10% of its health.
Persian used Hypnosis.
Metagross fell asleep!

I knew Bullet Punch wouldn't OHKO, and it would greatly benefit me for the metallic beast to be asleep.

Persian used U-turn.
Metagross lost 12% of its health.
Rocket Returns switched in Arbok (lvl 100 Arbok ?).
Metagross is fast asleep!

TwoFaced has entered the room.

Jesse quickly sends out Arbok to destroy the sleeping robot.

Arbok used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Metagross lost 56% of its health.
Metagross is fast asleep!

Bam! The ground shakes, taking over half of Metagross' health.

TTS switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).

It doesn't affect Gyarados...

Desperate to save Metagross and seeing that Arbok is Choice Banded, TTS sends out Gyarados.

Rocket Returns switched in Weezing (lvl 100 Weezing ?).
TTS switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).

The switching continues.

Rocket Returns switched in Persian (lvl 100 Persian ?).
Metagross woke up!
Metagross used Explosion.
Persian lost 44% of its health.
Rocket Returns's Persian fainted.
TTS's Metagross fainted.

I knew that since Metagross was low on health it would explode, so I sent out Persian, who was half dead anyway.

TTS switched in Garchomp (lvl 100 Garchomp ?).
Garchomp used Substitute.
Garchomp lost 25% of its health.
Garchomp made a substitute!
Chimecho used Icy Wind.
It's super effective!
The substitute took damage for Garchomp!
Garchomp's substitute faded!

Garchomp tries to set up on my trump card, James' Chimecho, but its efforts are quickly stopped by a cool blast of air.

For those curious, I used a Psychic/Icy Wind/Recover/Thunder Wave set. The EVs let it oustpeed Salamence and Adamant Garchomp after an Icy Wind drop for a solid 2hko.

TTS switched in Tyranitar (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
Chimecho used Icy Wind.
Chimecho's attack missed!
The sandstorm rages.
Chimecho is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chimecho lost 6% of its health.

It's not very effective...
Machamp lost 38% of its health.
Tyranitar lost 10% of its health.

Machamp is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Machamp lost 6% of its health.
Machamp's leftovers restored its health a little!
Machamp restored 6% of its health.

TTS: go Machamp
TTS: :D

Chimecho couldn't stand a chance against Tyranitar - thankfully it didn't carry Pursuit.

TTS switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Machamp's attack!
Machamp used Dynamicpunch.
It's not very effective...
Gyarados lost 21% of its health.

The sandstorm rages.
Gyarados is buffetted by the sandstorm!

It's super effective!
Gyarados lost 51% of its health.

Gyarados used Waterfall.
Weezing lost 27% of its health.
Weezing used Will-o-wisp.

Weezing restored 6% of its health.

TTS switched in Infernape (lvl 100 Infernape ?).
Weezing used Sludge Bomb.

Infernape used Flamethrower.
Weezing lost 73% of its health.
Rocket Returns's Weezing fainted.
Infernape lost 10% of its health.

Poor Weezing. =[

3-4

Rocket Returns switched in Chimecho (lvl 100 Chimecho ?).
Infernape used Flamethrower.
Chimecho lost 63% of its health.
Infernape lost 10% of its health.
Chimecho used Thunder Wave.
Infernape is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
The sandstorm rages.
Chimecho is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chimecho lost 6% of its health.
Chimecho's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chimecho restored 6% of its health.

TTS switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Kingler used X-Scissor.
It's not very effective...
Gyarados lost 20% of its health.
Kingler lost 10% of its health.

You're probably wondering - why X-Scissor? Crabhammer has crappy accuracy, and combined with Brightpowder + Sand Veil, wasn't that likely to break Garchomp's sub.

Kingler used X-Scissor.
It's not very effective...
Gyarados lost 7% of its health.
TTS's Gyarados fainted.
Kingler lost 10% of its health.

2-2

TTS switched in Garchomp (lvl 100 Garchomp ?).
TTS switched in Tyranitar (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
Kingler used Crabhammer.
It's super effective!
A critical hit!
Tyranitar lost 90% of its health.
TTS's Tyranitar fainted.
Kingler lost 10% of its health.

I predicted that he would either switch to drain my HP from Life Orb, as X-Scissor wouldn't OHKO Tyranitar, or attack Kingler who was only at around 60% health. Turns out it paid off.

2-1

TTS switched in Garchomp (lvl 100 Garchomp ?).
Garchomp used Substitute.
Garchomp lost 25% of its health.
Garchomp made a substitute!
Kingler used Crabhammer.
Kingler's attack missed!

Rocket Returns: My time has run out

I predicted that he'd just attack me since I was already near dead, which cost me - although, Earthquake would probably have killed me off anyways.

1-1

Garchomp used Earthquake.
Kingler lost 40% of its health.
Rocket Returns's Kingler fainted.

TTS: Indeed!

Rocket Returns switched in Arbok (lvl 100 Arbok ?).
Garchomp used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
Arbok lost 100% of its health.
Rocket Returns's Arbok fainted.

0-1, TTS wins!

Arbok just couldn't take it - deciding the match.

The forces of evil are yet again destroyed - but not without a fight!

Props:
- Persian for killing Roserade
- Chimecho for stopping an Infernape sweep, blocking Garchomp... and being awesome
- Kingler for *almost* cleaning things up at the end
- A close match with a gimmick team!

Slops:
- Weezing was pretty useless.
- Gyarados for killing Machamp while confused
- Garchomp is mean =[

Overall it was a great battle, and I hoped you enjoyed it.

And, in summary:
Rocket Returns: TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

In the beginning, you really were outplaying talking toilet seat, but you kind of made a couple dumb sacrifices that sealed his win.

Theme teams are fun. Especially since the anime people usually use shitty Pokemon (I mean, they're all good if you use love!), so you have to be creative.

Yay yay yay!

Great job on the story dude, nice to see some UU vs OU action. And of course, neither of you two played badly. Great efforts, was an excellent read.

Very nice warstory. I always find warstory containing theme teams to be fun to read.

Nice battle. Crabhammer sucks though. Too bad Kingler didn't get Waterfall.

What Persian were you using? I understand Roserade's defenses suck, but Persian's attack sucks, so I don't see how you could have made the OHKO even with a CH.

Overall, it was very good. Espically the intro. Makes me want to download Shoddy.

Giovanni also had a Mewtwo... that would have helped you win, lol..

Anyway I liked the warstory. Too bad you lost, but it was a very close match.

tech boosted fakeout is 60 BP stab makes it 90 BP CH makes it 180 BP so...the massive base power of the move simply overwelms roser's defenses dispite persians crappy attack stat

Oh, forgot about Technician and STAB.

Jesse and James also got Charizard and Aggron for a single episode. That might has worked.

Nice job for a first warstory. Far better than what I could have done.

Very nice battle, enjoyable to read, not too long (i.e. stall war taking up half the time). I liked how well you fared against an extremely OU team. Nice work, hope you decide to write some more warstories.

I considered using Mewtwo for a bit but other uber teams would blow me away.

Posting stories that you won seems like bragging, if I won you'd probably not be reading this =P

It was in one of the 1s season episodes.. Jesse and James took over his gym for awhile, and were allowed to use the pokemon he had in stock: A rhydon, a machamp, and a Kingler.

You could have used Cloyster or Cacturne, which would seem better but you can't take out Machamp or Kingler, nor Persian/Arbok/Weezing as those are the original TR etc etc

I was ok but i wanted to see lickylicky XD. Well i know that technically she had lickitung but put that jesse decided to train some of her weaklings or something. other wise

8.5/10
