TLR Begin!

RUINED EDEN


Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down and see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive buildup of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock.

Scattered throughout the wreckage, you see some indications that humans once lived here but that a cataclysm had occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilisation. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at one point been a pillar of civilisation but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumours of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first?

Amperage Stream - Amperage Opening

Pointing your finger towards the stream, you decide that the best path to take from the vista is to go towards Amperage Stream, ready for the storm that had engulfed the area...

The walk through the forest to Amperage Stream was fairly pleasant, and not much troubles were caused. Eventually, after walking for a good fifteen minutes, you find yourself at the beginning of Amperage Stream. The stream itself was very shallow and was shaped as if it was a dead end for the water. There is a passage going up beside the stream, and there was another passage going through thick forest, but before you could make a decision, you hear rustling about. You look around, when suddenly, a Chinchou and an Electrike pounce, thinking you are an intruder! As a result you are forced to send in your Pokémon in defence, and the battle was on!

Restrictions: None.

Description: The battle takes place at the "beginning" of Amperage Stream, which also is the shallowest point of the stream, albeit deep enough to dive in. There are also grassy patches surrounding the stream beginning.

Getting onto business, you steam-roll through and dismantle the lackey set-up. On the other hand the attacks managed to deal a lot of damage to the Tangrowth and the Necturna got paralysed after one of her attacks on the Electrike. At least the Chinchou is asleep.

Amperage Stream - River Split

Continuing on your current path, you are forced to take a man-made bridge after a pile of rocks blocked the current path just after where the bridge crossing point is situated. Crossing the bridge, you seem to set foot on a mini-island in the middle of the stream, splitting the stream into two for what feels like only 200 metres. At this point there appears to be two paths to take forward, with a canopy of trees right ahead of you creating the path. Over the mild, gushing noise of water meandering down the stream at a slow rate, you faintly hear the sound of something taking a drink to the left. To the right, you seem to hear the sound of splashing. Time to make a decision. Which path do you take?

Reckoning that the splashing to the right is too dangerous to consider, you head down the path to the left of you. After walking for roughly 50 metres slightly downhill, you notice an innocent Buizel standing in a small watering hole to the right through the canopy of the trees. It is directly accessible from the path without having to navigate through the canopy and on further examination, you notice what appears to be a Potion laying near the watering hole; seemingly dropped by some trainer. You could approach and grab it but you are concerned that you may grab the attention of the Buizel. On the other hand, you may just ignore it, move on and given there is no turning back—with jumping into the stream a bad idea—a decision needs to be made. What will you do?

Amperage Stream - River Split

Not interested in the potion, you continue on your current path when suddenly, some rustling occurs and two Buizel pop out of the stream and block your path! One of the two lets out a battle cry and before you know it, as you turn around, the Buizel you saw earlier blocks the way back! You are now surrounded and will have to take on the three if you want to escape.

Restrictions: None.

Description: The battle takes place alongside the stream itself. The water is a few metres below, but it is nothing that those who want to use it cannot reach.

That said, your team weathers the surprisingly accurate Blizzard storms well and recovers off some of the damage pretty well, taking out a Buizel in the process. Two remain however.
