There's a reason this set isn't on the analysis--it's actually a move incompatibility. Gliscor only learns Defog in Gen IV by HM, while Poison Heal is its Hidden Ability. You'll have to run Sand Veil.Defog Gliscor
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP/ 8 Def/ 200 SpD/ 56 Spe
Careful Nature
-Roost
-Defog
-Earthquake
-Knock Off/ Toxic
This set derives from the analysis' specially defensive stallbreaker set, but runs Defog over Taunt. It functions similarly to defensive Mega Scizor, being a bulky defogger that isn't weak to rocks and has a solid defensive typing. Roost and Defog are self-explanatory, and Earthquake provides a useful STAB. Knock Off works in the last slot as a way to cripple opposing Pokemon and prevent Gliscor from being walled by flying-types and levitate-users, while Toxic can cripple switch-ins.
Tl;dr It accomplishes specially defensive Gliscor's task of being a bulky wall, but uses Defog over Taunt.
Isn't this just a sd that u switch out of, though? I guess it works well against unaware mons, but the trade-off of being otherwise completely inferior doesn't seem worth it.Screech Gliscor
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 56 Def / 204 Spe
Careful Nature
- Screech
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Roost
General idea: The only change with this moveset is the addition of Screech, a status move which enables Gliscor to force switch-outs maximizing the two attacks it runs even without the EVs investment which can be used mainly for longevity and speed. It is much more useful if you can drop some layer of hazards to pressure the opponent between the decision to stay-in or switch. Simple but effective and 85% accuracy is worth the risk to miss.
EVs spread: The EVs are almost the same of the physical defensive set on the calculator (bar HP which reaches a Poison Heal number and Spe which runs 4 more EVs than the usual spread) which I think are interesting because allows this thing to outspeed something reaching 277 speed while having the bulk to use Screech one or two times.
Team(mates) support: hazards are the best friends of this Gliscor which has to force switches between the bulk with automatic recovery and Screech.
Because Gliscor can switch-out after the Screech thus supporting another teammate. Screech can be used as a Swords Dance if Gliscor stays in as a standalone attacker but, generally, you have to see it as a way to support your attackers.Isn't this just a sd that u switch out of, though? I guess it works well against unaware mons, but the trade-off of being otherwise completely inferior doesn't seem worth it. Acid spray is used on tenta because it doesn't have an actual boosting move.
