Cleaner Latios

Latios (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 HP / 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock

The goal of this set is to setup Substitutes and Calm Minds until the Salac Berry activates. After that, it'll be able to outspeed and KO a couple of weakened opposing mons with relative ease and even some healthy would-be checks such as ScarfChomp and Knock Off Thundurus (at +1). Furthermore, Subtitute helps Latios by ignoring status inducing moves (Thundurus' Prankster T-Wave for example) and making it easier to reach Salac range (30 HP IV instead of 29 makes Latios' HP stat divisible by 4, which means only 3 Subs are needed to activate Salac Berry).

Of course, Latios will need Steel-types and Pursuit trappers such as Bisharp and ScarfTar gone before pulling off his trick. This is where Fighting-type partners such as Keldeo can come in handy by KOing those threats, paving the way for Latios. Fairies, especially Hyper Voice users (M-Gardevoir, M-Altaria, Sylveon, etc.), are also a problem due to their ability to hit through substitutes (and for being super effective against Latios). For these specific threats, it's nice to have a Steel-type partner such as [Mega] Scizor to easily KO these mons, making Latios' job way easier.

Many great sets out there! I hope this set is not total garbage (like my attempt with Gyara lol)!

GnralLao Wouldn't having a 31 HP IV and 4 HP EVs be better than 30 HP IVs and 4 in S.Def? Other than that nice set. Edit: Nvm I failed.

Edit: firehusky is there any reason you missed off my set, or did you just not see it?

31 HP IV and 4 HP EVs gives Latios 302 HP, which is not divisible by 4 and therefore, Latios would need four Subs instead of three to reach Salac range. The two closest HP stats that are divisible by four are 300 and 304 (when 252 SpA / 252 Spe Evs are used). To obtain 300, Latios needs 30 HP IV and 0 HP EVs. To obtain 304 though, Latios needs 31 HP IV and 12 HP EVs, missing on crucial points in SpAtk/Speed.

Anti lead Jirachi:

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
252 HP, 72 atk, 184 spe
Jolly nature

- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Body Slam
- Iron Head

Rachi has a scarf set and a SR set, but how about combining them? Trick allows you to mess up non mega leads, while after they're locked in uselessness you can set up SR. Body Slamis used to abuse serene grace for parahax and allows you to do stuff it you can't trick for whatever reason, unlike T-Wave. Iron head is for flinch + parahax, going great with body slam and being good with a scarf if trick + SR is currently useless. The EVs outspeed max scarf Lando-T, with attack as the dump stat.

~Psych Up Rachi~

latest

Jirachi @ Shuca Berry / life orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Psych Up
- Psyshock
- Moonblast / Flash Canon
- Hidden Power Fire / Water Pulse

This set is made to beat calm minders by let them set up and surprise them with psych up.
The spread allows jirachi to outspeed timid heatran, that way you don`t get revenge killed by him (or her).
Psyshock is mandatory, so you can beat most calm minders; moonblast is for M-Sableye, but flash canon is stab; finally hidden power is for ferro, but water bulse is for heatran. About the item, I like Shuca Berry more since It allows Rachi to not get revenge killed by ground moves, but life orb gives him (or... her? I don`t really know) more utility.
This set also applies versus Dragon Dancers, such as Dragonite and M-altaria, but with different spread and move pool (obviously).

I've been using a fun Jirachi set lately that isn't too far off from a semi-standard pivot set but has its own little twist. I present to you Healing Wish Jirachi:

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SpD / 80 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Healing Wish

The EVs are to outspeed Adamant Diggersby, as well as Adamant Bisharp and Jolly Tyranitar. The rest is dumped in HP and SpDef for the bulk to take on stuff like Mega Gardevoir and also makes it super easy to U-turn out of Magnezone. This has been working great for me on a hyper offense build where Jirachi usually sets up rocks, comes in again later in the match to tank a hit / wall something and then Healing Wish a sweeper back up.

A scarf set with fire punch over SR seems much more better at abusing healing wish in my opinion, as jirachi may be KOed before it can use healing wish. Other users such as latias pack a decent speed tier (110), so they don't have a use for scarf. Afaik, healing wish Jirachi is already a thing though, so you might want to come up with another entry. Sorry bout that.

Trick Room Support

Jirachi @ Mental Herb / Air Balloon / Iron Plate / Life Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Healing Wish / U-turn
- U-turn / Stealth Rock
- Iron Head

Jirachi has a nice niche as a Trick Room setter in that it can use Healing Wish to give its teammates opportunites to come in and it is also one of the few setters with access to U-turn or Stealth Rock. Iron Head synergizes well with Trick Room so that Jirachi can flinch faster threats and it can provide a slow U-turn for the team versus Pokemon that "outslow" it.

Jirachi has a lot of options with its item slot. Mental Herb prevents Taunt for a turn, which is especially useful if it decides to run three status moves. Air Balloon gives it more Pokemon to set up on and removes a common weakness until it gets hit. The choice between Iron Plate and Life Orb depends on whether you want Jirachi to die on its own and allow for an opportunity for a teammate to come in or whether you want longevity for Jirachi.

For other options on the set, you could try running Fire Punch or Magic Coat if you have SR support covered and don't need U-turn to pivot, but these options are difficult to fit.

I thought it just had to be not a standard set. TBH I've seen CM + Draco Latios which you accepted last round and the anti-lead Jirachi in this round as well although neither is common or standard by any means. I know Healing Wish Jirachi is a thing but there isn't a standard set for it that I know of, and this version is bulky enough to get off a HW, speed is not the only way to successfully use it.

If you want to reject my entry then I won't argue any further though.

Introducing SubPup Rachi

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Power-Up Punch
-Substitute
-Iron Head
-Wish / Thunder Punch

Ok so sets up on a lot of mons like Ferro and stuff, also you throw up a Sub vs Bisharp and proceed to PuP. Sub is kinda good for blocking revenge kills etc, also lets you set up on Ferro cuz max HP always tanks Gyro Ball. Max speed obviously and max HP,,, also Iron Head for hax. Wish is good in last slot so you don't kill yourself on Ferro(warning: +6 PuP is only a 2hko) but you can run any random punch there like Fire Punch for Doublade and Thunderpunch for Bro and Ice Punch for anything else. Not too bad set IMO,,, 60% = 100% just make sure you can get up a lot of PuPs.
