Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake

Torterra makes as a fantastic answer to double dance Rhydon. Combined with it's high physical bulk, resisting EdgeQuake and comfortably taking it out with Wood Hammer/Earthquake. Even after multiple atttack boosts, it's never going to break Torterra! Synthesis keeps you nice and healthy too.

252+ Atk Rhydon Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Torterra: 63-74 (15.9 - 18.7%) -- possible 8HKO after Leftovers recovery

You can alternatively invest 64 SpA if you want to ensure an OHKO without Stealth Rock, but that seems a little unnecessary.

Prinplup can either come in on an SD and proceed to OHKO with Scald, as both Stone Edge and Earthquake fail to 2HKO it. And if it comes in on an SD, it still is able to take EQ and SE while killing it with Scald. This makes it a very hard check.

Modest Ebelt Rotom-Fan is a great way to lure in those Rhydon's that don't fear either of your STAB's. Modest hits like a truck and easily OHKO's the dual dance Rhydon:
252+ SpA Expert Belt Rotom-S Hidden Power Grass vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 374-442 (106.2 - 125.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Edit: Very decent check since it cannot switch into a Stone Edge but checks it offensively with HP grass

Modest Ebelt Rotom-Fan is a great way to lure in those Rhydon's that don't fear either of your STAB's. Modest hits like a truck and 2hko's the defensive set:
252+ SpA Expert Belt Rotom-S Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Eviolite Rhydon: 254-302 (61.3 - 72.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I'd call this a pretty solid counter tbh.
The first calc was pointless since this is only for dual dance Rhydon, and it is certainly not a counter since if it switches into Stone Edge or Rock Polish it loses. It's a decent check, but a counter has to be able to switch in multiple times like Quagsire or Torterra.

Lilligant @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power Rock
- Healing Wish

Lilligant was already posted before, but LO Lilligant can't switch into a Rock Polish as it is always OHKOed after SR + 1 Life Orb which is more than likely to happen. Scarf Lilligant though outspeeds a +2 Rhydon which means Rhydon cannot hope to set up a sweep when it is still alive. Can switch into an EQ in a pinch, taking roughly 45%, and I don't think I need to calc Leaf Storm or Giga Drain as they both OHKO Rhydon

Literally Poliwarth is unable to touch it thanks to being immune to scald and focus blast and Ice beam does next to nothing even without any special defense investment. And Frillish is able to whittle down Poliwrath with a combination of Will-O-Wisp and Night shade while recover keeps you healthy.

Rosy resists polis dual stab and can take scalds easily due to natural cure. It can pretty easily switch in to it since ice beam can't 2hko after rocks and it can threaten it out with stab giga drain. Reliable recovery and a great typing make it a pretty solid check, 60 speed is for max speed adamant rhydon.

252+ SpA Life Orb Poliwrath Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Eviolite Roselia: 109-130 (35.9 - 42.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Pelipper is a pelican-like Pokémon with no discernible neck. Its head and bill make up the majority of its body. It has white feathers, a yellow underbelly, and a blue head crest. Its large wings have three digits and blue wing tips. It has small, blue webbed feet, a short tail, and eyes that are made of two black semi-circles. It has a large bill and a throat pouch that it uses to carry small Pokémon and eggs and scoop food from the sea. It searches for food by skimming across the wave tops. After scooping the food, Pelipper swallows it in one big gulp. It builds its nest on steep cliffs facing the sea.

Pelipper is a Water/Flying-type Pokémon with 60 base HP, 50 base Attack, 100 base Defense, 85 base Special Attack, 70 base Special Defense and 65 base Speed. Its Egg Groups are Water 1 and Flying.

Also it wins vs Poliwrath no problem, here you go with the calcs:

252+ SpA Life Orb Poliwrath Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Pelipper: 84-100 (26 - 30.9%) -- 6.1% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
4 SpA Pelipper Hurricane vs. 112 HP / 0 SpD Poliwrath: 228-270 (65.3 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Vile @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature

- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb

I know this is pretty much shaneghoul's suggestion w/o natural cure, but 1) I like Vileplume a lot better than Roselia in general and 2) with both Giga Drain and Synthesis, scald burns aren't much more than a small nuisance, so I figured I might aswell post this. SpD Vileplume seems actually pretty decen't currently. Effect Spore is a really good ability and the ability to sleep powder incoming threats, the dual stabs and the reliable recovery are really, really nice. Ice Beam deals 41.2 - 48.5%, so if you click Giga drain, Synthesis or Sleep Powder (and don't miss), you're good to go vs. Poliwrath as it can't 2HKO.

4 SpA Vileplume Giga Drain vs. 112 HP / 0 SpD Poliwrath: 192-228 (55 - 65.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Ludicolo Giga Drain vs. 112 HP / 0 SpD Poliwrath: 299-354 (85.6 - 101.4%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

Ludicolo is a check. It gets KOed by high rolls from Focus Blast + Vacuum Wave but can switch into Poliwrath's other moves easily. It has semi recovery in Giga Drain so it isn't worn down so easily. The best part of it is that even if Poliwrath is a Rain Dance variant, Ludicolo still checks it thanks to its own Swift Swim

252+ SpA Life Orb Poliwrath Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mega-Audino: 153-181 (37.3 - 44.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

So Audino can take two Focus Blasts and proceed to set up in this thing's face - the only slight annoyance is Focus Blast's SpD drop chance, but it only happens 21% of the time so Poliwrath will likely only get one or two before it runs out of PP. Can't be considered as a counter since if it switches in before Mega-evolving it gets OHKO'd by Focus Blast.

Stunfisk is here to save the day thanks to it's high bulk, electric/ground typing which resists is stab gear grind and it's highly useful ability static. Return is only dealing around 20% so even after multiple boosts it's going to have a really hard time breaking this. Klinklang also has to worry about static if it ever wants to attack while Stunfisk can cleanly take Klinklang out with a super effective Earth Power for a 2HKO.

Poliwrath is a pretty solid answer to klinklang, it resists it's main stab and doesn't take too much from return, especially with leftovers. With scald it can guaranteed break the sub and then proceed to phase it out with circle throw while doing good damage. If it gets too low it can just rest off the damage since it has a 2/3 chance to get an attack with sleep talk.

Quagsire is the ultimate counter to Klinklang. Takes little to no damage from Gear Grind, takes return very well and on top of all of that, it ignores any boosts it has acquired thanks to Unaware. Quagsire also heals off any damage it takes with recover. In return, Quagsire hits Klinklang with Earthquake and can attempt to burn it with Scald, as well as set up Curse if it's running the move.
