[OVERVIEW]

Watchog is a horrible Pokemon, as it can only function as a wallbreaker that is heavily outclassed by other Normal-types such as Stoutland and Ursaring due to many of them having higher Speed and more attacking power. This, combined with its mediocre all-around stats, prevents Watchog from being an effective wallbreaker. Watchog's terrible defenses, below-average Speed for a wallbreaker, and need to take a hit for Analytic to take effect makes Watchog easy to to wear down or KO with a strong attack.

[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Return
move 2: Low Kick
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Seed Bomb
item: Life Orb
ability: Analytic
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Return is Watchog's STAB attack. Low Kick hits Steel-types, such as Klang and Probopass, which resist Return. Knock Off is helpful for removing Eviolite from Pokemon such as Tangela and Piloswine while also hitting Ghost-types, such as Misdreavus and Gourgeist, which are immune to both Return and Low Kick. Seed Bomb specifically hits Carracosta and Barbaracle, which can otherwise set up on Watchog.

Set Details
========

252 EVs in Attack and Speed along with an Adamant nature allow Watchog to deal the most possible damage while outspeeding as many Pokemon as possible, including Barbaracle. A Jolly nature can be run, however, to outspeed Pokemon such as Stoutland, Articuno, Golduck outside of rain, and Arbok. Life Orb powers up all of Watchog's attacks at the cost of some health. Analytic provides an additional boost to the power of Watchog's attacks if it moves after the foe.

Usage Tips
========

Watchog is, first and foremost, a wallbreaker, so it is best used early in the match to deal out heavy damage to the opponent's team, making it easier for its teammates to clean up. Watchog should avoid coming in on strong attacks due to its bad defensive typing and poor bulk. Instead, Watchog should come in after a teammate has fainted or from a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass from Pokemon such as Probopass and Pelipper. Keep Watchog away from status conditions, such as burn and poison, as they put a damper on its ability to wallbreak.

Team Options
========

Watchog appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Probopass, Roselia, and Piloswine, as it aids Watchog in netting KOs, including a guaranteed OHKO on Regice after Stealth Rock with Low Kick. Paralysis and Sticky Web support from Pokemon such as Grumpig and Leavanny can help Watchog outspeed faster threats. Flying- and Psychic-types such as Kadabra and Dodrio can eliminate Fighting-types for Watchog. Pokemon that can provide slow pivot support such as Probopass and Pelipper are appreciated to prevent Watchog from taking any damage on the switch in. Setup sweepers such as Ninetales and Simipour appreciate Watchog's ability to wear down foes.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Gunk Shot is an option to hit Grass- and Fairy-types, such as Tangela and Clefairy harder. Hypnosis can put an opposing Pokemon to sleep, but its accuracy is unreliable. Toxic can cripple physical walls such as Pelipper, while Thunder Wave can slow down faster threats such as Rapidash and Simisage. Super Fang can be used in conjunction with Toxic to quickly wear down bulkier foes, but Watchog doesn't have the moveslot, much less the bulk, to pull this off. A set consisting of Swords Dance + Baton Pass can be run, but Watchog doesn't have the bulk to utilize it effectively.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Machoke can survive a hit from Watchog and strike back with Close Combat. While it can't directly switch into Low Kick or Return, Monferno can outspeed Watchog and OHKO it with Close Combat.

**Faster Pokemon**: Watchog isn't very fast or bulky, so any Pokemon that can outspeed it and deal heavy damage to it are good ways to handle it. Some examples of these include Quick Feet Ursaring, Simipour, and Raichu.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Pelipper and Gourgeist can take a hit from Watchog, cripple Watchog with a burn by means of Scald in the former's case or Will-O-Wisp in the latter's case, and recover any lost health with Roost and Synthesis, respectively. Tangela can also take any attack from Watchog with relative ease and simply attack with Giga Drain, but it doesn't appreciate having its Eviolite removed by Knock Off.

**Residual Damage**: Being burned can easily render Watchog useless, while being poisoned puts Watchog on a timer. Examples of Pokemon capable of inflicting such status include Misdreavus and Dusknoir. Watchog is also hampered by all forms of entry hazards, which, when combined with Life Orb recoil, can easily weaken Watchog to the point where it can be picked off by priority attacks such as Mightyena's Sucker Punch and Carracosta's Aqua Jet.

A few things:
In the overview you should say why it is outclassed by the others (ie weaker w/o analytic). Also i dont get what you mean in the second line, as it is a wallbreaker so it doesnt need that much support (looking at calcs it only really has like 2 100% counterg). When you say below average speed, clarify that its below average for an offensive mon

Change the name

In moves, you 2HKO roselia so that isnt a knock off target, instead the main one would be tangela as then you can 2HKO it on switch in depending on its spread. Seed bomb is solely to prevent costa/baracle from setting up on you; the best two ground types are hit harder by other moves, water types are only slightly hit harder, and it already has coverage for most other rock types

In SD i think jolly nature should be mentioned as it lets you outspeed stoutland and arbok along with the occasional modest articuno and golduck out of rain

In UT i dont really get what you mean by 'or can be saved late-game once its checks and counters are either eliminated or weak enough for watchog to take out on its own.', since the point of it being a wallbreaker is break walls (duh) and it only has 2 actual counters which is hard to weaken due to regenerator

In OO mention gunk shot, and in c&c mention stuff that burns/poisons watchog

Wow this died, placeholder for check in like 7 hours
TONE114 I did it

In set details, the life orb and analytic entries literally just describe the item/move rather than give any useful information, that can probably be written better

In c&c, mention monferno in fighting types with machoke, it can pick it off when weakened with mach punch and takes a hit and KOs in return as well

Since jolly is relevant enough to be in set details and not OO, I wouldn't put stoutland in faster pokemon, just replace it with ursaring (or some other attacker)

Other than that seems good, not sure why this took almost 3 weeks to check. 2/3

Implemented the suggestions. Analysis is written and is ready for a final check.

"**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Machoke and Monferno can live a hit from Watchog and strike back with their Fighting-type STAB attacks." - Monferno can't take a hit from this but outspeeds and OHKOes it, rephrase this

Sorry for taking so long on this. If you're having trouble implementing this, I can do a c/p version sometime tomorrow morning.

[OVERVIEW]

Watchog is a horrible Pokemon, (AC) as the best it can only do is be function as a wallbreaker, (RC) but and (don't implement the "and" OP. I think this sentence would sound better like this, since it otherwise seems to imply that Watchog is bad because it is a wallbreaker) it that is heavily outclassed by other Normal-types such as Stoutland and Ursaring due to the former two many of (Normal-types) them having higher Speed and more attacking power. This,(AC) combined with its mediocre all-around stats, (AC) hinders Watchog from being an effective wallbreaker. Watchog's terrible defenses, below-average Speed for an offensive offenisve wallbreaker, and needing its (remove "its" OP. "need" is needed for consistency, not "its need") need to take a hit for Analytic to take effect makes Watchog easy to to wear down or KO it with a strong attack.

252 EVs in Attack and Speed along with an Adamant nature allows Watchog to deal out the most possible damage while outspeeding as many Pokemon as possible, (AC) such as including Barbaracle (You can keep "such as" and list more examples, but I feel like "include" or "namely" makes more sense to emphasize the fact that it outspeeds Barbarcle). Life Orb gives of all of Watchog's attacks added power at the cost of some health. Analytic provides an additional boost to the power of Watchog's attacks if it moves after the foe.

First and foremost,(AC) (k so this might be pretty subjective, but I don't think this phrase belongs here. Keep Watchog healthy as away from status conditions (Keeping Watchog "healthy" may also imply keeping Watchog at high health, in which case the sentence really didn't make much sense), (AC) such as burn and poison, (AC) as they puts a damper on its ability to wallbreak.

Team Options

Pokemon that can supply a provide slow pivot support such as Probopass and Pelipper are appreciated to prevent Watchog from taking any damage on the switch in. Gunk Shot is an option to hit Grass- and Fairy-types, such as Tangela and Clefairy harder. Hypnosis can put an opposing Pokemon to sleep, but its accuracy is unreliable. Toxic can cripple physical walls (RC) such as Pelipper, while Thunder Wave can slow down faster threats (RC) such as Rapidash and Simisage. Super Fang can be used in conjunction with Toxic to quickly wear down bulkier foes, but Watchog doesn't have the moveslot space, much less the bulk, to pull this off. A set consisting of Swords Dance + Baton Pass can be run, but Watchog doesn't have the bulk to pull it off utilize it effectively.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Machoke can live survive a hit from Watchog and strike back with Close Combat.

Some examples of this these include Quick Feet Ursaring, Simipour, and Raichu.

[OVERVIEW]

Watchog is a horrible Pokemon, as it can only function as a wallbreaker that is heavily outclassed by other Normal-types such as Stoutland and Ursaring due to many of them having higher Speed and more attacking power. This, combined with its mediocre all-around stats, hinders prevents Watchog from being an effective wallbreaker. Watchog's terrible defenses, below-average Speed for an offensive (or "an offensive Pokemon" I guess, but this implies the existence of defensive wallbreakers, which is kinda weird) wallbreaker, and need to take a hit for Analytic to take effect makes Watchog easy to to wear down or KO with a strong attack.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

252 EVs in Attack and Speed along with an Adamant nature allows allow Watchog to deal the most possible damage while outspeeding as many Pokemon as possible, including Barbaracle. A Jolly nature can be run, however, to outspeed Pokemon such as Stoutland, Articuno, Golduck outside of rain, and Arbok. Life Orb gives powers up all of Watchog's attacks added power at the cost of some health. Analytic provides an additional boost to the power of Watchog's attacks if it moves after the foe.

Usage Tips
========

Watchog is, first and foremost, a wallbreaker, (AC) so it is best used early in the match to deal out heavy damage to the opponent's team, making it easier for its teammates to clean up.

========

Watchog appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Probopass, Roselia, and Piloswine, as it aids Watchog in netting KOes KOs, including a guaranteed OHKO on Regice after Stealth Rock with Low Kick. Paralysis and Sticky Web support from Pokemon such as Grumpig and Leavanny can help Watchog outspeed faster threats. Flying- and Psychic-types such as Kadabra and Dodrio can eliminate Fighting-types for Watchog. Pokemon that can supply a provide slow pivot support such as Probopass and Pelipper are appreciated to prevent Watchog from taking any damage on the switch in.
