Welcome To Chicago (The Windy City) PEAK 1098 (Winning Record)

You know how dEnIsSsS kinda broke the metagame with Baton Pass?
Well. Dean Blaid, PuddlesA1, LMNOhP, and I broke it even further.

All you have to do is train your Pokemon to get the boost.
We've been training in the windy mountains of Chicago for years.

PROOF OF LADDER: http://puu.sh/9chDL.png
We figured we could show how broken the team is by destroying in NU.

Chicago (Spiritomb) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Quiet Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Chicago provides excellent synergy, as it covers Chicago and Chicago's weaknesses. In addition, the RestTalk dual wind attacking set allows it to become a win condition. Chicago is the MVP. The OG Chicago.

Chicago (Vibrava) @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Chicago provides an electric immunity as well as the second win(d) condition on the team. RestTalk dual wind is one of the best sets in the metagame right now, so I'm going to aboose it until it gets suspected.
Chicago is the greatest Dragon of all, friends.

Chicago (Lumineon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Why is Lumineon so bad? Trick question, it's not. Chicago is a threat. We needed a win condition, so we figured the dual wind RestTalk set was what the team needed. We had 5 Pokemon to handle the currents on land, so we needed a Pokemon to handle the underwater currents. This is a real G.

Chicago (Drifblim) @ Leftovers
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Now a lot of you are probably wondering why I chose Chicago over other possible Chicagos like Chicago and Chicago, but Chicago has Aftermath, which opens up sweeping opportunities for Chicago.

Chicago (Shiftry) @ Leftovers
Ability: Early Bird
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Chicago is a tree. A very. BrokenTree. Rest + Early Bird is amazing, since we only have to rely on Sleep Talk once, and we can set up more boosts. The dual wind RestTalk set is so broken on this Pokemon. Ban IMO. JS. KK.

my_little_pokemon__togetic_by_iroppoiichigo-d4f8xyh.jpg

Chicago (Togetic) @ Eviolite
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Chicago is the secret weapon of the team. Serene Grace dual wind RestTalk = GG. Chicago is definitely the best late game sweeper the team has, and we FINALLY HAVE A WIN CONDITION.

I think a fourth ground immunity could be good for the team, so I suggest replacing your RestTalk Dual Winds Shiftry with this RestTalk Dual Winds Tropius:

Chicago (Tropius) @ Insect Plate
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SAtk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Modest Nature
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Chicago provides you with a win condition and a powerful booster.

You have an interesting concept going, with abusing 10% boosting moves, but this team seems to take it a bit too far to be viable in the current metagame, unfortunately.

From first glance, you're a little weak to some threats such as Typhlosion and Pyroar. You don't have much to switch into fire spam in general, because all Lumineon can retaliate with is a Silver Wind or Ominous Wind, both of which are resisted by Pyroar. This is why I suggest at least switching one of the "wind" moves on Togetic with Ancient Power, to at least give you a way to hit them super effectively. Also Baton Pass on Togetic isn't a bad idea either, as you can get the boost and baton pass it to another team mate to continue the "sweep". Togetic also gets several better healing options than Resttalk; including Roost, Softboiled, and Wish. Wish could potentially be used to support the rest of your team, but because its moveset is already getting crowded, you have no room for Protect, and something more reliable is preferred.

In addition, you have no way to beat spike-stacking and hazard spam in general. Therefore, I suggest you put on the most broken Pokemon in the meta at the moment, Defog Mixed Shiftry over the current set. The offensive pressure it applies with Knock Off (in a tier with no Mega) allows it to Defog to remove hazards easily, multiple times per game. Also, because you aren't utilizing hazards of your own, defog has no true negative repercussions. Sucker Punch allows it to get off massive damage on anything faster than it, and Leaf Storm in the last slot can be used to OHKO many common hazard setters such as Seismitoad, Qwilfish, Crustle, and Sandslash.

As cool as Vibrava may look, it is completely outclassed by other dragons that reside in the NU tier. Dragalge does a much better job at switching-in to the offensive types you're trying to protect yourself from by using a defensive Dragon. As an added plus, it also resists Fighting, which is nice as it prevents Sawk from just mindlessly clicking Close Combat every time it comes in. In addition, it can actually keep the offensive initiative that you were trying to achieve with Vibrava, as a Choice Specs set on Dragalge is very viable in NU at the moment. Capable of doing large amounts of damage with it's STAB Attacks, with great coverage with Surf / Hudro Pump and Thunderbolt, it can effectively punch holes and op up sweeping opportunities for other members.

Lumineon in general isn't a very good pokemon, and its only niche, Defog, is already covered on this team. In addition, your team up to this point is very specially-oriented and very slow, so I suggest switching Lumineon to a Floatzel. Floatzel has a couple of cool aspects to it. Boasting the ability Water Veil, it is immune to getting burned, and therefore can switch-in to Scalds and Will-O-Wisps without worry; as well as being able to run a very interesting Switcheroo Flame Orb set - capable of crippling its counter early in the game (such as Siesmitoad or Qwilfish), only to open up a sweep later on. It's speed also allows it to outrun the entire relevant NU metagame, bar Sceptile and Swellow, whom are rather uncommon. STAB Waterfall does a decent amount of damage to pokemon, and with it's high speed, it can also make use of Waterfall's 20% flinch chance. Aqua Jet takes care of other priority users, such as Fletchinder, who otherwise can basically sweep your team. Lastly, Ice Punch provides very nice coverage, hitting Dragalge, and defensive Grass-types.

Lastly, Driftblim is severely outclassed as a special sweeper by Mismagius, who has access to better coverage, and better boosting moves. A simple set of Nasty Plot / Substitute / Shadow Ball / Dazzling Gleam is very effective right now, hitting every thing relevant in the metagame for at least neutral damage, bar Pyroar. once behind a sub, its very difficult to eliminate without the opponent losing 2-3 pokemon in the process - opening up huge holes in their team.

Best of luck with these changes, I hope you can make good use of them and take this team far up the ladder! :)
