With Exp. Share in tow, Vulpix emerges from its trainer's Pokeball. The Pokemon is met by an Alolan red panda, known as "Stufful"; although the Normal-type seems harmless, Vulpix can't help feeling as if Stufful's soft exterior belies a dark malice. Its instincts taking over, the fox springs back and unleashes a sweeping Flamethrower in an arc before it. As the searing heat subsides, Vulpix immediately follows its attack by launching a sizzling, orange orb that explodes in a Burst of lambent Flames. Finally, the small Fire-type spews a gout of Flame(thrower)s before dashing away, hoping to avoid retribution.

Substitutions:
IF Stufful uses Bide, start the action chain Will-O-Wisp - Confuse Ray - Flamethrower, beginning on the action when Bide was used. Play this substitution only once.

Kindness did not like this hostility. No, not at all. He Protects himself. He wished never to fight like this, but he initiates a Rock slide. Again, he was not a fan of conflict, so he Protects himself again. He smelled the flames of hell.

"Vulpix tries an offensive stance, preparing its flames for a barrage of searing attacks. Stufful, however, chooses to go defensive, Protecting itself from two vicious Flamethrowers. With that flammable fluffy exterior, I don't blame the little bear, those look like they would hurt. Taking care not to expend too much energy protecting itself, Stufful opens up its defenses to let loose a Rock Slide; the Vulpix nails it with a Flame Burst in return. The embers fly off of Stufful, leaving pockmarks in the dirt where they landed, searing the soil."

(Vulpix is male.)

Vulpix is weary, and the sight of a malicious, dripping horror is not a pleasant one. The fox doubts its ability hold out much longer, but it's musings are interrupted by a rustle of leaves and the breaking of branches.

Much to its relief, Vulpix sees a familiar face as its ally, an Alolan Vulpix holding an Exp. Share identical to its own, emerges from the depths of the forest and interposed itself between the Kantonian Vulpix and its foe, taking Vulpix's place in the battle. The arctic fox's eyes glow with a pale light as Alolan Vulpix moonBlasts the opposing Grimer with an offensive spell that taps into lunar energy; this grants Vulpix the opportunity to scamper away, retreating from the scene of the conflict. However, like the moon itself the energy used in Alolan Vulpix's last attack begins to wane, prompting the Ice-type to switch tactics, drawing a deep Breath and spitting forth a burst of frigid air and hoarFrost. Fortunately, this brief pause is long enough for the fox's innate magic to recharge, and Alolan Vulpix once more utilizes the Moon's power to attack, repeating its previous Blasting technique.

Substitutions:
IF Moonblast is Disabled when you would use it, use Powder Snow that action instead.

Poison Jab was fired from Greed's grimy, sludgy, gross hands. He doesn't stop, and Disables his opponents ability to blast beams powered up by the moon. Exhaustion comes over the sin, and his leader, Pride the Araquanid looks on with disappointment. He releases one more Poisonous Punch (Jab), and steps back.

Is Ex gone? Damn, I was looking for her! Oh what's this? Neat, a match between Alolan Pokemon!

Vulpix starts by channeling the energy of the moon to send a powerful blast flying towards her opponent! Grimer retaliates with a powerful punch on its own, though his burn is making him weaker. He manages to poison Vulpix!

A chilly wind emanates from Vulpix: it freezes her opponent, though not enough to prevent him from disabling Vulpix's powerful Moonblasts! Sensing that her next attack would fail, she chooses to send a small snowstorm at Grimer, who ends the round with a final poisonous punch!

Grimer is looking pretty weak: can the Vulpix tag-team take home a perfect win, or does Grimer still have a few tricks up his sleeves?

Greed, exhausted and weak, readied itself for one more round. He summons a Rock Slide to bury the Ice-type Vulpix under. He then charges at her with a straight up Bite, just to taste her Icy cold flesh once before going down. He summons yet one more Rock Slide as a farewell.

IF a damaging Fairy type combo, then substitute 15 and push actions.
IF damaging Ice type combo, then substitute15 and push actions.

(I should have mentioned that Alolan Vulpix is also male...)

Despite its gnawing affliction, Alolan Vulpix remains stoic and attacks with a burst of Frosted Breath, then attempts to quickly relocate itself in anticipation of retribution. Following its foe's attack, Alolan Vulpix squeezes through the rocks, leaps onto one, and uses its height advantage to help aim a second strike, once more Breathing out a spray of snow and Frost. Finally, seeing no need to alter its strategy, Alolan Vulpix uses its Frosty Breath to once more chill its foe.
