    Why not?

    [Overview]

<p>Wynaut is one of the only viable trappers in NU, and although it faces competition from Gothorita, it is still very effective in clearing roadblocks for its teammates. Encore gives Wynaut a niche, granting teammates setup opportunities if it locks opponents into harmless moves. Wynaut is also able to quickly get rid of offensive Pokemon and defeat a wide range of foes that it avoids an OHKO from. However, its bulk is only decent at best, and unlike Gothorita, it cannot destroy stall teams and does not have the potential to sweep. It is also a one-time use Pokemon as it has no means of recovery without Wish support.</p>

    [SET]
    name: Why Not in NU?
    move 1: Counter
    move 2: Mirror Coat
    move 3: Encore
move 4: Destiny Bond / Tickle
    item: Eviolite
    ability: Shadow Tag
    nature: Bold
    evs: 152 Def / 136 SpD / 220 Spe

    [SET COMMENTS]

<p>Wynaut's trapping abilities are showcased in this set. It can easily switch into and remove its target after a kill as long as it avoids the OHKO. This set is especially good at trapping Choice-locked Pokemon, as it does not need to predict against them. Counter and Mirror Coat allow Wynaut to take a hit and retaliate hard. However, remember that Ghost- and Dark-types are immune to Counter and Mirror Coat, respectively. Encore forces the opponent to repeat its move and thus reduces the need for prediction for Wynaut. It also punishes walls that use a harmless move by locking them into it and giving Wynaut's teammates a free opportunity to set up. Wynaut's low Speed makes this hard to pull off some of the time, but most walls are even slower. Encore also puts opponents in a bad situation together with Counter and Mirror Coat, as they risk getting KOed if they attack or getting Encored if they use a non-attacking move. Destiny Bond is another fantastic move because it eases prediction against mixed attackers, Substitute attackers, and opponents Wynaut cannot KO back with Counter or Mirror Coat. It is amazing together with Encore, which punishes opponents that use a non-attacking move to play around Destiny Bond. Tickle is another great option and with the support of a Pursuit trapper, it gives Wynaut a way to remove these walls that prevent a teammate from sweeping.</p>

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>The Speed EVs allow Wynaut to outspeed base 50 Speed Pokemon, such as Audino, Regirock, and Metang, and Encore them into useless moves such as Heal Bell and Stealth Rock. The Defense EVs reach a jump point, an efficient level of EVs where Wynaut is granted an extra stat point for free, with the rest of the EVs thrown into Special Defense, allowing Wynaut to take hits all-around and trap a greater range of offensive threats. Wynaut is best used on offensive teams, as it can easily remove their checks and counters. Hence, offensive partners of any kind are useful. Offensive teammates that have a setup move, such as Shell Smash Gorebyss and Swords Dance Scolipede, are especially great, as they can take advantage of Wynaut's Encore to set up. While not necessary, Wish and Heal Bell support is a great bonus, allowing Wynaut to trap several times a match. Lickilicky and Audino share decent synergy with Wynaut and are able to provide this. Pursuit trappers, such as Skuntank and Sneasel, are also great teammates if Wynaut is using Tickle, as they can trap opposing walls as they flee after Wynaut lowers their defenses.</p>

    [Other Options]

<p>Safeguard can be used, giving Wynaut and its teammates status protection and being extremely effective with Encore. It also allows Wynaut to switch into Toxic Spikes without fear. A Custap Berry with Destiny Bond can surprise the opponent, but the loss in bulk is generally too costly.</p>

    [Checks and Counters]

<p>Due to Shadow Tag, Wynaut technically cannot be countered. However, Pokemon with U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass can easily escape from the trap and switch into a Ghost- or Dark-type safely. Examples of such Pokemon are Swellow and Eelektross. Golurk and Drifblim can hit Wynaut with physical attacks while being immune to Counter themselves, and mixed Shiftry and Calm Mind Murkrow can hit Wynaut with special attacks and are immune to Mirror Coat. However, these Pokemon have to watch out for Destiny Bond. Pokemon with Taunt, such as Mandibuzz and Serperior, can shut Wynaut down. Afterwards, Mandibuzz can stall out Wynaut with Toxic, and Serperior can simply set up Calm Mind on it.</p>

    skeleton (open)
    [Overview]

    - Faces competition from Goth
    - Niche is Encore, allows teammates to set up
    - Can get rid of most choice attackers quickly, as long as it isn't OHKOd
    - But bulk isn't that great, can't destroy stall as effectively as goth, nor can it sweep
    - One time use

    [SET]
    name: Why Not in NU?
    move 1: Counter
    move 2: Mirror Coat
    move 3: Encore
move 4: Destiny Bond / Tickle
    item: Eviolite
    ability: Shadow Tag
    nature: Bold
    evs: 152 Def / 136 SDef / 220 Spd

    [SET COMMENTS]

    - Switch it in after a kill into something that needs removing and cant OHKO it
    - Especially good at checking choiced pokemon since it doesn't need to predict eg. Scarf Jynx, Band Sawk, they also can't KO it
    - Counter and Mirror Coat inflict heavy damage, especially when opponent can't switch and is locked into a move
    - Remember, Counter cant hit ghosts, Mirror Coat can't hit dark types
    - Encore forces the opponent to use the same moves, thus no need for prediction
    - screws walls locked into a safe move
    - low speed makes it tough to pull off successfully, though a lot of walls are outsped / can't do much back
    - Also allows for set up opportunities for teammates
    - Destiny Bond helpful vs mixed attackers or unpredictable opponents, great with encore as it can punish opponents that use a non attacking move for fear of a double down
    - however low speed makes it tough to use effectively
    - Tickle lets Wynaut wear down walls, great when paired with Pursuit user

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

    - Speed EVs to outrun min base 50s such as Metang, Regirock, Audino and lock them into non-dangerous moves
    - Defense EVs are a jump point, the rest are out into Special defense to make its defenses as equal as possible
    - Heal Bell and Wish support is cool because Wynaut has no recovery, lets Wynaut trap more than once
    - Lickilicky and Audino have decent synergy and can do so
    - Pursuit users can beat things after Tickled, such as Skunk and Sneasel
    - Offers great support for teammates that set up eg. Gorebyss, SD Scolipede
    - Can kill certain problematic Pokemon eg. Sawk, priority mons, breaks walls with Encore + Tickle. Best used on offensive teams to remove a roadblock

    [Other Options]

    - Safeguard, can give status protection with Encore allowing a teammate to set up. Also allows it to switch into toxic spikes
    - CustapBond will lose a lot of bulk
    - lol

    [Checks and Counters]

    - Technically can't be countered
    - Golurk and AcroBlimp are immune to Counter, pummel it with physical moves
    - Shiftry and Murkrow can use Special moves and immune to Mirror Coat
    - U-turn / Volt Switch / BPass Pokemon eg. Swellow, Eelektross can get out into a ghost / dark type safely
    - Taunt Pokemon eg. Mandibuzz, Serperior can beat it (serp even sets up on it this way)

To be honest, I'd go ahead and drop 8 EVs from SpD and add them to Def to hit a jump point. You lose 2 SpD points, but you gain 3 Def points in the process. Unless, of course, those SpD points are needed to survive a certain attack, but I don't think that's the case here.

    Not real QC etc. etc.
    [Overview]
Niche is Encore, allows teammates to set up
^ It's niche isn't exactly Encore as it's too slow to really use the attack. Encore is just on the set because some other people don't like DBond, however for me DBond works better 100% of the time.

    One time use
^ Not necessarily true as with Wish support it can be used multiple times.

    [Set]
I would make Encore last moveslot and/or slash Destiny Bond onto it.

    [Additional Comments]
Pursuit users can beat things after Tickled, such as Skunk and Sneasel
^ I would remove mention of Sneasel as it's often not bulky enough to switch into a special attacker, and would have to choose between SD and Pursuit to be able to do anything afterwards/go through with the kill.

    Best used on offensive teams
^ This is just incorrect since I have used it much more effectively on Stall. Lots of Wish and Heal Bell support and Toxic Spikes to help the KOs.

    [Other Options]
    Safeguard
^ Worth mentioning that Safeguard can protect Wynaut from status and lock the wall into said status with Encore whilst the Pokemon setting up thanks to the Encore support still cannot be status'd. Safeguard is also very rare.

    [Checks And Counters]
You mentioned U-Turn and Volt Switch lets Pokemon get out of there but so does Baton Pass, so that's worth a mention too.

I'm not willing to move Encore down, because thats Wynaut's best tool to destroy stallmons. I mean, with Encore, you punish Metang, Regirock, Audino, Musharna, Alomomola... Yeah. Meanwhile, destiny bond doesn't really help it at all since there aren't many offensive Pokemon slower than it, meaning it's harder to take advantage of that. I'm pretty adamant that Encore gets the third slot, and I'll only move destiny bond to the set if QC says so.

Not removing Sneasel, because the point is to weaken walls to the point where pursuit kills them and these walls can't do shit anyway. And I would never Tickle an offensive Pokemon so yeah.

Idk why I'd use Wynaut on stall teams because I'd much rather have that slot filled by something that walls and stalls instead of something that's one use and dies unless you get Wish support (which is much harder than you'd think on Wynaut). Anyway, it's definitely better on offensive teams because it can remove a roadblock to the team for it to start sweeping, not sure what exactly it does on stall, but yeah I'd rather use it on offensive teams.

Anyways, I've implemented your points about Safeguard and Baton Pass

Edit: yeah I thought about it and realized that destiny bond helps more vs mixed attackers and ghost or dark Pokemon so it's getting a slash ahead of tickle. Also did the defense jumppoint thing

Not much to say here, mention with Safeguard that it does allow Wynaut to switch in on Toxic Spikes safely.

Mention how Encore + Counter/Mirror Coat puts the opponent in a lose/lose situation, since if they attack they get Counter'd but if not they run the risk of being Encored.

Looks good scorpdestroyer QC Approved 3/3

    [Overview]

<p>Wynaut is one of the only viable trappers in NU, and although it faces competition from Gothorita, it is still very effective in clearing roadblocks for its teammates. Encore gives Wynaut a niche, granting teammates setup opportunities if it locks opponents into harmless moves. Wynaut is also able to quickly get rid of offensive Pokemon, and it can get rid of a wider range of foes a wide range of offensive Pokemon (I might be making this sentence say something different than what you want to say here (make a different change if I am), but this seemed redundant with the two get rid of's/possibly a little confusing) as long as it avoids an OHKO. However, its bulk is only decent at best, and unlike Gothorita, it cannot destroy stall teams nor does it and does not have the potential to sweep. It is also a one-time use Pokemon as it has no means of recovery without Wish support.</p>

    [SET COMMENTS]

<p>Wynaut's trapping abilities are showcased in this set. It can easily switch into the and remove its target after a kill as long as it avoids the OHKO and remove it. This set is especially good at trapping Choice-locked Pokemon, as it no longer needs does not need to predict against them. It also punishes walls locked into that use a harmless move by locking them into it and giving Wynaut's teammates a free opportunity to set up. Even though Wynaut's low Speed makes this hard to pull off some of the time, but most walls are even slower than it anyway. (I think you're still talking about walls here; if not, you might want to add something other than 'some of the time') It Encore also puts the opponent opponents in a bad situation together with Counter and Mirror Coat, as they risk getting KOed if they attack or getting Encored if they use a non-attacking move. Destiny Bond is another fantastic move because it eases prediction against mixed attackers, Substitute attackers, and opponents it Wynaut cannot KO back with Counter or Mirror Coat. It is amazing together with Encore, which punishes opponents that use a non-attacking move to play around Destiny Bond. Tickle is another great option, giving Wynaut something to do against walls, and with the support of a Pursuit trapper, it can remove these gives Wynaut a way to remove walls for the rest of the game preventing its teammates from sweeping (or something like this / a different reason-y thing you like better; remove for the rest of the game just seemed redundant).</p>

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>The Speed EVs allow Wynaut to outspeed base 50 Speed Pokemon, such as Audino, Regirock, and Metang, and Encore them into useless moves such as Heal Bell or and Stealth Rock. The Defensive Defense EVs reach a jump point, an efficient level of EVs where Wynaut is granted an extra stat point for free, with the rest of the EVs thrown into Special Defense, allowing Wynaut to take hits all-around and trap a greater range of offensive threats. Wynaut is best used on an offensive team offensive teams, as Wynaut easily removes it can easily remove their checks and counters. Lickilicky and Audino share decent synergy with Wynaut and are able to do so provide this. Pursuit trappers, such as Skuntank and Sneasel, are also great teammates if Wynaut is using Tickle, as it allows Wynaut to lower the defenses of opposing walls and trap them they can trap opposing walls as they flee after Wynaut lowers their defenses.</p>

    [Other Options]

<p>Safeguard can be used, giving Wynaut and its teammates status protection, (remove comma) and being extremely effective with Encore. It also allows it Wynaut to switch into Toxic Spikes without fear. A Custap Berry with Destiny Bond can surprise the opponent, but the loss in bulk is generally too costly.</p>

    [Checks and Counters]

<p>Due to Shadow Tag, Wynaut technically cannot be countered. However, Pokemon with U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass can easily escape from the trap and go switch into a Ghost- or Dark-type safely. Examples of such Pokemon are Swellow and Eelektross. Golurk and Drifblim can hit Wynaut with physical attacks while being immune to Counter themselves, while and mixed Shiftry and Calm Mind Murkrow can hit Wynaut with special attacks and are immune to Mirror Coat. However, these Pokemon have to watch out for Destiny Bond. Pokemon with Taunt, such as Mandibuzz and Serperior, can shut Wynaut down. Afterwards, Mandibuzz can stall out Wynaut with Toxic, while and Serperior simply sets can simply set up Calm Mind on it.</p>

Done, ready for upload. Can the person who's uploading it also check that the part in the overview about trapping a wide range of foes makes sense? Thanks
