To be honest, I've fallen out of practice of using flavor- but since YellowAdminSilver is still so new, I think I'll put in the extra effort for this match.

Item: Lucky Egg

Flavor: The match starts with an unfavorable type match-up... however, given that the one with a type advantage is just a Magikarp, that's probably not too big of a deal. Bartholomew Roberts starts with his most powerful attack- a hydro pump, which strikes the fire-type Zelda hard, causing her to skid backwards as she stands firm, withstanding the force of the attack. Then, fire in her eyes, she shows that she was doing more than simply withstanding the attack, as Bartholomew's attack suddenly stops, having been disabled by the Vulpix's inherent mystical powers.

No longer able to use his most powerful attack, Bartholomew Roberts instead sends out a stream of bubbles to hit Zelda. At the same time, Zelda creates her own attack- an eerie will-o-wisp meant to burn her opponent. The bubbles come on thick, but the speck of fire weaves through them masterfully, finding the spaces in between the bubbles where it's dry. Finally, the flame reaches the Magikarp, successfully burning him despite the watery obstacles he put up.

Undeterred by the burn, Bartholomew sends out yet another stream of bubbles. This time, Zelda finally launches a damaging attack of her own. She gathers a verdant green ball of nature-based energy, and then sends this energy ball at her opponent. This is the third time in a row she has infused her mystical powers into her actions- and her powers prove to be what is necessary for the attack to score a critical hit. With this level of success, Zelda promises to grow up into a powerful Ninetales indeed.

Flavor: The round starts off with Magikarp struggling to deal good damage by launching a vicious dragon rage! Vulpix then shows yet another side of her species' mystical abilities. Taking advantage of the previously inflicted burns, she casts an insidious hex on the hapless Bartholomew, with the curse's power being augmented by his burn.

Yet again, Bartholomew attempts to gather draconic power in his rage against Zelda, launching yet another stream of blue flames at her. As Zelda is struck by the draconic flames, her vision is obscured, and she is forced to rely entirely on her mystical prowess to guide her second energy ball of the match to its target. This proves to be far from a negative event for the Vulpix, as she is mystically attuned enough with the auras around her that, through focusing so much upon said mystical powers, she appears to have scored yet another critical hit.

Obviously reaching a point of desperation, Bartholomew attempts to cause a reversal in the course of the battle. However, he is not doing nearly as poorly as he feared, and the attack launched doesn't have quite enough desperation behind it to make it truly shine. Zelda stops this attack short the moment Bartholomew's wild strikes cause him to make eye contact. Such eye contact is all that is needed for Zelda to launch a truly horrifying hex- bringing the Magikarp down to the level where his previous combo could have been more worthwhile.

Yes, YellowAdminSilver, turn order is not changed by my correction. The rules on turn order are well defined, and I'll copy and paste them here for you from the referee resource thread:

3. TURN ORDER: Unless specifically stated otherwise by the battling trainers in the Battle Tower, the Turn order of any match is as follows:
  • The Match Challenger posts his/her first Pokemon with its Abilities/Item if applicable.
  • The Match Acceptor posts his/her first Pokemon with its Abilities/Item if applicable and issues their Actions for the Round.
  • The Match Challenger issues his/her Actions for the Round.
  • The Referee posts the results of the Round.
  • The Match Challenger issues his/her Actions for the next Round.
  • The Match Acceptor issues his/her Actions for the next Round.
  • The Referee posts the results of the Round.
  • The Match Acceptor issues his/her Actions for the next Round...
  • Continue along this pattern until the match is complete.

In simpler terms, since you ordered first on the previous round, Avnomke orders first on this round. The events of a round do not change this basic turn order.

Format/flavor/etc to come tomorrow because mobile

Flavor: As Magikarp cools down from its previous exertions, the audience watches with bated breath, expecting Vulpix to knock it off. Zelda's trainer, however, commands his Vulpix to do something unexpected- a flame charge to raise her speed. Zelda quickly complies, intensifying her natural fires so that she is engulfed by a covering of flame, and then charging at her opponent to build momentum for the next round.

Not slowing down from her previous charge, Zelda is determined to keep the momentum her trainer planned out for her. Before Bartholomew can react with the reversal his trainer had planned, she gathers yet another energy ball, and lets it loose in the blink of an eye. Obviously the momentum from the flame charge has helped it- with the blinding speed at which Vulpix is now moving, the energy ball scored a critical hit for the third time it was used. Vulpix is one lucky pokemon, (and I swear it really is my RNG causing all of these crits on this, and not me just putting it in there- not like it mattered this time around, anyway). Even without the velocity-induced crit, Magikarp was woefully low on HP, and would have certainly be KOed even without the extra damage. Bartholomew flops over, defeated, as his trainer quickly recalls him into his pokeball- now prepared to release the much more powerful Charizard.

Overall, this was an unexpected tactic from YellowAdminSilver, which was planned out wonderfully, and which highlights him as a promising young trainer.

Flavor: Last round, Zelda's increased speed worked in her favor. And throughout the match, Zelda has been aided by hax which could easily be explained through her species' mystical nature. This round, however, both her speed and her species' mystical nature combine to cause hax to go against her.
Now, as she attempts to use Hypnosis as her trainer commands, she attempts to stare steadily into Calico Jack's eyes and put him under her spell. However, she does so only to lose concentration as the attempts at such a steady gaze conflict with the fires from the flame charge still burning brightly around her, and the magical energy she put into it. As an inexperienced Vulpix, it was simply in her nature to infuse all of her moves with her species' special magic. Now she is finding that this may not be a good idea, as the spell she cast to enhance the flame charge is calling for constant movement, and her gaze wavers, unable to connect with her opponent's.
Her opponent, meanwhile, has a trainer who has thought up a clever strategy. To counteract the opponent's speed, Avnomke orders his Charizard to use Rock Tomb. Calico Jack complies, as he takes advantage of Zelda's troubles to stand still and concentrate deeply for enough time needed to complete the move. Showing a level of experience in such matters that the youthful Zelda lacks, his concentration is unwavering, and soon enough, boulders jut out of the ground, some surrounding the Vulpix and limiting her mobility, and others buffeting the Vulpix as they rise up.
Then, changing from calm and motionless to having the speed of greased lightning in the blink of an eye, Calico Jack rockets towards the ceiling, and swoops down to tunnel underground. He certainly cuts it as close as possible, yet again showing his experience and training- he gets so close to the ceiling that the end of his tail actually slams against it, and the flame of his tail leaves a streak of singe marks where it had touched. Off to the side, a janitor who works in the building can be heard grumbling about how, when cleaning up the mess of battles, the ceiling is really the hardest part to clean, and couldn't the trainers battling just be more considerate?
In the eye-blink worth of time in which Calico Jack is making his movements, Zelda attempts to recover enough from the attacks she had just faced, along with her disorientation from having her magic work against her, but fails. By the time she has recovered enough from these two things to cast an attempted hex on the fire lizard, he has already gone underground, out of her range. Instead, the magical energies she gathered from the hex, not having a target, ricochet off of the rocks now jutting out of the ground and surrounding Zelda. This causes Zelda to desperately work on dodging her own attack, barely succeeding in doing so.
As the last of the magical energy dissipates, and Zelda is panting heavily in one place, Calico Jack digs his way up from the ground, plowing straight into Zelda. Zelda is caught on his face as he rises up, and is brought halfway up to the ceiling before being tossed aside and ragdolling across the dirt until she collides with one of the boulders now in the arena after the rock tomb. She staggers up from this attack, as Calico Jack flies up above her, and, unfurling his wings majestically, lets out an intimidating roar of victory.
Zelda, still dazed from everything that has happened to her, and unused to thinking in the heat of battle, has no idea what to with herself. Despite how close she is to fainting, she recalls her trainer's orders to use Safeguard at this point, and readily complies. Even YellowAdminSilver recognizes that this is a bad idea at this point, and tries to tell her to stop, but by then it's too late. The spell is already partway through completion, giving Calico Jack a golden opportunity.
Calico Jack uses the time in which Zelda is completing the spell to yet again tighten his focus on an attack. The only part of him which is moving at this moment are his wings, as they flap purely on instinct, and with no conscious thought. Then, as Zelda is finishing her spell for the safeguard, Calico Jack divebombs her, coming at her with a tightly focused punch, into which he has put deep thought into how to execute it for the best effect. With perfect understanding of anatomy and physics, the Charizard shows the result of his focus with an intensely powerful punch which knocks Zelda out cold.
With Zelda having caused no negative effects to Charizard whatsoever, it is left to Absol to fight Calico Jack head-on, with the only benefit being one of amount of energy left.

Flavor: Calico Jack begins the round by focusing its energy into a forceful blast against Soul. Soul, however, proves more prepared then Zelda, and quickly detects what his opponent's action will be and skillfully dodges it.
Calico Jack then lets loose a mouthful of fire, sending it blasting towards Soul. Soul quickly shrugs off being struck by the flames, and his eyes glow with dark energy as he summons rocks from the ground to surround and entomb Calico Jack.
With Calico Jack trapped, Soul quickly works to cast a spell to torment his opponent by limiting his choice of moves. While he still has a chance, Calico Jack lets loose one last focus blast, with a strength powerful enough to shatter right through one of the rocks that's trapping him as it heads towards Soul.
