Vederation

team rocket blasting off

Who is Vederation?

Wanna hear a story? I began seriously learning how to draw at the ripe age of 19 – and that was because I was both pissed and envious at one acquaintance who was very good at it. I was observing her digital drawings when I heard my shadow whisper to me: "Look at that woman. You don't even have half of the creativity and sophistication that she has, oh you bloody cretin!". So to prove the bastard wrong, I rode my bike to the nearest Best Buy, got myself the cheapest Wacom Tablet, and pledged the vow of a hermit throughout that year's spring and summer break solely to learn the trade. What do you know, I got hooked by it pretty quick!

Art Preferences

My love for semi-realism happen to intersect with my joy in applying each stroke of the brush, so it's natural that I'd attempt to make things as complete and detailed as possible before calling it done. Hell, it even saddens me when an artwork has reached its completion. Aside from playing music, art is one of my other means for entering trance like state that which I find extremely soothing.

I am competitive by nature and such is my only means to grow, so I always try to integrate new styles and techniques whenever I see someone being pretty proficient at it. It's like an invitation for challenge and self-transcendence; which require me to be open to changes before learning to adapt. Thanks to internet (particularly Pinterest), it makes it even more easier for artists like me to get inspired. What a time to be alive!
