Hello and welcome to the sixth iteration of the ZUPL! This thread is for the signups for those who wish to manage in the tour. This year we're looking at 8 teams, so 8 manager duos! Managers are expected to have past ZUPL experience, managed in a Smogon team tournament before, and/or be a major contributor to ZU. Additionally, keeping a team name from last year is highly encouraged, but not a requirement! To manage, please compile the following form:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):

The format this year is:
  • SV ZU
  • SV ZU
  • SV ZU
  • SS ZU
  • SM ZU
  • ORAS ZU
  • BW ZU
  • DPP ZU
When posting, please make it clear if you want to continue a existing team, make a new one, and what retention pool you want to inherit if you're making a new one (click here for the ZUPL V spreadsheet, to see last year's teams and retain pools)

Managers can purchase themselves for the price of 12.5k + 1k for (positive) differential in ZUPL V. Managers are also expected to be active in their teamchat and respond quickly with substitutes or lineups. Player retains will be the player's price last year + 3k (minimum 10k, + 3k markup for consecutive retains). Retains are limited to two per team.

Signups will close on Sunday, June 23rd, with player signups going off shortly after with the chosen managers.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):
i have played in about 15 PLs and 5 WCs which includes HPL, CAPPL, 1v1 PL, NDWC, 1v1WC, etc. I have also managed Team india in NDWC, BTWC and have managed in a few more discord tours. I am also managing in SMPL III.
Mimikyu Stardust has managed team Asia in WCOP this year, BDSPPL and a few other discord tours as well. They also won UPL and is also a past ZUPL Champion

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): We think we would make great managers this edition due to our wide managing knowledge and great chemistry together as we've managed as a pair before with good results . Ina has managed quite the variety of WCOPS and PLs including the latest edition of ZUWC , DOUWC , CAPPL , OUPL , etc... And has recently managed to win quite a few tournaments including the latest edition of UUPL. I myself have also managed a good variety or WCOPS and PLs including DOUWC , ADVPL , TPP , UMPL and the current SMPL while also playing in the latest ZUWC with spain.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I've managed 8 times (ZUPL X3 ZUOL X2 UMPL X2 ZUWC X1). I've made playoffs 6/8 times with 2 wins. Btboy and I work very well together with knowledge of every ZU generation and always create the best team environment.

Confirming. And since Toto is just gonna mic drop and leave without posting our resume, I’ll note that we’ve either been co-managing or shadow managing together since ZUPL III. I have not been very active in SV ZU, but Toto has and we have a good combination of old gens knowledge. Our teams have typically been pretty competitive and I think most players would attest that we provide a fun, family-friendly team atmosphere. :blobthumbsup:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):
Won a ZU individual earlier this year and was ranked best SV ZU according to the highly prestigious zu awards. As a manager, I took team Poland+Poland, Kiribati to the final game of ZUWC; building nearly every team throughout the tournament. Durza is a 5x ZUPL manager, with 2 wins under his belt. It wouldn't be Fiery Flamencos or ZUPL without him.

i helped manage the Shiinotics in ZUPL V, managed in ZUWC, played/managed BLAZE in ZUOL II where we claimed 1st seed, and was on the winning UMPL team as the ZU starter. i've been around for a couple years now, leading various tournaments, projects, and more recently, becoming a forum moderator. as a room moderator, i know the community well, get along with everyone, and am trusted to be responsible of others.

LustfulLice managed in ZUWC, is a ZU CG Council member, was seeded #1 in the ZU Circuit and won the most recent ZU Swiss tournament. Lice has participated in many other ZU team tournaments like ZUPL, ZUOL and UMPL, putting up great performances. He has also been apart of the community for a long time and is well liked amongst his peers.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I managed the Shiinotics for two ZUPL's and participated in numerous ZU teamtours/individuals, most notably winning ZU Olympiad I and ZU Masters I. As a room owner I also know the community inside out and (insert more self-glazing pls change this signup format I hate it)

tier has significant experience managing and playing in teamtours, including winning last year's ZUPL. One need but take a look at his custom avatar list or discord lines to realize that he is an absolute asset to virtually every teamtour (just don't ask him how much regen heals).
