Metagame Pokemoves!

Let me add another mon to the broken pile: Walking Wake.

Walking Wake @ Life Orb
:SV/Walking Wake:
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Hydro Steam
- Exeggutor :Exeggutor:
- Dragon Pulse
- Weather Ball

This set is just silly. The added grass coverage makes bulky waters a complete non-issue, while the fact that Exeggutor gives Chlorophyll boosts Wake's speed to downright silly levels, with even the natural Chlorophyll mons outspeed and OHKO'd. This is on top of the extreme breaking power provided by Protosynthesis and the sun boost. As far as brainlessly killing stuff goes, you can't really do better than this.

Regidrago is good too, it doesnt get coverage but dragons maw+super strong dragon stab is more than enough

:comfey:
Comfey @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Triage
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Draining Kiss
- Thundurus
- Synthesis

Comfey isn't known exactly for its coverage, having practically all of its special moves resisted by steel types.
Could I have used Sandy Shocks as donor? Absolutely.
But that was kind of bland? So I chose Thundurus so Comfey has Prankster, being able to Calm Mind before the opponent can react and heal its HP before it can get KO'ed.

Would Greninja-Bond work as a pokemove? its under a separate pokemon slot in showdown and as such Battle Bond is the primary ability. If it does, this would be crazy on any mon

While you could use it as a pokemove, GF coded some abilities like Battle Bond to only work on the corresponding Pokémon, so it wont do anything as you aren't using a Greninja from the SM demo.

ahhh good to know, but what about giving a quark/proto mon the opposite ability? (combining both) since they are the same abilities but with different activation conditions do they stack?

So it turns out you can give Barraskewda strong jaw and 120 bp water stab ;-;

Barraskewda @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- drednaw
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Ice Fang

Fun observations
252+ Atk Life Orb Barraskewda dreadnaw vs. +1 252 HP / 88 Def Zamazenta in Rain: 222-263 (57.2 - 67.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Bulky Zamazenta cannot switch in.

252+ Atk Life Orb Strong Jaw Barraskewda Ice Fang vs. 248 HP / 4 Def Clodsire: 437-515 (94.3 - 111.2%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
Water absorb clodsire simply dies. Strong jaw :D

252+ Atk Life Orb Barraskewda Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Alomomola in Rain: 168-199 (31.4 - 37.2%) -- 80.9% chance to 3HKO
Alomomola is like an okay wall?

Yes, but remember that Booster Energy gets consumed by the first ability, so you need sun/electric terrain to activate the other.

Can someone explain why this Dondozo has 5 moves?
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9pokemoves-2173519648
Found out why, going into the "import" section for a mon and manually typing in a pokemove allows you to have 5 moves

A set I've found success with:

:sv/minior: <--- ( :sv/klawf: )
Minior @ White Herb
Ability: Shields Down
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Klawf

As a lead, Klawf provides Minior with an strong 100 BP 100% accurate rock stab with the additional possibility to stack boosts with Shell Smash, and the combination of Acro, EQ, and Klawf result in unresisted coverage. This plays especially well against lead Ribombee, as Stun Spore is blocked by Shields Down and Moonblast will only get Klawf into Anger Shell range.

It's just me, but I'd like it if we went the "It's not a bug, it's a feature" route.
Because it's one of the rare metas to make use of the import function, so it would fit in nicely.
I highly doubt this logic works. The OM premise implies a replacement of an existing moveslot to add a Pokemove, not an additional moveslot.

Nosepass @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
Tera Type: Rock
IVs: 0 HP
- Sandaconda / Garganacl / Piloswine / Oinkologne-Female
- Pain Split
- Taunt
- Protect

why is there FEAR on your screen, idk

it did manage to be a valuable weather staller, and if i can keep the t spikes it can actually clean up

all the pokemoves are good in their own way

The 5 move slots bug got fixed, but there seems to be another validator problem and nicknames may cause your pokemove to disappear when the game begins, so be careful with that.

Once all the game breaking bugs are fixed I’d be willing to host a tour for this. This would help with Metagame development which has actually advanced shockingly quickly. It may point out a couple of the really problematic parts of the Metagame too.

Rain has wreaked havoc these past few days in this metagame and with 8 turns it is quite hard to play around. Hopefully this nerf to rain helps keep it in check better.

Next time we’ll probably take a look at everything on this vote as well as mons like Zamazenta and Pokemoves that give double speed under weather. Hopefully now since most of the game-breaking bugs have been fixed, we can get a better idea of broken stuff.

Tagging dhelmise for implement. Thanks!

Random set I made.
