A tier list graveyard is no place for a young prince

My top 10 Mario Kart Tracks. Note that I haven't played all the MK Games, notably Super Circuit, 64, and Double Dash, also I don't have the DLC for 8 Deluxe. MY OPINION ON THESE...but here you go. I'll probably make a bigger list later (Higher up on the list = better)

Do you think the wigglers on maple treeway conspire to help the wiggler players win the race?

/mu/core ranking (no order in tiers + I need to get to a lot of stuff) also trout mask doesn't have a ranking
Edit: I relistened to Laughing Stock and have realized my errors. It's in peak now

After spending way too long thinking about this, I'm annoyed that my result feels pretty milquetoast. Maybe it'll be super controversial though, who knows. I think very few chars are essential and very few chars 'dont deserve the slot': i like smaller rosters than ultimate's but it's nothing personal against a character, except maybe those in the singular bottom tier.

I feel like people would take "Average Minus" as an insult, but that's not the point at all. I think characters like Bayo, Palu, and Piranha Plant are super cool (at least conceptually... looking at you bayo...) and add a lot and I'm glad they're here. Just, if there's only so many slots to go around, and people unfortunately have to go, they may closer to the top of the list. In a similar vein, "Average" is high praise in such a value-dense set of characters.

Note that, though I put almost all the third parties pretty highly as individuals, I don't think the game should have a super high ratio of third party characters to Nintendo characters.

- not ordered within tiers
- i don't count echo fighters or quasi echoes (doc pichu young link), i assume they take little enough resources that i consider them free goodies
-'mii brawler' means 'a mii(s) in some form, not specifically 'mii brawler'. the other miis mean the specific mii types.

edit: yeah idk why i didnt put villy up a tier
IMO Inkling deserves top spot. Splatoon 3 is the fastest selling game in Japan ever. Well, it was, before Pokemon SV came out, oops.

I also think Animal Crossing- honestly, okay, let me just show the image Nintendo uses to represent their core franchises to investors:

This also means I think Animal Crossing is essential. I won't argue with Pikachu because it's only not here because it is technically TPC, but I think these 4 are also indisputably top spot. If its Villager or Isabelle, I'm not sure, your call.

Also I will update this or just post later with my own list, for what I feel, cuz I like this topic

Well uh, if y'all don't mind imma just gonna drop my mega animal tier list here!

I'm not gonna explain every individual ranking cuz that'd be the actual end of me... Just know that the bottom rankings are conformed by either jerkass invasive species, actual parasites or animals that are simply way too uninteresting

I know. For whatever it's worth, the Lions/Packers hatred is also very real, though it's probably more one-sided.
like the cubs brewers relationship. the brewers hate us so much, but I never even heard of the brewers until I moved to wisconsin. the Cardinals are our biggest rivals, but the number two opponent of Chicago is Chicago. the cubs hate the white Sox more than the brewers. its kinda embarising. I would hate to be a brewers fan.

at least for me, can confirm. my pov is, if anyone besides us has to win the division, please you please you please

any team not here is 'average' for me

You may be a disgusting cheesehead, but I appreciate the solidarity. Here's a division rivals tier list based on how much I dislike their fans right now:
1717365948906.png

Packers fans seem to be reasonably chill right now, which makes sense; they seem to have long-term stability in Jordan Love. Bears fans are doing the usual ballyhooing about how great they're going to be, but they did have a great draft. They really ought to know to look before they leap by now, but I can tolerate it.

The Vikings fans that I've witnessed online are just miserable. They desperately wanted us to go one and done in the playoffs after what happened to them in 2022-23, and they're very bitter that we got as far as we did. I've seen some of them accuse Dan Campbell of "bringing Bountygate culture" to the Lions because he was on the Saints team that won the Super Bowl. He spent the whole year on IR, and he didn't get a ring. It's embarrassing. I don't fully blame them — some Lions fans really don't know how to act — but they still annoy me.

truly all i could ever ask for lmao

yeah i basically share ur logic on the other two, and on us. just wanna note how shocked i am how chill yall have been, at least in my experience - much rubbing-in-faces could have been done with your recent success!!
where are these packer fans? the ones I know are insufferable.

idk, it prob depends a lot on what environment / context you're meeting fans in. but on the other hand like- this is just one thing you said and unfair for me to extrapolate to everything, but if you're going into packers fan interactions with a pov like 'man, the [wisconsin team] are so embarrassing because [worse teams] don't take them seriously as rivals. luckily, as a bears fan in the current year, i am immune to this phenomenon from yall', you might get reactions you do not like

the thing is, i dont even care about sports, I just say I'm a bears fan because 1. its what my parents are, and 2. it pisses people off.

I'm not gonna explain every individual ranking cuz that'd be the actual end of me... Just know that the bottom rankings are conformed by either jerkass invasive species, actual parasites or animals that are simply way too uninteresting

In the D tier, are those sea urchins and zebra mussels? Man, those invasive species are horrible. I wonder why the small cats are in the B tier instead of the C tier, though. I know they're cute, but they are especially invasive towards both Americas and Australia. Also, the pics are for ants, so I cannot recognize most of C tier besides the cockroach, wasp, rabbit, and rat. Mind writing down each name? That'd help a lot.

Oh yeah ofc! Sry for that it was the only way I could fit everything. Anyhow, on c d and e tier, from left to right and up to down there's:
Cockroaches
Rabbits
Cane toads (Rly destructive in Australia, they eat all the smaller animals and poison anyone who tries to eat them)
Wasps
Vampire bats (Not really an invasive species, but they do feed on blood and spread disease, so they're kind of like large mosquitoes)
Flies (Kind of annoying in general, but not essentially destructive so I'm not so sure on the ranking)
Lionfish (A lot like cane toads but in the atlantic ocean)
Rats
Wild boars (Another destructive invasive species where they aren't native. They feed on smaller native species AND can damage the vegetation as well)
Zebra mussels
Sea urchins
Tongue eating lice (I assume, I'm not sure on what they are exactly either cuz the website didn't provide any names...)
Mosquitoes
Ticks
Fleas
Also I agree with the cats' assessment, truly destructive indeed (as well as dogs to a certain extent too), but I didn't want the internet's cat lovers going after me for ranking them low...

Reviving this thread with a tier list of the top 50 hardest Extreme Demons in Geometry Dash according to the Pointercrate Demonlist (shoutout to the five people on here that know what any of this means)

I might add reasonings later if I feel like it [Edit: behold]
Sinister Silence:
The level starts, you hear the part of the song that plays at the beginning and you think "well at least the song is neat" WELL JOKES ON YOU because it then suddenly becomes one of the most infuriating songs you will ever listen to

The level itself is the most generic level of all time, THERE IS NOTHING INTERESTING ABOUT IT WHATSOEVER it's just 7 minutes of the most generic Extreme Demon gameplay of all time with equally generic decoration why does it exist I don't understand
Slaughterhouse:
Actually kind of decent but not enough to save it from E tier

Acheron:
The predrop is doing a lot of heavy lifting but it's not that bad, definitely not a Tartarus sequel trust me guys

Unknown:
The theming is neat but it's just too short

Belladonna:
uh

Tunnel of Despair:
Neat idea, supremely boring, questionable song, welcome to E tier

Firework:
Try to remember a single part of this level except for the orb ship and ending

Sonic Wave Infinity:
The song is actually pretty good but the decoration mostly isn't, it's also very boring

Sakupen Circles:
There really isn't much to say for these levels is there
Abyss of Darkness:
The gameplay is so hilariously stupid I love it, some parts also look really good

Aerial Gleam:
Looks really good but when so much of the level is just wave gameplay it becomes really boring to look at, the level also starts and ends rather abruptly

Silent clubstep:
A funny old level that was partially the result of underage drinking with A LOT of history behind it's verification (Clubstep is also just a really good song)

Climax:
Literally just budget Kyouki how did they get away with this

Avernus:
Rushed top 1 megacollab that the host of cannot make up their mind about if it's supposed to be related to The Golden or not, it's decent though the gameplay is hilariously bad

Eyes in the Water:
The first half is really cool and unique, the second half being completetly different is a bit weird but I still like it

Tartarus:
The longest reigning top 1 in the game's history, it's essentially just a slightly more interesting version of Acheron
Arcturus:
This level has an atmosphere like no other, the sheer sense of dread and suspense I feel whenever I watch it is unmatched by any other level I've ever seen, doesn't uh look very good thoughw

Jigsaw:
This level just kind of spawned into the top 40 with no fanfare but it's really cool and well made, probably more appreciated by people who have seen the movies it's based on

Codependence:
The song is really good and the gameplay is fun to watch

Shukketsu:
The song and decoration are both really nice you just have no idea what's going on. Bonus points for the funny

Kyouki:
A masterpiece when it comes to its effects and designs, unfortunately there is no progression whatsoever except for the ending and the gameplay being flow gameplay hurts it's identity even more, what it lacks in substance it tries to make up for in flashyness but it's just not enough

Trueffet:
This level is just really cool, not much else to say

Deadlier Clubstep:
This was made in version 1.9 on a custom server and I am very biased towards 1.9 styled gameplay, the deco, while not for everyone is also really cool

The Lightning Rod:
This is a weird one, it's held back a lot by the decoration but the gameplay is really unique and fun to watch (hmm where have I heard that before?)

Combustion:
uh 2.0 now with extra uncertainty

walter white:
song good deco good fun to watch me liek
SARYYX NEVER CLEAR:
I love this song I love this song I love this song, the gameplay is really fun to watch as well (Fun Fact: the first 8% are harder than the rest of the level combined)

Saul Goodman:
The sheer energy of this level is unmatched. Bonus points for the funny

NETWORK:
The atmosphere is really unique, the gameplay is so incredibly fun to watch, the style and effects IT'S SO GOOD

Deimos:
THIS LEVEL IS AWESOME, it's a sequel to an old messy megacollab called Phobos that didn't really have a theme and was just a bunch of people building random stuff (emphasis on random), Deimos does the exact same thing but it's actually high quality this time, THIS LEVEL IS SO GOOD

MINUSdry:
A parody of old impossible levels featuring old impossible level "hey guys did you know this gameplay is really hard" style gameplay, amazing decoration and designs blending the old with the new, clubstep monsters everywhere and fred, what more could you ask for??? Dry Out is also a really good song. Bonus points for the funny

Terminal Rampancy:
This level goes for a really risky color scheme in red and blue and pulls it off expertly, the gameplay is extremely satisfying to watch and the song is awesome, it suffers from a lack of variation though

KOCMOC:
One of if not the best looking level on the entire list (objectively), I don't think I need to explain to you why this is a good level

Menace:
Everything in this level, from the song to the gameplay to the decoration to the poem that appears in various places throughout it was made by one single person which is insanely impressive, the gameplay is extremely unique and the level just looks really good in general

The Hallucination:
A Nine Circles level done right, the decoration and effects are awesome, the song is really good and the level just feels so intimidating

poocubed:
it's good I like the song and the deco is nice

LIMBO:
One of the most well known and popular levels on the list, this level is a masterpiece with 3 minutes and 26 seconds of purely memory gameplay, the ending is one of if not the best and most iconic part of any level ever and for good reason, my only problems with it is that the decoration isn't that good in some parts and is a bit repetetive but those are my only complaints

Mayhem:
Clicksync level that doesn't sync well because clicksync megacollabs are a bad idea, hard carried by the song

The Golden:
Is the gold here in the room with us? It's a bit boring but I love Thunderzone V2 it's such a good song go check out Waterflame do it now

Oblivion:
uh 3.0 now with extra song bias
Solar Flare:
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LEVEL IS INCREDIBLE, I wish it was longer :c

Psychopath:
The song is absolutely incredible it's so good and the level uses it so incredibly well, the gameplay is so fun to watch and is so unique I love it

Verdant Landscape:
IT LOOKS SO MUCH FUN I WANT TO PLAY IT. I love the song as well, it just needs more variety

Critical Heat:
LET'S GO NA NA HU NAHANANA NA HU NUHU NA HU NUHU NAHUNAH HU

Midnight:
The gameplay is really satisfying to watch, it gets a bit boring though
Damascus:
*cries in nostalgia* Released on the 10th anniversary of the game, this level is such a beautiful tribute to the history of user created levels, the song, the deco, everything is a masterpiece and just fits so perfectly, there's so many well known creators in this like they even got Rob Buck back. I'm actually crying that wasn't just a joke

Edge of Destiny:
The song is incredible, the decoration is some of the best in the entire game, this level is an absolute masterpiece how can you not love it

Delta:
I love the song, I love the decoration and the level just exudes an unmatched sense of power, I get actual chills whenever I watch it

Tidal Wave:
Originally the decoration process was meant to be a megacollab but after nobody wanted to participate the creator decided to decorate the 3 MINUTE LONG LEVEL on their own, while it initially starts off not looking great during the course of the level their decoration slowly progresses and when the second wave part starts the rest of the level after that is so incredibly good, it's so incredibly fun to watch the progression is so good the the sync is incredible the song is [insert synonym] and the last part oh the last part it's so good

ATOMIC CANNON Mk. III
Cue the aggressive headbanging, this level is just pure unfiltered adrenaline it's impossible to not do a little dance

And yes they are ordered within the tiers but take A and B with a grain of salt
