Psychic
========
Deoxys-D is outclassed as a stallbreaker by other Psychic-types such as Gallade and Hoopa-U that can provide the team with more offensive pressure. With its stallbreaking capabilities, its best suited for more passive teams such as Flying. The trait that Deoxys-D provides is Pressure stalling foes out while wearing down their HP with Night Shade and making use of Recover to shrug off damage after boosting its stats with Cosmic Power.

[SET COMMENTS]
With its phenomenal defenses, Deoxys-D can make a great impact for Psychic teams as a stallbreaker that takes advantage of more passive teams such as Flying. Cosmic Power makes it able to handle wallbreakers and Choice-locked Pokemon. With 176 Speed EVs, Deoxys-D is able to outspeed and use Cosmic Power against Choice Band Dragonite and Mamoswine and most Gliscor sets, allowing Deoxys-D to block its entry hazards and Toxic with Taunt. Taunt also stops walls such as Blissey, Skarmory, and Toxapex from spreading status and setting hazards while limiting their longevity. Night Shade is Deoxys-D's most consistent form of damage dealing.
Gallade is a powerful secondary wallbreaker in conjunction with Deoxys-D, making use of its Fighting-type STAB attacks to remove Dark-type threats that Deoxys-D can't handle on its own such as Ting-Lu, Alolan Muk, and Greninja. Espathra can set up once Deoxys-D removes walls. Hoopa-U complements. Deoxys-D as a threat to Ghost-types such as Gholdengo and Flutter Mane. Iron Boulder, with its phenomenal Speed, can pair greatly with Deoxys-D to remove Dark-, Bug-, and Fire-type threats such as Meowscarada, Volcarona, and Gouging Fire. Choice Specs Latios appreciates Deoxys-D stalling out special walls such as Hisuian Goodra and Ting-Lu and, in return, handles threats such as Hydreigon. Hatterene provides entry hazard control in case Deoxys-Dis not able to outspeed and use Taunt while also providing great bulk and Fairy-type coverage to deal with Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Kyurem. Jirachi can pair excellently with Deoxys-D to be not only a defensive pair but also a Stealth Rock setter. Alternatively, Metagross can set Stealth Rock while also posing a threat to Fairy-types such as Flutter Mane and Mimikyu.

Deoxys-D can alternatively run Stored Power, becoming a threat if there are no Dark-types on the field. Covert Cloak can be run to cancel out secondary effects.
