:sv/glimmora:

I find it funny that it took for the DLC for Geeta to learn how to properly use Glimmora lol.

By the way, the Focus Sash set onsite can be easily edited to fit Regulation H, so I left that out, so no I did not forget about the most common Glimmora set LOL

[SET]
Meteor Beam (Glimmora) @ Power Herb
Ability: Toxic Debris
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Meteor Beam
- Earth Power
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Wave / Dazzling Gleam

[SET COMMENTS]

* With Power Herb and Meteor Beam combined, Glimmora gains a huge amount of power compared to its other sets, making its softer checks such as Assault Vest Ursaluna-B and Assault Vest Kingambit far less reliable. This set is also less reliant on leading, though Toxic Debris still makes it a natural at this role.

* **Earth Power**: Coverage against Steel-types such as Gholdengo, Archaludon, and Kingambit is required for Glimmora to potentially sweep.

* **Energy Ball**: Energy Ball is Glimmora's most damaging attack against Ursaluna-B, and it pairs greatly with Tera Grass.

* **Sludge Wave versus Dazzling Gleam**: While Poison coverage may not seem particularly useful, it deals more damage to Primarina than Energy Ball, potentially preventing a revenge kill. Dazzling Gleam on the other hand, knocks out Hydreigon and deals serious damage to Garchomp.

Tera Types
========

* **Tera Dependency - High**: Since Meteor Beam only has one shot of boosting Special Attack without a charge-up turn, Terastallization is often key to prevent Glimmora's vulnerability to Ground-type attacks from ruining its shot at sweeping.

* **Grass**: Tera Grass stands out as the best option, boosting Energy Ball to the point where even some Assault Vest Ursaluna-B risk getting OHKOed after a boost while twisting the Ground-type weakness into a resistance. As a bonus, this also stops Breloom's Spore from derailing a potential sweep.

* **Flying**: Tera Flying's Ground-type immunity is worth considering, and it also grants the bonus of not worrying about Toxic Spikes. However, it provides far less offensive benefit than Tera Grass.

* **Fairy**: Tera Fairy is mainly useful for stopping Scale Shot users like Dragonite and Garchomp from setting up a sweep and revenge kill on Glimmora in one turn as well as punishing Choice-locked Dragon-types such as Choice Band Dragonite and Choice Specs Hydreigon. However, retaining the Steel-type weakness is a big problem against Gholdengo and Scizor.

[SET]
Bulky Support (Glimmora) @ Red Card / Air Balloon
Ability: Toxic Debris
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 36 SpA / 4 SpD / 52 Spe or 252 HP / 172 Def / 4 SpA / 28 SpD / 52 Spe
Modest / Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock / Toxic Spikes
- Mortal Spin
- Earth Power
- Power Gem

[SET COMMENTS]

* Glimmora's defensive typing isn't spectacular, but Toxic Debris is so effective at setting up Toxic Spikes that it still makes sense to use a defensive set.

* **Stealth Rock versus Toxic Spikes**: Stealth Rock is the more general option that pairs greatly with Toxic Debris. However, for teams that desperately need Toxic Spikes, using the move itself does ensure that special attackers can't play around Glimmora's ability.

* **Mortal Spin**: Mortal Spin provides rare entry hazard removal in the format while also spreading poison, making it a must-have on a defensive set. This particularly pairs well with bulky Pokemon that are weak to Stealth Rock, such as Dragonite and Volcarona.

* **Earth Power** Even on a defensive set, Glimmora usually can't afford to be easy pickings for Steel-types like Archaludon and Gholdengo.

* **Power Gem**: Power Gem is Glimmora's best offense against Volcarona, Dragonite, and Baxcalibur, all threats that can threaten to set up on Glimmora otherwise.

* **Red Card versus Air Balloon**: Red Card has excellent synergy with Toxic Debris, letting Glimmora punish a foe by switching into resisted hits such as Dragonite's Extreme Speed to not only set up a layer of Toxic Spikes but also potentially force in one of the foe's teammates to immediately get poisoned. Air Balloon doesn't have this amazing sweep-stopping potential, but it does ensure that Ground-type coverage from foes like Dragonite won't force Glimmora to switch out or Terastallize right away.

Other Options
========

* **Toxic and Corrosion**: Giving up the incredible Toxic Debris is a big sacrifice, but using Corrision and Toxic together can ruin defensive Steel-types like Corviknight, which otherwise may attempt to set up on Glimmora.

Tera Types
=====

* **Tera Dependency - Low**: Glimmora's 4x weakness to Ground-type attacks is a massive thorn on its side, but while Terastallization can help solve this, this set's more supportive nature doesn't always make it the correct option.

* **Grass**: Tera Grass gels with Glimmora defensively, giving it an important resistance to Ground and ensuring that Breloom doesn't stop it with Spore.

EV Spreads
========

* **52 Speed EVs versus 68 Speed EVs**: 52 Speed EVs let Glimmora outspeed Jolly Ursaluna and Jolly Kingambit. While they aren't particularly common, these threats have the potential to ruin Glimmora. 68 EVs can be used to outspeed Timid Ursaluna-B, which is also an uncommon but serious threat.

* **252 HP / 164 Def / 36 SpA / 4 SpD / 52 Spe with Modest**: This spread nets a 2HKO on maximum HP Gholdengo with Earth Power.

* **252 HP / 172 Def / 4 SpA / 28 SpD / 52 Spe with Bold**: This more defensive spread avoids an OHKO from Adamant Gallade's Psycho Cut, assuming it doesn't use an offensive boosting item.

[SET]
Assault Vest (Glimmora) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Toxic Debris
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass / Ground
EVs: 244 HP / 4 Def / 148 SpA / 60 SpD / 52 Spe
Modest Nature
- Power Gem
- Earth Power
- Energy Ball
- Mortal Spin / Sludge Wave / Dazzling Gleam

[SET COMMENTS]

* Wearing an Assault Vest takes advantage of most opponents aiming to avoid Toxic Debris's activation, giving this set good luring potential against revenge killers like Gholdengo.

* **Earth Power**: Hitting Gholdengo and Archaludon super effectively is essential for Glimmora to truly take advantage of Assault Vest and Terastallization.

* **Energy Ball**: Ursaluna-B is a high-value target for this set, making Energy Ball the best coverage move for the job.

* **Mortal Spin versus Sludge Wave**: Mortal Spin is another unique selling point, giving Glimmora far more support potential than most Assault Vest tanks. Sludge Wave is still worth considering for the extra damage done to Primarina and common Tera Fairy Pokemon such as Archaludon and Garchomp.

* **Dazzling Gleam**: Dazzling Gleam is a reasonable option for OHKOing Hydreigon and dealing huge damage to Garchomp.

* **EV Spread**: The given EV spread ensures that maximum HP Ursaluna-B is OHKOed by Tera Grass Energy Ball, while Glimmora will survive Tera Normal Ursaring-B's Silk Scarf-boosted Blood Moon. The Speed EVs let Glimmora outspeed Jolly Ursaluna and Jolly Kingambit, both rare but major threats to it.

Tera Types
========

* **Tera Dependecy - High**: Glimmora's awkward defensive typing means Terastallization is often key for surprising common revenge killers like Gholdengo and Ursaluna-B.

* **Grass**: Tera Grass is a powerful defensive and offensive option, letting Glimmora tank against foes like Ursaluna-B, Gholdengo, and Primarina while boosting Energy Ball's power.

* **Ground**: Tera Ground isn't as amazing as Tera Grass defensively due to retaining the Water-type weakness, but it ensures that Earth Power will now OHKO offensive Gholdengo and deal massive damage to defensive Archaludon.

Given Glimmora's base SpA, I'm almost positive the nature on AV should be Modest not Bold. If Bold actually provides something, it's really not obvious what so please list it.

* Glimmora's defensive typing isn't spectacular, but Toxic Debris is such a strong ability (this is fluff that doesn't explain why Toxic Debris specifically benefits this set, either reword this portion or remove it entirely) that it still makes sense as a to use a defensive Pokemon set. (clarity)

* Wearing an Assault Vest takes advantage of most opponents aiming to avoid Toxic Debris's activation, giving this set good luring potential against revenge killers like Gholdengo.

* **Earth Power**: Hitting Gholdengo and Archaludon super effectively (I'm assuming this is what you meant, as Glimmora can hit them with other attacks in this set; please let me know if there's an issue with this addition) is essential for Glimmora to truly take advantage of Assault Vest and Terastallization.

* **Energy Ball**: Ursaluna-B is a high-value (AH) target for this set, making Energy Ball the best coverage move for the job.
