Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Hackmons Premier League, the team tournament that showcases what the best Hackmons players have to offer!
- Roster and Schedule | Standings (Records) | Replays | Commencement -

Scheduling is up to the individual players, though managers can be contacted for any sort of problem (opponent ghosting, impossiblity to play, or anything else). If your opponent is missing, the activity timer can be started by your manager pinging the opposing managers in the manager chat, and by pinging the entire oponent team in the missing player chat in the HPL I server. This allows for a substitution to be arranged feasibly.
Please schedule through posts on your own or your opponent's Smogon wall, so activity calls are easy to solve (you can schedule somewhere else e.g. Discord and make it official on Smogon wall).
Respect general rules of conduct and tournament rules stated here.
If a substitution is made, tag both hosts (BoingK Test Rex), the opposing managing team (both), the opposing player, the player getting subbed in, and the player getting subbed out. Players that are subbed out may not be subbed back in the same week.
Replays are mandatory for the wins to count.

Fourth slot for playoffs will be between the :celesteela: or the :ampharos_mega:.
These are the conditions for each:
-If Celeteelas win or tie their week, they qualify for playoffs regardless of Giraffes performance.
-If Celesteelas lose their week but Giraffes win theirs, Giraffes will qualify for playoffs.
-If Celesteelas lose their week but Giraffes tie theirs, Celesteelas will qualify for playoffs.
-If Celesteelas and Giraffes lose their week, Celesteelas qualify for playoffs.

SV: treeko928 (60) vs ghostlike (40) - ghost didn't win last time they played and treeko is pretty strong, also the giraffes care about this week while the necros might slack off on building.
SV: damflame (45) 3 vs Quantum Tesseract (55) - Qt is consistent as always but hasn't brought anything particularly impressive, damflame could call them out with good prep.
SS: Andyboy (30) vs Nihilslave (70) - Nihilslave is the goat.
SM: Stolen Identity (30) vs XxLazzerpenguinxX (70) - SI is demotivated with mons and hasn't been playing g7 wheras sev has had the previous weeks to practice. Still a highlight game if SI cooks.

I think the registeels def have the better slots in bh and ph besides a couple making this really hard for celesteelas to win, if they do get some luck however they could win

If this were week 1 I'd give a slight edge to lag since they have support from N and generally seem eager to play test games, but they're less incentivized to win at this point.

ORAS PH: berry (60) vs CommandoBruh (40)
Imma be real, I think berry's builds are unconvincing and not suitable for modern ORAS. However, that pales in comparison to Bounce TSpikes w/ no absorber, Rocks Defog no recovery move Swampert, Bounce Wisp Slowbro, and no Sub Prankster Metagross. To my knowledge berry is also the more solid player, though I haven't seen enough games from Commando to be completely sure of that.

ORAS PH: Iguana (38) vs NToTheN (62)
N's builds are a much more solid (broken) imo, but I won't deny that they're sometimes a little matchup-fishy and can lose to random stuff. Haven't seen Iguana play very much as of late but I think N plays more aggressively (this is a good thing). Would be more skewed if Frogs weren't already out.

USUM PH: cscl (57) vs sussyamongusdrip (43)
Some of the sets on cscl's team last week impressed me, particularly the Arena Trap U-turn PDon, that was a cook. Sussy, for their part, is not averse to bringing HO though, and I don't think cscl's teams have really been put to the test against that matchup yet. This is gonna be an interesting one.

ORAS PH: Ransei (65~75) vs Podra (25~35)
Ransei makes much more diverse builds and has a lot more experience than Podra, who afaik only ran some Shell Smash spam team on ladder and hasn't played in 2 years.

ORAS PH: teamo (30~35) vs manu 11 (65~70)
manu can build for themselves (Ransei teams can be kinda wack sometimes), and is the better clicker. I also haven't seen teamo build/play much as of late, though that means I can't totally count out them surprising me in their game(s).
 
7-3 last week its still getting better. /pick also 7-3.
SV: SpaceSpeakers vs TTTech - TTTech going for the 0-5
SV: NightEdge vs Hiusi guy - Hiusi guy's teams have not been inspiring and I think the Frogs are not very motivated atp.
SV: RoFnA vs AM - RoFnA is adept at playing against HO builds and should be able to outplay in a more balance mu
SS: hayedenn vs Shing - I'm ngl I don't actually know Shing's SS experience I just know they requested to play against hayedenn, but hayedenn has been pretty solid throughout this tour.
SM: SuperSkylake vs jasprose - Both these players have been loading highly "standard" but really I mean old/feels outdated stuff. I think this is pretty close so I'm going to bold Skylake for a win.

SV: Fish Gaming vs pannu - My credible sources tell me pannu is loading awful stuff and his path to 5-0 must be stopped.
SV: big tony 2014 vs Akira 153 - With his team in Akira is going to bring some nonsense but Akira nonsense is scary.
SV: Tack vs BugGoBrrrrrr - Really should've been started for a while now. Wheaty did get a nice win last week but it was very loseable with some plays.
SS: Tea Guzzler vs MAMP - Both players have been having a rough tour. I feel like Tea has just been getting worse matchups so I hope he can make the right choices this week.
SM: Onyx Onix 7 vs cityscapes - Realistically cityscapes is generally well-versed to deal with anything Onyx has but she must be stopped.

Hellooo. Last predicts by Mr.ChatGPT (week 3) he got a much more relaxed 16/14, which is still above 50% but still worse than its crazy week 2 predicts of 21-8.
For my own, I got a 13/17.......... that means im not only not improving, im getting worse since my previous predicts were 14/16.....................

RoFnA’s been roaring all season, and with AM feeling the pressure of a losing campaign, this match will likely be over quickly.

Shing may be on fire, but hayedenn is determined to extinguish the flames and put an end to the Frog’s brief hot streak.

SuperSkylake will give it a shot, but jasprose is still in bloom and ready to secure a much-needed point for the Frogs.

Illusio might try to pull some tricks out of the hat, but lag=bad will cruise through, as Illusio’s motivation has likely faded.

Berry’s sweetness won’t be enough to stop CommandoBruh, who’s coming in with all guns blazing. Another win for the Groudons here.

Iguana is cool and collected under pressure, and with NToTheN demotivated, Iguana will pull off a victory here.

Fant'sy Beast might bring creativity, but MultiAmmiratore is focused and determined to secure the win for the Groudons.
SS HC: Rei vs Ivar57
Rei’s experience and drive will overpower Ivar57, who seems to be losing steam at this point. Another point for the Groudons.

Exact seeding is more complicated so this is just going to consider the possible playoffs matchups.

As Test Rex already mentioned, 3 teams are already qualified and 1 team is eliminated. This leaves Celesteelas and Giraffes, in which Giraffes only qualify if they win AND the Celesteelas lose. For convenience the undetermined team will henceforth be referred to as the last team.
Some observations first:
It is impossible for Groudons to be last seed, as Celesteelas cannot pass them. Similarly it is impossible for the Last Team to be first seed.
It seems initially that it is possible for Necrozmas to be last seed due to Bo10 differential swings, but because Celesteelas play Registeels, they cannot both pass Necrozmas, so it is also impossible for Necrozmas to be last seed.
Thus one of Registeels and Last Team must be last seed.
If Giraffes qualify they must be last seed.

Scenario 1: Groudons :groudon-primal: vs :necrozma-ultra: Necrozmas | Registeels :registeel: vs :unown: Last Team
Rather unlikely, as from above we know that Registeels must end up in First Seed for this. This means they must win their week AND BOTH Groudons and Necrozmas lose their week. Specific numbers do not matter for differential here, above condition guarantees this scenario.

Scenario 2: Groudons :groudon-primal: vs :registeel: Registeels | Necrozmas :necrozma-ultra: vs :unown: Last Team
This could occur from either Registeel or Last Team in fourth seed. For the former as mentioned it must be Celesteelas in. For the latter it requires Necrozmas first seed, requiring them to not lose and thus Giraffes out. Basically this cannot happen with Giraffes.
Registeels losing to Celesteelas puts them in fourth seed. Then for Groudons to be first seed they need an equal or better result compared to the Necrozmas to maintain the lead, as with Necrozma's overwhelming differential a tied score ensures they will be ahead.
Registeels not losing puts the Last Team in fourth seed. As aformentioned this is the Celesteelas. Necrozmas then need to get a better result than the Groudons to pass the Groudons. With Celesteelas securing one win in their matchup it is no longer possible for there to be a tie in differential from Registeels winning 10-0 and Necrozma tying.

Scenario 3: Groudons :groudon-primal: vs :unown: Last Team | Necrozmas :necrozma-ultra: vs :registeel: Registeels
This is basically a different combination of the above conditions with Registeels losing to place in fourth and Necrozmas hitting condition for first. OR Registeels not losing and Groudons hitting condition for first.

SV HC: Fragments vs Amaranth - Amaranth has been on fire in these games + they do bo5's so giving them that game.
SS HC: platinumCheesecake vs Nudepantsman - Having to face both of them it feels like Platty had more awareness when playing and therefore reacted differently which has helped them gain more info and clutching out the endgame scenarios way more securely. Platty, Nudepants, and PantynStocking facing each other are something I consider the stackiest player MU in hackmons cups so you know I am going to try and watch this(unless they schedule this shit at 3 am,,,).

SV HC: MultiAmmiratore vs Fant'sy Beast - Hackmons Cup is just who's getting better RNG and who plays better so I don't really mind predicting against my own teammate. Alright back to the main topic, Multi has been having a streak here while I find Fant'sy performance a bit lacking. I do want to see them prove me wrong but rn I feel like Multi has too much momentum.
SS HC: Rei vs Ivar57 - I hate Ivar57 in Hackmons Cup like bruhhhh. Bro will get some of the strongest defensive combos and will force me to play in BH style in this damn tier like dude, stop stalling me in hackmons cup. You with a recovery are some of the most awful things I've do face against bc damn you do not let those mons die bruh. Which is why Rei gonna be asleep after their set like fr fr.

SV HC: PrinceOfAllTacos vs A Cake Wearing A Hat - Poat played and mained ZU, A Cake Wearing a Hate has not, Cake has a better long username, and he got that Dunsparce + cake avatar though that Dragonite mail avatar is fire. So sorting out this in score. +1 for username, +0.5 for that, and +67.5 because Poat playing ZU gives him negative points tbh but for being nice I'll give more positive points to Cake. 69/0 to them, lets goo Cake!!
SS HC: Mathy vs relevartemit - Mathy has yet to lose an SS game, but Relvarte really stepped up his game from w2 and I think he will make an upset here. Go relevarte!!!
