That's what really kills me. We've got great pitching, and our fielding isn't bad either. We just cannot seem to provide that great defense with run support. When we went 5-0 at the start of the season, every single one of those games was decided either by a single run or in extra innings. I predicted that we wouldn't be able to sustain winning in that fashion, and I was right. If our pitching was slightly worse, we'd be in the basement with the White Sox right now. It's definitely possible that we'll get some great bats in the next few years and start wrecking shop, but I can't shake the feeling that we're just going to waste all of this elite pitching. So it goes.Tigers quietly have one of the best rotations in the league though, I think there's a lot to be excited about for them. AL Central is surprisingly strong so far this season but I think they're going to contend with Cleveland for that division within the next couple years.
This is I agree with. Go Tigers! (we're gonna score 2 runs against the dbacks later after smashing them 13-0)You shut up! Only I can shit on my team!
I thought about making a post about last night's thumping, but decided against it because we still have two more games to play in Arizona. Blowing the Diamondbacks out by 13 runs and going on to drop the series would be a very Tigers thing to do.This is I agree with. Go Tigers! Well I got some news for you...I thought about making a post about last night's thumping, but decided against it because we still have two more games to play in Arizona. Blowing the Diamondbacks out by 13 runs and going on to drop the series would be a very Tigers thing to do.
Indeed. I am most pleased. When I saw that Javier Báez was hitting the ball consistently, I thought that the world was ending. Whatever this newfound power is, I hope it sticks around.Well I got some news for you...
We won the series (8-3 win today)
Update: What the fuck, man?Indeed. I am most pleased. When I saw that Javier Báez was hitting the ball consistently, I thought that the world was ending. Whatever this newfound power is, I hope it sticks around.
They are, for all their faults, at least bad in a funny way. I hope they break the record. The Mets deserve one good thing in this world.I watch White Sox highlights because I want to see them go below the expansion-era (if I remember correctly) 120-loss Mets team based on the sheer lack of good players that they currently have. Benintendi and Robert are fine players, not sure what on earth happened to them this year. Crochet pitching well is nice to see, but the rest of that pitching staff (looking at you, Chris Flexen) is horrendous.
the world is ending, how has this happened? The Tigers clinched a playoff spot! We actually did it! The meme is real! Detroit has two good sports teams at once!
31-11 in their past 42. Legitimately unreal.the world is ending, how has this happened?
look what happens when there's no trashcans involvedWe swept the Astros! We're going to the fucking ALDS! Unbelievable!
Three of the final four in the AL are Central teams. What a time to be alive.THE ROYALS SWEPT THE O’S
I don't want to root against your team in a situation where we're not division rivals, but I do want the Mets to continue being the NL's ultimate meme team, so I'm really torn going into this game three.View attachment 674731
we're still here
through everyone and everything
friends in the other central, may we all party together in heaven or hell
So much for the brewers still being hereView attachment 674731
