when you think about it, the human brain is kind of like a quarterback.
it can produce incomplete thoughts: maybe it got interrupted while thinking, or it abandoned it mid-thought. it can fumble: it thinks something for you to say, you blurt it out, and then you immediately realise that you maybe shouldn't have said it. and, of course, there's the complete thought, which i imagine is what most thoughts would fall under.
