Zack Sabre Jr. has won NJPW's G1 Climax this year! Instead of electing to cash in his win for an IWGP Title match in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, he's chosen to cash it in at the King of Pro Wrestling show happening on October 14th - a week before NJPW goes to the UK for Royal Quest. Seems pretty likely he's winning the title and bringing it home!

zack sabre jr is the bryan danielson of modern day --- its not a slight it's no different then when like jericho was a younger hbk or chris {redacted] was a young dynamite kid. dude is a super talented. i really love his work.

very excited, gonna catch live as opposed to the day after like it usually goes, praise european PPVs. not as invested in any one storyline as i was last year with mjf vs. cole, but on the other hand there should be a plethora of bangers. danielson vs. swerve and mjf vs. ospreay should both be classics

Toni/Mariah is what I'm most excited about - probably because it's had the best build. But yeah Swerve/Danielson and Ospreay/MJF are going to be amazing.

also, I'm REALLY hoping Jamie Hayter returns - the Mercedes/Kamille/Britt stuff seems to be setting it up perfectly.

i havent got to watch All In in full yet but im super happy for Bryan, i know he was pulling a "I dont want it" for awhile but outside Mox he's been THEIR GUY, only right to let him get some glory before he rides off.

Pretty stacked card for tonight. Can't really see any of these matches not being good at the very least. Swerve/Hanger's going to be insane.

That Cage match was absolutely insane and some of the most brutal stuff I've ever seen in a wrestling match.

Hangman finally killed Swerve Strickland and after all that still felt empty at the end.
He's now absolutely lost in the madness that was brought out of him by Swerve.

Amazing show from start to end. Definitely go out of your way to see Ospreay vs PAC, Stat vs Willow, and of course the cage match. I honestly think this might be my top PPV of the year so far.

i hope Nigel keeps wrestling (the fact he looks so good after a decade plus is incredible) and *MAYBE HOT TAKE* but think he's a perfect candidate to perhaps give a run with a title and help these younger dudes really learn the game since Nigel is a prototype - those who watched him in ROH know.
No rush for him getting any strap be it midcard or main event, but I do hope they let him keep working. I missed Nigel - I grew up on prime ROH/TNA as the alt to WWE when it got stale. They helped get me thru my sad college days (just didnt adjust well lol) when WWE was like "EH, I can miss it this week."

Big agree - he was fantastic in the match against Bryan (and the Casino BR at All In). The only title I can see him possibly holding is the TNT after Jack Perry loses it to some babyface because there's no way he'd be going over Ospreay or Okada. Unless he wants to go have another ROH run, but that brand is basically on life support rn...

Utami Hayashishita wins the first ever Marigold Dream Star GP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a really fun tournament with a lot of fantastic matches, but I think they saved some of the very best of them for the Final show. Miku Aono vs Nanae Takahashi, Bozilla vs Sareee, Utami vs Kouki Amarei, and Utami vs Mai Sakurai were all really good and well worth going out of your way to see. Heck, even NORI vs Victoria Yuzuki was fun for the little bit of time it went.

Also, Bozilla got to breathe fire during her entrance. How dope is that?!

I cannot wait to see Utami fight Sareee (or whoever has the red belt by the time Utami decides to challenge for it).

they're saying many are rating Drew vs Punk in Hell in a Cell as WWE's match of the year, just off top of my head nothing else really jumped out like "NO! ITS THIS!" but at same time I'm like "Are we doing the recency thing?" - I think it could be, I'ma have to legit think about that lol.

That said, it was an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE MATCH definitely the best Hell in a Cell in years, and really showed how a "blood feud" should be "paid off" (do think it's time to keep em apart for a lil while now, aint gonna top that doing 4-10 minute segments on RAW), if anything save that for a moment they cross paths again at the Rumble or something.

Sidenote: Saw Sean Ross Sapp tweet Abyss was the producer for that match and I legit chuckled and said to myself "That makes SO MUCH sense."

for WWE MOTY it's gotta be that or Cody/AJ from Backlash, right? then again I watch so much wrestling that I've probably forgotten some other worthy WWE MOTYCs

that said, big agree on it being incredible and yeah Abyss' fingerprints were all over it clearly lol

the feud should be over now but I have no idea how Drew can cleanly move on from it - he'll probably take some time off while Punk goes for the WHC but when he comes back IDK what he'll do

I was listening to Solomonster (my fav wrestling podcast) and he proposed doing a trade for Drew to go to SD, I forgot who he said RAW would get but that could work too. Time off or a trade works but the Punk v Drew stuff definitely should breathe for awhile now.

Also I could see Cody/AJ being a contender against it for sure for WWE MotY for sure..

Thank you Bryan Danielson for everything you've put yourself through for our entertainment.

It may not have ended like we all wanted but you showcased just how damn good you are no matter the result.

The Greatest Of All Time.

Also shout out to a massive win for Konosuke Takeshita, Finally winning a championship after a few start/stop pushes since coming to AEW.

The Triple Threat between Him, Ricochet and Ospreay was some of the greatest action you could witness in a match.

Definitely check it out if you haven't already.
