yeah i think what im looking for now is just a commitment to something rather than "we will see" if that makes sense, im sure there are many things that could potentially work!

Yeah it's currently impossible for you to help me in Russia. This is why I'm interested in an alliance with someone who can pressure russia as well and a triple alliance for me seems attractive at the moment. I'm fine with helping you into the Balcans. Also you have north, east and west to look for expansion remember:blobpex:

I will probably explain my thoughts better tomorrow.

Well it was me, you can do it to gain early centers and if you get more stuff in the nordic countries then it doesn't look hard to defend.

well north would mean attacking germany or you, who you are including in the alliance and west just means eternal bonking with france afaik, and it will take quite a few terms at that even if i try

so my only real option is east, we can talk more tomorrow so long as youre happy to commit to giving me a centre in balkans in 1902 then we are locked in and can potentially destroy turkey :)

I mean if you really want to go against him immediately you could try to block him from gaining Hol

British General: you can indicate that you want to ally by either doing that (by attempting to convoy into Hol) or supporting A Pic > Bel with NWG fleet (You would take Nwy with F NWG). The latter is a safer option

We can offer you support against France as well as a lion's share of their territory (likely the Iberians + other territorial gains + perhaps Belgium), like I said. We can also offer you a lion's share of the Scands (both Sweden and Denmark) if Russia does decide to go on the offensive against us with Sunny's support. I do see a future where we can cooperate and win together, but allying with Sunny won't help you achieve that future.

Allying with Sunny only causes a complete melee in the West. Causing this mess allows Russia and Turkey to grow stronger, which leads to them getting more fleets to attack you in the North and destabilize the situation in the South. Letting them do this puts them in a very strong position to duo or solo win, considering I highly doubt we can organize a stalemate line if the situation gets that bad.

Duskfall98 I highly suggest you tell your general to do the following:

Italy
Ven -> Pie
ION -> Tun
Apu -> Ven

Really, you can do anything, I just want your commitment with an army in Piedmont.

Alice Kazumi: get as many troops as you can - I do see a potential Russo-Turkish attack as it is realistically the only way for them to expand, although if you can convince a stab from either that would be great for you.

Sunny, I'm organizing a Western triple out of fear of a Turkish coalition. If you want to ally with me, prove to me why you'd be a stronger ally than either Italy or Austria-Hungary.
 
NightEmerald - I am open to an allyship with you in the future. Same for you, HydrogenHydreigon. Stability in the region is in all of our best interests, but be warned that if one of you attack me I will not hesitate to order my general to support the other.

CrreamyKitty - We can most certainly ally, as long as you do not show aggression towards me or Austria-Hungary or any intent of moving westwards past a certain amount (which I will not state right now). We're too far to really help one another, but it could certainly help late-game and G-T alliances are plenty common (as are E-T, but I digress).

lmao what causes a "melee in the west" is Italy...guess what...MOVING west, not hydro helping one of E-G against the other. (See e.g. first game)

Some fighting between E-F-G is to be expected, but if you want Tommy to go A Pie in 1901 you may as well say GG to the eventual jugg victory because all four of E/F/I/G will be utterly boned against the wave from the east.

While Iberia is big on the map, what you are ultimately proposing is that you divide my centers between both you, hydro, and tommy. I quite simply don't have that much pie to offer y'all. You say that Hydro would get Iberia...but then what about Tommy? You tell Alice to muster troops against a potential RT jugg--but then again, what about Tommy?
 
I will leave it up to my / hydro's generals to determine the best course of action, but suffice it to say that I believe that EF has a much better chance for Hydro's success objectively than EG
 
I think the alternative is that we form the western triple against a jugg BUT again I don't see that as immediately threatening in 1901. Additionally, I fail to see how we can form said stalemate line if you just straight-up encourage an Italian incursion. DBD is proposing two simultaneous paths at once, and I, for one, would like to see how he resolves this discrepancy.
 
HydrogenHydreigon choose your destiny - go with Sunny and fight an E-F vs. G-I-A western theater, or help us and fight a E-G-I-A vs. R-T global theater where all the members keep each other honest with the threat of a stab.
 
I don't even think that Hydro needs to make such a decision at this time, and presenting this ultimatum screams "high-pressure sales tactics" to me. Your proposal presupposes that a) I-A will remain loyal to your group and won't just stab you, and b) that Hydro would not be the most junior power in this alliance (perhaps close 2nd would be Tommy)--I just fail to see from an objective standpoint what he has to gain at this time beyond limited expansion and eventual demise.

I would invite everyone to consider this point: If DBD was REALLY worried about R-T he wouldn't be telling Hydro and Tommy to go West--he'd be telling them + me to go East (Because that's where R-T are located!)

Why would I-A stab me with the threat of Russia + Turkey looming over both their shoulders? Perhaps in the case of an alliance between Austria and Turkey as well as Italy and you, that would be the only real time where IA could stab without screwing themselves over.

Hydro doesn't gain "limited expansion" if he goes with me, he gains the Iberian Peninsula and the Scands (of course, this is negotiated) and has the opportunity to keep me in check if I try to order a stab.

Hydro doesn't have to make such a decision, but presenting it as "me making this ultimatum" is patently untrue. I reached out to Alice and Tommy about starting the Central Triple, to which you reached out to Hydro saying that allying was "the only way for you both to stay alive". So really, it's you posing the ultimatum here - go with you or don't and "die".

I'm going to help Alice on the Eastern front, but eventually we will need centers to create fleets to fight Russian naval dominance and at that point we can go west. Sorry I'm not telling Hydro and Tommy to go East for zero impact? (Neither can even do much at this stage.)
