where am i supposed to farm reacts from if the meta discussion thread goes away? i work so hard, toiling all day in the hot sun and the pouring rain and the driving sleet all at the same time, to harvest those reacts and take them to the market to hawk at people who probably won't even eat them all, just so i can put food on the table for myself and my family of 50, all of whom are also humble react farmers like myself. think of the children, divine! cry not for me, for i have lived my life, but who will pass on my legacy if they are gone?
what did i tell y'all, i was doing this for a reason

Palafin isn't all that, run bolt, kyurem or waterpon and watch how you can sort of just destroy
To be fair on the Kyurem point, Kyurem can only offensively check it. It does not want to switch into or stay in on a faster Close Combat coming off 160 Attack. Waterpon being a solid check is valid though (although CC still does chunk it hard), but even Bolt can be cheesed by Palafin choosing to run Bulk Up + Encore or something if it clicks the wrong move on it. People forget how wide Palafin’s movepool is.

I raise you two even more valid counters then, alomomola and dondozo. Dozo turns the fin mu into a stalemate that ends when either one of them switches out, and mola can completely shut off fin with a scald burn. Another solid check can be dragapult, immune to dpunch if we talk about bulk up fin, and resists the stab jet punch (tho idk how well pult's bulk can survive against fin), and with its speed it can most likely get a will-o off to shut off fin and then hex away (or force it to tera fire if it has that), or it can probably just nuke it with specs dmeteor or smth

As far as I can tell, all the OU Suspect votes will be pooled together at the end, so individual crusades probably don't matter a toooooon? I'm curious how voting on it at the end will work though, as some people can only throw 1-500 likes for something while Mr Finch threw almost two hundred thousand and prominent creators seem to be hovering around 10k.

Also waterpon can heal off the damage CC will do with horn leech (or by swapping into other water type moves if it can)

Waterpon cannot switch into CC under any circumstance, really. +Speed is like 85-101% and Adamant is like 98-115% or something. A single layer of hazards means Waterpon cant switch in without risking dying. Thank you Agency for this information on today's vid.

That said, coming in after a ko its almost certainly one of the best checks as it can Encore it into a water/ice/setup move or just hit that whip

name me defensive checks that don't lose to taunt bu covert.
Dondozo, spam the fuck out of that body press you ain't gonna die anytime soon it's fucking dondozo (tho fin can heal itself quite a lot)
Or flip turn with mola into a mon that can fight back against it more comfortably like boots will-o dragapult, bulky ghold, encore waterpon or even iron defense zamazenta

Also you can just knock off the covert with someone else and then scald burn the fin, this is why tera fire is much better for bulk up sets imo

Don't we have a sick water absorb in Wogerpon, and isn't ZtH a nothing ability beyond requiring Palafin switch out in its weaker (70 base attack) form if it uses flip turn, thus almost always getting the opponent some momentum back? Unless you plan on double switching, you kinda have to waste a turn, where Gholdengo's Hazard Ingrain means that you're also likely taking some damage?
It isn't fucking nothing, but it likely isn't Homeflipper.

Like I said before, Palafin’s movepool is pretty big (with Encore shutting Dozo down pretty badly and Taunt bullying Alo) and it even has 106 SpA to take advantage of more niche options. Grass Knot is pretty much a Dozo killing move and Alo doesn’t like having to eat that either. Whatever Palafin feels like checking/countering for the day, it can put on a move to do so.
